He said that the flavor of their chorizo is way better than what you'll find at the food media lauded (and to me, overrated) Villa Tacos in Highland Park and Grand Central Market. Ask Armando to make you a chorizo and egg burrito "Armando's Way" and you will taste one of Los Angeles' best burritos for $10. The operators (the cook and the cashier) are still the same. I believe they are husband and wife. And they are wonderful folks. Kudos to their tenacity and resilience! Randomly stumbled upon this taco truck and I'm so glad I did. I ordered the bacon breakfast burrito and it was so flavorful and I think they toasted it on the flat top cause the tortilla was a little crispy. Definitely a nice touch! This place is great for a quick bite! I've always been very skeptical eating from a food trunk due to sanitary reasons. They have a hand washing station connected to their trunk. Third time here -- no stomach ache. Tacos ($1.50 each). I got carne asada which was well seasoned and not dry. It came dressed with diced onion and tomatoes. Light gauc sauce and their home made hot sauce on top. Be careful their hot sauce is actually spicy! Burrito ( $6.00). Loaded with meat (no rice and no beans). I've been going this cart for more than a few years and the food is absolutely amazing. The prices are reasonable and worth it, especially the tacos. When COVID-19 hit I was bummed out that they weren't there but, they found a away to come back and they have taken the precautions so you can get your food and still maintain the social distancing requirements. Some of the best tacos around and hidden from the downtown crowds. This is one of my favorite places to eat during my lunch break. I highly recommend the chicken tacos and the carne asada torta.
