This is a 24hr spot that serves Tex-mex food. In my opinion, the food is over-priced. They also want you to sign the receipt in the drive-thru and look to see if you left a tip. Open 24 hours? It might as well be closed for 24 hours. The only positive thing I can say is that the tortilla chips were fresh. Beyond that, the experience was a complete letdown. The cheese was a disaster. It didn't melt; it just sat at the bottom of the container like water. There was no texture or consistency, and the nachos quickly turned into a soggy mess. The grilled chicken and steak were both bland, completely lacking seasoning, and the peppers and onions tasted like they were boiled in water--not sautéed. The entire dish lacked flavor and effort. But the real shocker? Two orders of nachos cost me a staggering $43. For that price, you expect something edible. Instead, I got limp, tasteless nachos that were nowhere near worth the cost. Not greeted at the register. Cashier seemed like she could care less if they had customers. I ordered the tacos and asked for crispy. The shells were the hard kind from the grocery store. That was a huge disappointment. I was expecting the corn tortillas fried as usual for Mexican food. I ordered the steak tacos and they were bland, the guacamole didn't even help give them flavor. I tried Mama's just a few days ago. I was in the area just cruising around and decided to grab a late lunch when I found out they have a drive thru. There was no line on a Wednesday afternoon. I ordered the beef empanada, extra beans and rice to accompany the cheese enchilada plate I ordered, and extra flour tortillas came with the meal already. Unfortunately, while I was driving in that terrible pre-Christmas ATL traffic, my whole meal went topsy turvy, so I didn't get a picture of the enchilada plate, just so you know lol. The cashier was friendly. My food came out in a decent amount of time that was to be expected. Everything was packed pretty securely, but it was still no match for that rush hour traffic and having to slam my brakes on lol. The empanada was good - flavorful, good crust/shell. I would get it again and try other ones they had. I was gonna get tacos but didn't even see them on the extensive menu at first (even though they were dead center looking back at me lol). The enchilada plate I got was okay. It wasn't horrible, but the cheese enchiladas were just alright. I think I prefer Don Pedro's enchilada plate so far. The cheese was just a little rubbery if anything. The rice and beans on the plate were pretty good. However, when I tried the extra beans I ordered on the side, they tasted like the canned kind from the store based off the seasoning. I wouldn't get extra of them again. The flour tortillas that came on the side were excellent. They tasted homemade and were fluffy and tasted fresh. I really appreciated that, because a lot of places that give tortillas on the side are usually dried out, sometimes even stale. These were very good. I would like to try their tacos sometime and other menu items, just no extra beans for me and I wouldn't get the cheese enchilada plate again probably. They gave green salsa, but I forgot to put it on my meal as it was overlooked, so I can't speak on it. It's a bit out of my way, but if I'm in the area I would come back. read more

I am really Thankful for Mamas being open during the Pandemic. They had made adjustments to their hours because these are real people that work hard and they deserve breaks too! These people are consistently nice to me. For my birthday, they gave me a big slice of cake! Which was the only thing I received on my birthday. It really made my day that I cried w. The guy in drive thru. And I return the same gesture when, I went inside and saw him working at the register. He told me his sister had passed away, and he walked from behind the counter, we hugged and cried together. I love Mamas because of the people that work here! We all have a story, we all feel things. So the tacos here are always great and they are always open late on the weekends, so it is very convenient. They are usually pretty fast and the atmosphere of the place is chill until it gets late and then it starts to pick up. A proper Mexican restaurant can be determined by the quality of the Horchata. I believe this is concentrate Horchata, not handmade. $3.95 for a horchata $14.95 for a chicken quesadilla $3.90 for a barbacoa taco This place is overpriced for the quality, and needs a reset. I came in on a late night dinner, because the area that I was in, I needed something quick and good. Mama's is open late so that's definitely a perk! I feel like after covid, a lot of stuff doesn't stay open that late anymore. I got the mixed fajita, bacon taco, sausage taco, and a grilled chicken taco. I just have to know that Mama's comes through because it has to go margaritas. This should not be skipped! Be careful, don't drink and drive, but in the same breath, that doesn't happen in a lot of drive through spots in this area. What food was pretty decent. I got the fajita and the shells came out very warm even after I had made it home. It wasn't a seasoned as I want, as far as the meat was concerned, but they gave you enough sauce to compensate. The chorizo egg and cheese taco was super flavorful. I would order that again. The grilled chicken taco was good as well. The bacon egg and cheese taco was okay, but I guess that's what you would expect from a bacon egg and cheese taco lol. Not bad. There was a weird part of the burrito that had way too much chicken, it should've been more distributed before being rolled. I was able to people watch and saw many interesting people. NEGATIVE STARS. I accidentally left my bag here last night and the employees stole all of my belongings! I was basically in an episode of cops! I tracked my keys and bag that were thrown in the employee dumpster outside of a trash bag. All belongings emptied out. Had to JUMP IN A DUMPSTER TO GET MY CAR KEYS. Then tracked my AirPods to an employees house where I left a note to return. I called to ask to speak to a manager and was told NO AND WAS HUNG UP ON.
