Finally made it to breakfast here. Of course the staff is always so welcoming and enjoyable. We love chatting with then. The chilaquiles is sooo good. The breakfast burrito has bacon and chorizo. I used the Verde sauce was perfect for the burrito. I had to try the Biscuits and Gravy as well. Standard biscuit and gravy. Very good if that is what you are looking for. read more

Solid Mexican food. Some hits and misses. I enjoyed my meal very much. I got a combo with tamale chimichangas and enchiladas. I had read a review praising the ground beef. It definitely is the star here. I mean this in the nicest way possible. It's like if Taco Bell beef was actually meat and didn't try to assault your gastrointestinal system. Next time I get it on all my things. The wife was less impressed. The chili relleno had batter that was way too heavy and just not very pleasant. She ordered a bean sope being a vegetarian and it was a chicken sope. Yummy chips salsa and pico. Good value too. I would come back. Not sure about the wife. read more

I've been to this restaurant a few times and unfortunately the last two times I went I got Laura as a server. She is a round medium height lady with very short black hair probably in her early 50's. She is the WORST waiter I've ever had. The first time I had her we sat outside and ordered our food I had to go into the restaurant three times to get the things I ordered because she never came back to check on us or bring us anything. Every time I had to go in to get the food she was supposed to serve us she was a complete bitch about it as if it's not her job. We waited for the bill for 20 minutes and I ended up going in and asking for the bill and she got an attitude and said we had to pay inside. Which was an obvious lie because the two other tables outside were able to pay at the table. I paid with cash and she gave me pesos instead of American quarters and was pissed that I said something. My sister and I went again to have drinks and we were stuck with her again. This time she told us to go sit outside and she would come take our drink orders she came out and said "what do you want to drink" with an attitude. I asked for a drink menu and she said "OH MY GOD!" And talked shit about us under her breath in Spanish (not knowing we could understand her) slammed her hand on her leg rolled her eyes and walked inside and slammed the door behind her. When she came back with the drink menu she said "I remember you no tip" to which I replied "I remember you bad service" we went in to find her manager to make a complaint but he was no longer there. So we spoke with another staff member working the bar and he was so kind and understanding and it sounds like they get a lot of complaints about Laura. I was supposed to go talk to the owner but decided to write a review instead. Laura needs to find a job that's NOT in the service industry. She obviously holds grudges against customers and doesn't know how to be attentive enough to get a tip. Waitresses in Oregon make at least minimum wage and don't depend on tips so I tip based off service not obligation. read more

I know what you're thinking: "A Mexican place in Amity, of all cities? Must be like a Taco Bell or something." You'd be wrong. This place is honestly just really good. We've eaten here numerous times and we usually just end up getting the same things we always do because it's so good. The ground beef here is like nothing we've really had. You might think ground beef is ground beef, but here they put some sort of seasoning or sauce or something on it, because it almost tastes like a chili instead of a ground beef. It's very flavorful and when you order the enchiladas with ground beef, it's extremely tasty. My favorite thing here is probably the carnitas. I've had them just by itself on a carnitas plate, and in the Del Toro burrito, and it's good every time. It's extremely tender and flavorful, it's one of my favorite carnitas around here. Plus the service here is always very good and the workers are very polite and friendly. I work just up the street from this place, so believe me, it's a struggle for me to not just get something here to takeout after work every day! read more

El Toro Loco is a thriving, long time community gathering place and welcoming AF! Staff is very hard-working, very friendly and the kitchen is efficient. The vibe is big and comfy - high ceilings, spacious seating and cozy booths. Great option for big groups, but it's not loud or bustling if you are just 2 people out for a quiet meal. The bar is generous, the food and bar prices are reasonable by current standards. The food? Well, the good stuff is very good - so my suggestion is to stick to the basics, which they do very well! Don't order the seafood or shrimp options - hard pass. Fish tacos are just okay. Vegetarian options are limited. Since that leaves me, personally, with no good choices (and I measure mexican restaurants by their fish/shrimp tacos), I'm giving three stars for food plus a star for becoming a beloved destination in Amity and definitely worth a try if you are a carnivore who loves good MX food. read more

My buddy and I visited this restaurant on a Friday evening in this tiny town with absolutely no traffic, and the place was packed. "Good sign", I thought. We were greeted and seated immediately, and the exceptional service didn't stop there. The wait staff were smiling and friendly, and man did they hustle- very attentive. I had the carne asada & camarones dish with the spicy diabla sauce and savored every bite. Before you settle in you have Hand Fried Tortillas Chips and Salsa Mild or Hot . We gave came in as a family or just the Mrs. Or Mom as most call her and myself do a little date night 500 ft. Up the street. We have ordered and Totally enjoyed 85% of the menu. It's Hard to find anything Bad on The Menu the Appetizer's are Great The Wings are Fantastic you like Hot Sauce try have it Ranch to Veggies come with it. Hamburgers are Very Good, Taco Salad is Very Good, Their Street Tacos are Awesome I Highly recommend them. Combination Lunches or Dinners are All Great Enchiladas Tamales and such you can't go wrong meat wise Shredded Beef, Ground Beef, Chicken, Cheese, Carnitas. ALL of The BURRITOS are Awesome again ALL MEATS AS ABOVE. One of our Favs is Camarones Ala Creama It's Shrimp cooked in a Lucious Cheese Sauce with Onions and Mushrooms also comes with Rice & Beans. We originally planned to eat at a different spot in between vineyard visits but it was closed. This place was nearby and open so we popped in to try it out. What a great surprise! I love good salsa. I view it almost as a condiment. I was surprised at first by the small cup but when I tasted the kick it gave I understood why! Yum! I loved the spicy salsa and chips. I then ordered a chicken burrito. It felt clean and tasty. My husband ordered the ground beef chimichanga which was also very tasty. So our impromptu stop here was a great find. Yum! read more

Sitting in the bar the service is slow and evidently you can have kids on the bar side which defeats the purpose of sitting in the bar to avoid crying babies .
