Fish taco w/avocado added, skirt steak taco
    Corinne C.

$7 for this much cheese dip should be a crime. The tacos were tasty at least and I appreciated the generous portion of lime and avocado. EDIT: The owner Alan responded to my concerns and sent me a refund, plus interest! What a guy. More restaurant owners around ATL should be like him, that is really putting the customer first and I appreciate it. Now I will have to make it my beeswax to check out the original El Tesoro location. Thanks again Alan!

Good food located inside Wild Heaven Brewing! My go to is the veggie nachos. It's a little pricey but the portions are usually big. You have to pay for parking now but you can get 2 hours free or snag a coupon code from Wild Heaven Brewing for free parking all day!

Delicious tacos!! The food here was great, the menu has a lot of options and there's a nice drinks selection as well. I got asada tacos which were so good, the tostada was only okay. Parking was kind of a nightmare but there's a small gravel lot across the street, I'd recommend going earlier for dinner there's always a long line but it goes pretty fast! It's only outdoor seating but the lights and vibes are definitely a vibe for a fun get together. Good food, just be prepared to stand in line. 4/5 food 5/5 service 5/5 vibes

Nothing bad, just no standouts. Family atmosphere in being kid friendly in the new White/Lee area in West End. Plenty of indoor seating. Was having trivia on Tuesday and has events on each night. Food was ok in what seemed to be items made in the morning and kept on a steam table but in the kitchen. Drinks were premade with the frozen margaritas. Order in line and food is brought to your table.

I really love the atmosphere and the service that I received at this place and walking in the cashier was super friendly and helpful, and every employee that passed by me, spoke to me. It was even at one point that I think the owner was there and I was standing there and he was like hey are you OK? Have you been out so very outgoing and friendly staff so let's talk about the food so I've been on a very specific mission to find the best Carne Asada in Georgia because I'm a southern California girl and more important I'm a San Diego girl. If you know anything about San Diego, we will argue with anybody professing that we have the best Mexican food in the world and although the Mexican food that I've eaten in Atlanta has some really good flavor the burrito that I have on this place out of town, the meat was seasoned perfect too perfection. I made modifications to their burrito to make it more like what I like from home so I removed the rice and beans and guacamole and pico de gallo and I think that impacted their rendition of the burrito. I will say that they use a much better grade of meat than what issues in San Diego. I believe they use flank steak and that is more expensive. However, I was disappointed by the amount of meat in the burrito and I think they overcompensate it with a guacamole and so that impacted the score I would've given them a five out of five, but I understand that if you're used to filling a burrito with rice and beans and somebody's just wanting meat, you're not gonna just fill it up with with meat will I ever eat here again maybe but if I do, I will order the food as they have it listed and not try to make modifications and I will go in there understanding that it is on the higher end of prices for Mexican food than I'm used to. I'm not used to paying $19 for a burrito and $22 after tip not saying I won't. I'm just not used to it, especially when I thought that the amount of meat was really low there salsa although I thought it was strange it was in a packet was 10 out of 10. I hope this helps. I hope everybody reads this and says don't make modifications to their food order as it is and that would probably be the best way to go about it.

After doing a bike ride, I stopped here at El Tesoro, which is located inside of the Lee+White food hall in the West End. The portion size and cost is definitely a selling point here as it's filling and fairly affordable. Additionally, the food was made fresh and took about 10 minutes to come out, if that. Taste wise, being from Texas and being a huge fan of Mexican food, the burrito was just okay to me which prompted an average rating.

I ordered family nachos and a drink, and they gave me a small cup that was barely half full You really can't make this up.

I ordered family nachos and a drink, and they gave me a small cup that was barely half full You really can't make this up. I could've bought a 99-cent canned soda and gotten more to drink than what I paid $4 for here. Please go out of business if filling a small cup is hurting you that bad

The food was spot on my wife and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The service was what you would want it to be attentive, prompt, and willing to offer suggestions. Had the bulldog margarita thing was a little expensive and not very spicy however, the Mexican mule was great. We definitely go back again and recommend it if someone wanted Mexican in that area.

Birria tacos are top notch! Thursdays only
    Britney C.

Go on Thursdays for delicious birria tacos. It's a bit salty, but these are still top tier tacos. The meat is very rich, and I love how they crisp the shell. Andddd where else can you get a $9 margarita? Other honorable mention - steak Mulita. Just go, thank me later. Free parking & other breweries to visit. Picnic style sitting inside & out. Also has couches & tvs inside. Friendly service.

