I picked the horchata. It wasn't too cold so I asked for a cup of ice, also to dilute it a little so it's not too sweet. Even if the tacos weren't free, I would still come here for the convenience, the speed and the affordability of their quality fare. Not a fan of fries inside burritos for $10.99 plus tax. All their burritos come with a small side of rice and crispy tortilla chips. The breakfast burrito was very good. It was average size and came nicely filled with all the ingredients. I liked that they used a thicker variety of ham. The eggs were well scrambled and the beans were tasty. The burrito came on a good quality buttery flour tortilla. The side of rice was very good. The rice had a good loose texture and great flavor. The tortilla chips were crispy and lightly seasoned. I've walked by taco lounge countless times usually when grabbing coffee or taking a stroll in the neighborhood and today, curiosity finally got the best of me. I came by for lunch with my buddy. They've got $1.99 fish tacos every day the texture on those fish tacos was dog on crispy outside, tender inside. They are on the smaller side, but for the price and quality, it's a solid deal. I also tried the asada tacos, which were tasty as well, though again, smaller than I'd prefer. Still, flavor-wise, they held up. The horchata was a pleasant surprise not overly sweet, just the right balance. Service was simple and straightforward, and the ambiance is chill. Not too crowded or tight, just a good neighborhood taco spot. It's great having a place like this so close by. Best Taco spot in town! There is nothing on the menu that I didn't like. I use to go to the one on East Palomar as it was really close to my house. So disappointed that it's no longer there but at least we still have the one in Escaya. Their breakfast tortas are delicious! I love their chipotle sauce. Their menu consists of 'Tacos, Burritos, Quesadillas, Tortas, Fish tacos, Shrimp, Chilaquiles, Birria, Protein Bowls, and Aguas Frescas (latin non-alcoholic beverages)'. I visited during morning hours so I tried their 'Breakfast Burrito with Bacon'. The burrito is made with eggs, beans, cheese, and fries, served with a small side of yellow rice and chips (if you dine in). Although the beans in it tasted home made and yummy, the overall burrito lacked flavor imo. But that was immediately solved with hot sauce and salt. Not sure what happened to this spot but it is not what it used to be to be. Ordered a cali burrito and a bean and cheese burrito. Cali did not have no guacamole and only cheese at the bottom. It was skimpy which I don't care as long as it has everything and tastes good but it had neither. Top it off, Bean and cheese burrito did not have no cheese. I don't know if it was because I placed an hour a little over an hour before they closed or what but this food was subpar. The service was nice, everyone greeted but the food just wasn't it. It felt like they warmed everything up and the taco itself didn't touch the heat. My lime had so much lackluster that no juice came out. I think the slices are way too thin. The salsa wasn't even salsa it was like butter you had to smear it to get any kind of "salsa" on the taco. We will not be returning. I asked the cashier young female, and she didn't know what t say. I stated I needed to leave to pick up my kids. That I'd be back for the order . We had the beer batteries fish tacos, veggies, crema and a heap of avocado, no shortage here. Simply well prepared and the combo of flavor explosion in your mouth brings it all home. Adovada tacos well marinated and the veggies, onions, cilantro, and avocado heaped on. The taco bursting at the seam and packed full of meat. Again if your into having the best taco in town this is it !!! Pollo Asada , again we'll marinated , onions, cilantro, avocado , another home run ! I was so full I couldn't eat anymore. The beans mashed and fresh, creamy and well prepared, Spanish rice fluffy and tasty. Ok the secret is out, the owners original location opened in 2017 , this location has been here since April 22, there's plenty of free parking and this place is at the end of the retail row kinda hidden. The prices here are egregious for the amount of food you get, let alone the quality put into it. My boyfriend ordered a California burrito for almost $15 and it was small and not worth its price. The way it was made showed the lack of effort that was put into making it as well. It had small portions of meat and whatever fries they could gather. I ordered two carne asada tacos and they carelessly slapped the meat on the side with guacamole and onions not even on the taco itself and thrown into a to go container. They threw in some dried limes in the mush as well. The workers here were so nasty and we were unimpressed by their demeanor and attitude. Not a welcoming restaurant to go to. Ambiance is subpar.
