Came here to watch the soccer game, it was a fun time. Happy hour beers were about $4 which was nice, plus the 99 cents store had dollar beers next door. Overall a good ambiance but the staff seemed tired and uninvested. It was also annoying that there was no food service in the bar area. The staff probably should be paid more or something to improve them. For the food that's one of my biggest complaints, they didn't have vegan options. Everything was too expensive and they would get more people in the door with better and cheaper specials. They should consider hosting live music or hosting more events. They should have food/drink specials during sports events etc. More special things will make this place more of a scene to gather at. Maybe authentic music or watch parties for certain games. Also it wasn't clear if they have any social media. They should have some social media deals/coupons/secret specials. read more

I came in today for a "happy hour"... walked in, hostess said they have a happy hour till closing, what she didn't mention was that there was no service at the bar? So, basically I went to the bar lounge to get some drinks, but my surprise was, that there was no service at the bar, you need to go up to the bartender and order yourself from him, no food/appetizer service either, no wonder the place was empty... That's 0 stars, .. reason I gave them 3 star it's cause the bartender, was cool enough to let me order some tacos and served my drinks, 5 stars to that.... so I think if you need a food service you need to have a table in the dining area, no bar....bar lounge it's just a waiting when they have a waiting list, I was told... lol read more

DO NOT PAY YOUR BILL IF IT ISN'T ITEMIZED! BEWARE, came here for a dinner reservation with family and they tried to overbill us! After forcing them to itemize the bill there was a "miscellaneous" $30 charge that no one knew how it got there. They also initially stated one of our gift cards didn't work but after insisting it should as we bought it only a few days ago it magically went through. This is nothing against the food. The food is good. All of this is against my server and management. My server did not pay attention to us. Our food came in way after it was ready. We got seats close to the kitchen and we got to see our food die on the pass for at least 15 minutes before it was taken to us. By that time, everything was dry. Then they have the balls to do a 5% surcharge. Basically this means all the food you ordered was in fact slightly more expensive. They just don't tell you until you have to pay. Any place charging a surcharge deserves 0 stars. Just raise your prices. Don't surprise me with a new price after I eat. Gross business practice. I love the food but I will never be back. read more

I came here on a Tuesday night when they were serving street tacos for $3 each. For a street taco... that's a lot. Servings were skimpy, we were barely given any meat on our tacos, beans were runny, and they had NO rice. Once we sat down, we realized how much we regretted even coming to this location. I have been going to this El Torito for over 20 years and it has changed for the worst. 1. The manager greets the Latinos but not the blacks. She goes around and asks them if they need anything. 2. I always order fajitas. It was the skimpiest plate ever (photo attached) My friend ordered a steak fajita that was mostly cartilage. My other friend ordered enchiladas and it looked like a kids plate. 3. The wait to be served is extremely long. And they are under staffed so the lady who took my order was mopping, fixing drinks and cooking because she was in the back for a long time. She was extremely stressed when asked for water and more salsa. 4. I saw at least 4 tables send back there food. The table behind us sent back all four plates. 5. You have flag down help to order, to get additions, and even to pay. It has a new look and it was extremely clean but stay home and cook or pick a different restaurant because this ain't it. The food has always been great. The service has been exquisite. A big shout-out to Eduardo Duarte for always being a great server. Everytime we go we always get seated in his section and he's always been kind, very attentive, always been helpful as well. I called to make an order they kept me on hold 23 minutes. I decided to drive there and I waited in front of the counter 12 minutes , the hostess saw me and didn't say anything so I walked to the waitress I told her I needed to order and she told the hostess to take my order the same hostess that was looking at me waiting. I ordered 1 fajita duo and 3 nachos supreme with chicken and 2 large chicken tortilla soups. The tortilla chips were really hard and they forgot the cheese on all 3 nachos.
