So being it was a chain restaurant Sunday brunch I was a little skeptical but found El Toritos Sunday brunch amazing. I went because we had $5 off coupons from the The Entertainment Coupon Book. There was a lot more food than just breakfast and that surprised me. The make your own omelet bar was very good and I loved the green pozole. The selection of desserts was also very good. It is normally $16.99 with bottomless champagne included so I would say it is worth it to go. I would recommended getting there early, it got pretty busy around 11:30. read more

Worst SERVICE EVER!!! We had reservations for a group of 8. We arrived 5mins before our reservation and had to wait another 25mins to get seated (why did we even make reservations)? Our waiter took our drinks, didn't come back for 10mins, forgot 1 drink, 5mins later brought the wrong drink out. In the mean time some how our waiter disappeared completely. We got served 12 rounds of chips and salsa (everyone was a couple)....we were full from the chips/salsa and our waiter was still nowhere to be found it was about 50mins now that we were seated without food (we all had our orders ready and waiting). Finally the manager came over and took our order. 3 of us got served first (15mins after we ordered), then 5mins later 4 of us got our food and another 5mins later the last person got her food. Noting special was ordered just items off the menu. It took so long for everyone to get there food (don't know why they made it in different batches) but our food got cold by the time the last persons meal came. Frustrated with the service, the manager realized how bad we were served and offered free dessert...which was great...however giving a group of 8 people that had really bad service 2 small scoops of fried ice cream was not a fair amount of sorry for the bad service....it should have been 4 scoops....1scoop for each couple. Food and ice cream was ok but ultimately the service was the worst thing ever....I would give it 0 stars if I could. Never coming back to this place again. read more

This place used to be good. But not anymore. They keep changing their menu and the new items are not good. Last time I went here with my family everyone was disappointed with their food. I was smart enough to order chicken wings, which you can't really mess up. Maybe I'll come back for taco tuesday at the cantina some time or for drinks with the free chips and salsa. This place continues to get horrible reviews and every time there's a negative review, TRINA their "Social Media Marketing" troll leaves a lame comment thanking those who leave the Yelp comment. Usually enjoy coming to this El Torito. However we decided to go there today (Sunday May 25th) for lunch. When we walked in the hostess said "we still have our brunch buffet going it's really great". So we sat down and preceded to the buffet. Mediocre at best.... then the BIG shocker when we got the bill... $26.99 EACH! They might want to tell you that beforehand. Always a great experience here! The staff is really friendly, the chips always fresh and taco Tuesday is the best, honestly where else can you get fresh handmade tortillas for so cheap. Wonderful Place!!! GREAT food and staff and atmosphere (so beautiful and light)! The buffets especially on weekends have a wide variety of incredible food and at amazingly low price! The manager Andrea is a very special person who we have followed from other restaurants over the years (this one is the very best!). This restaurant gets our highest recommendation, we only wish they had jalapeños from a jar, not just fresh ones. Love this place!!! Wow. What happened to El Torito? We used to come here all the time and enjoyed it. Now it's a different story. The food has gone downhill. The service has gone downhill. We made the mistake of giving El Torito another chance on Cinco de Mayo. Boy was that a mistake. The service was slow and bad. The food was not hot and the quality and taste was mediocre at best. And, during the poor experience, the manager never once came by to see how we were doing. On the way out I expressed my disappointment to several employees who did not seem to care at all. El Torito really dropped the ball. Sad to see a restaurant tank like that. read more

Standard El Torito. We had to wait a while to be seated..so long that we just sat down ourselves on the crumb-ridden booth at the bar. Luckily, that was as bad as it went. The chips and salsa are always a given and they were yummy. Joe and I just decided on buffalo wings with the sauce on the side (thanks, hun!), and grilled steak quesadilla. Joe ordered a Jack and Coke but was disgusted by how watered down it apparently was. I stuck by my standard water, but I did have a sip of his Jack and Coke. My intolerance of alcohol told my tastebuds that it was certainly NOT watered down but that might be because I don't drink alcohol and cannot tell. Anyway, the buffalo wings with the sauce on the side was VERY tasty! The wings' skin was crunchy and having the sauce on the side made it taste even better to dip. It wasn't as messy, which was another plus. The grilled steak quesadilla was sliced into relatively big pieces so that was great! The steak was cooked well and the dish came with guac and pico de gallo. That was all our stomachs could handle since we snacked on the chips and salsa. I enjoyed it, ESPECIALLY with the HH prices. Woo! The only downside were the extremely loud parties going on behind us, in front of us, on the sides of us...yeah. Oh well, that's the price you pay for HH. read more

Went there with a group of co-workers and the service was horrible. They were under staffed. On a saturday night in the restaurant business yoy should have more then two waiters. When ever any of us tried to order the waiter told us to hold on left and forgot about us twice. And then when he finally remembered to take our order and this is after we flagged him down again the order was wrong. I asked him for water three different times before he actually brought it.
