I've always been a fan of Real Tacos, but this was my first visit to the Ponce City Market location, and it definitely lived up to the hype! I ordered the al pastor tacos with rice and black beans, plus an order of nachos to share which came w/refried beans . The tacos were packed with flavor, the pork was tender and well-seasoned, and the rice honestly THE BEST RICE...EVER and beans were the perfect sides. The nachos disappeared quickly--always a good sign esp, when the cheese do NOT freeze up on you like grade school glue! Nope no cold glue like cheese served here! Nope! The real standout for me...though, was the MIAMI VICE (soft serve frozen margarita). It was smooth, refreshing, and absolutely delicious--especially on a warm Atlanta day. It's one of those drinks you'll find yourself craving long after you've left. I came with a couple of friends, and they've been texting me ever since about how much they loved the food and the overall experience. That's always a sign you've picked a winner! This location is the largest one I've been too! Between the vibrant atmosphere, friendly service, consistently flavorful food, and that amazing frozen margarita, Real Tacos continues to be one of my favorite spots for authentic Mexican food. I've visited multiple Rreal Tacos locations and decided to meet up with friends at the Beltline spot this time. The layout is great--it's two levels, with one entrance from the Kroger/Ponce area and another directly off the Beltline. The lower level is indoors, while the second level features a fantastic outdoor patio, and both levels have their own bar. The whole restaurant has a really fun, tropical feel. Ordering is super easy. You just scan the QR code on your table to view the menu. Our server, Simone, was fantastic! We all tried a mix of drinks and entrees: Food: I ordered the taco special (two tacos of your choice with a side of rice and beans). One friend went with the pork belly & plantain nachos, and another got a combo of two grilled chicken, one shrimp, and one fish taco. Everything was delicious. After a night out, we stopped by for brunch for some tacos and Micheladas. The food was fine, but the server, Amania, was so strange. She leaned completely over the table, with both elbows on the table, and took the order basically all over my partner's space. It was one of the strangest things I've experienced at a restaurant. The Michelada was good, the tacos were fine, and the hot sauce was good but then we had an issue with the check. Instead of trying to figure out what happened, they basically said, "Don't worry about it, we got it," and rushed us out. I love Rreal Tacos! The vibe at this location is probably my favorite of all of them that I've been too. Particularly the patio that sits right on the Beltline. It makes you feel like you're somewhere on vacation, lol. If you go on the weekend, there might be a bit of a wait. We were quoted 45 minutes, but honestly it may have been more like 20. Ponce City Market is right across the street and the Beltine is full of action so it's easy to kill time while you wait. Just don't go too far. The tacos are good and has been pretty consistent across all locations. The salsa is very fresh - loved it! I do think since chips and salsa are not complimentary they can give you a bit more chips. We visited this Rreal Tacos - Beltline location for dinner on a Sunday night. There was limited free parking in a lot called Ford Factory Lofts Lot. When we entered the building, security verified that parking was free for two hours for those visiting the businesses and restaurants that were connected to it. My friend arrived before we did. She was able to put us on the waiting list and once we were all together we were able to sit within three minutes. They sat us in an area adjacent to a bar on the upper level but outside. There were lamps to help with the lack of light. Our server was friendly. I was immediately impressed by the decor for the holiday season. The grinch fur on the bar chairs were a nice touch, even if post Christmas. We ordered three Burrito Bowls and one order of Quesabirria with consome. Everyone liked their food. Love it here! I come here frequently, but this is my first review! This is a great go to spot! It is near ponce city market and the back patio is up against the beltline! There is parking in the storefront area that is free parking, but beware because if you park just across the other side of the entry street driveway, you do have to pay for parking and please pay because I saw some cars get a boot last week! You do have to walk through a door with a short hallway to get too the main entrance. I enjoy sitting outside but have sat both inside and outside. There are plenty of tables, almost a bit much, as walking space is tight when it is full! I have never ordered anything here that is not flavorful and yummy! Usually when I'm with a group of friends, we order the taco feast which has 4 proteins and tortillas and toppings to build your own tacos. One of my favorite items is the elote! The margaritas are fantastic and