We had to make a decision quickly when we were pivoting, and when we came across the great reviews and photos of the food. we didn't think twice about checking to see if we could make it happen. When we arrived, the staff was already preparing our table, so we only had to wait a few minutes before being seated. The space is pretty tight, and you're going to be close to the tables near you, but we were able to sit comfortably. Our server came over quickly to take our drink orders, and afterward she came back to answer any questions. Most of the food was ready at the same time. We appreciated that it came out as it was ready and wasn't left sitting. And everyone enjoyed the food! The only "complaint" one of my friends had was that she thought there was a little too much sauce in her shrimp and grits dish. She felt that the sauce, while it tasted great, overpowered the dish and she would've liked to taste more of the grits flavor. All in all, I'd say we'll likely be back to try something else on the menu.

That said, the aesthetic feels less Buckingham Palace and more whimsical London antique shop -- charming & eclectic. I ordered the blueberry lavender matcha and a breakfast plate. The menu names were definitely on brand, but not quite catchy enough for me to remember them later. Both were solid, though, and hit the spot. Service was a highlight. The cashier really leaned into the accent and took the time to thoroughly explain the menu, which made the whole experience feel more immersive and welcoming. Parking was easy on an early weekday afternoon -- always a win. The space works well for small parties, but be prepared: tables are small and seating is close together. One tip: avoid sitting upstairs in Eden. It's noticeably warmer than the rest of the restaurant, and you'll likely leave smelling like breakfast. Overall, a fun, themed spot with great service. But I don't think I'll be back.

Seating is casual - find a spot to sit and then order from the digital menu at the door. Orders are taken at the counter but entrees and drinks are brought to your table. The owner Josh was extremely accommodating! He gave us some tastings of coffee, tea and the French toast. 10/10! I personally ordered the Blueberry Matcha and a Bowl (done keto). Everyone's meal looked amazing and not a crumb was left. We left with some of the canned whiskey drinks - Strawberry Whiskey Sour and Kentucky Mule made with bourbon. Josh said best enjoyed mixed together! The photo opps, food, drinks and aesthetics are so good here. Only comment is that the tables are pub or cafe style and best for small groups or just takeover a section like we did. Enjoy!

One thing I really loved was the photo booth outside in the parking garage--it was such a fun touch and made the visit even more memorable. The only downside was the parking. Unless you're lucky enough to find street parking, you'll have to park in the garage, which wasn't my favorite. Other than that, everything was great. The bartender was incredibly kind and patient, especially since I'm very picky about drinks. She helped me choose one that I ended up loving. The atmosphere inside was also really nice, with a fun and welcoming vibe. I'd definitely come back!

SUPER unimpressed with my visit here…read more Based on the decor, especially the photo area in the parking deck and the fake flower arch outside, my first impression was that this was going to be a "TikTok trap": a restaurant focused more on aesthetics than food or service. Unfortunately, that impression ended up being accurate. It took forever for our food to come out. The parties around us were clearly frustrated as well. I watched one table become visibly irritated, while another guest stopped a server to ask if the food being carried out was theirs because they had apparently been waiting over an hour. As the wait dragged on, I started paying closer attention to the decor, which I personally found tacky and gimmicky, especially the fake greenery hanging across the ceiling. The fried green tomatoes and sweet heat wings were really good, and I started to rethink my initial assessment of the restaurant. Everything went downhill from there. My "Rich Boy" sandwich itself was good, but it came with completely unseasoned fries. When I mentioned that I was supposed to have the "Rolex" fries, the server told me the plain fries were what I got. After clarifying with another server, they brought out the actual "Rolex" fries, which appeared to just be fries with a little parmesan and parsley on top. Supposedly they were truffle fries, but there wasn't even a hint of truffle flavor. My partner ordered the veggie sausage, which was overcooked and dry. Their eggs came out over easy instead of over medium, and the "signature grits" were more like cream cheese with a little bit of grits mixed in. We were told more grits would be brought out, but they never came. Another person in my party ordered the Southern seafood pasta, which had literally one piece of spinach in it. When she asked about it, the server responded that there was "more spinach coming." At that point, it became clear that Barney's is selling the illusion of luxury in order to justify premium prices for subpar food and service. It really was a TikTok trap after all. To make matters worse, when the check came, we were charged an additional $1.50 for eggs that already came with the meal. The explanation was that the eggs "came from the shell." Others in my party were also charged extra for liquor on top of the listed menu price for their drinks. Overall, I absolutely did not enjoy my experience here, and I will not be returning. Oh, and that other party that was visibly irritated with the wait had to wait even longer because there was a hair in their food.