try all the flavors so that you can pick your favorite! They recently added the soft serve margaritas that I will order at the end of the meal almost like a dessert! They have strawberry and matcha flavors and you can get a mixture of the two flavors. Every server that I have ever encountered is friendly, checks in often and makes the experience fun! They had the door open upstairs letting all the cold air in. Everyone inside still had their hats and coats on. I didn't get why it was open. Friday night, my friends and I celebrated a birthday at Rreal Tacos. We didn't have reservations, so our wait was a bit long, but the ladies entertained themselves at the bar. My only frustration with this part was that they didn't give us the option to sit outside until we inquire how much longer our wait will be after already waiting for over an hour. It was completely open upstairs, and we were okay with the cold because they had outdoor heaters. The service was decent. Our waitress communicated well and made sure we were good. The decor was extremely cute and well executed. The music was on point. I felt like I was in Miami listening to reggaton, which I enjoyed. The food was really good; we all thoroughly enjoyed everything on our plates. Would I return? Yes! Visited Rreal Tacos this evening and it was completed decked out in Christmas decor! Tacos were super filling and around $5 each, 2 was plenty for each of us. My favorite was the barbacoa. Guacamole was good although chips tasted a bit stale. Holiday Family Dinner for 4 As we approached I noticed they have a small shared parking lot and that immediate lot was full. We crossed the street to the overflow parking and quickly found an available spot. This lot had the usual scan and pay, with very reasonable prices about $7 for 3 hours. After the short walk over to the restaurant, I went inside and put my name on the list. I had called ahead to try to make a reservation, but since they were so busy during the holiday season they were not taking reservations because of the holiday pop up. I was surprised and happy when they told me the wait was only about 30 minutes. While we waited, we wandered around checking out some of the holiday decorations. We then walked up the stairs, and the BeltLine was right there. Our daughters stepped out onto the BeltLine and, of course, looked for a good spot for a photo op. About 30 minutes later, I checked back in with the hostess, and she said it would be just a few more minutes, but our table was basically ready. That hostess was doing everything. She was checking in new guests, answering the phone, handling delivery pickups, and still keeping a great attitude. She even led us to our table and provided menus. That is a lot to juggle. We reviewed the extensive menu. We have been to Rreal Taco before, just not this location. Everyone was ready with their drink and food orders, by the time our server arrived. We started with the Trio appetizer, which is the perfect Rreal Taco starter. A small scoop of queso, guacamole, and salsa. Wifey ordered a strawberry margarita and the carnitas burrito bowl. I ordered three tacos, el pastor, chicken, and carnitas, with a side of black beans and a Creature Comforts Tropicalia. My youngest ordered The Rudolph, which is basically a spiked eggnog, along with a couple birria tacos. My oldest ordered a mango and pineapple mocktail, the chicken birria, and an order of plantains, but they were out of plantains and did not have them at that time. Wifey went to the restroom and said she had to report it to the hostess because it was extremely nasty inside. She informed her she would let the manager know. The Trio came out fast and it was very good. Everybody especially loved the queso. Wifey's carnitas burrito bowl came out right after the Trio, even before the drinks. Everything was coming out of sequence, and we had to ask our server to check on our drinks. Also we realized we were seated at a strange table for four. One seat had its back to a huge pillar that blocked the view of the holiday decorations. The seat opposite the pillar, where I was sitting, was right in a high traffic aisle. About every 5th person bumped my chair as they walked by. It was annoying, but I soldiered through it. Eventually, all the food and drinks made it to the table, and we dug in. My oldest was surprised that her chicken birria only came with one taco, but she said it was large and filling enough. I enjoyed my trio of tacos, the flavor was good on all of them. My youngest and Wifey both enjoyed their meals, and Wifey even had enough left to take home. Before we headed out, Wifey and my oldest added a couple of tres leches cakes to go. It was nice being able to sit on the patio and watch people and families interact with each other on the beltline. We came during their Halloween pop-up bar. I asked about an outdoor patio, and the hostess said the sun was hitting hard out there and there were no shaded areas. The upstairs has the outside seating in the downstairs is very open. There was a lot going on because they had just opened.
