I was at vista farmers market today, so excited to finally try the crepes. The girl making the crepes is super sweet and doing the best she can. The young man tool working with her was useless. Instead of doing things to help prep the crepes waiting to be made or assembled, he was on his phone or talking to some friends who showed up behind the tent. I hope the tip I left. As well as all others go to her as he did not do anything but spell my name wrong. I hope the 1/2 hr wait will be worthwhile. I write this not to be critical of the small business but point out the useless tool and hope better service is on other weekends. read more

I love Elas (Stacy's Crepes). I'm not much of a sweet person so I absolutely love the savory crepes. I went to the Vista Farmers Market with my friend who is gluten intolerant. They offer gluten free crepes and we both were able to enjoy the delicious crepes. That time, we got the Farmers Delight a breakfast version but I have had the Florentine before. So Yummy. Love this place BUT today the guy packaging the crepes right in front of me was sweating profusely. His sweat was dripping all over the place, first from his head down to his chin, and then falling from his chin onto the plate, the napkins, and just missed my crepe. I think. I'm sure others weren't so lucky. It was the most disgusting thing I've ever seen at a food service place in my life. Docking one star for this. Their crepes are pretty good. I got the strawberry Nutella crepe which was very yummy. I am taking away a star because they did not have to go boxes or anything else which you could take their crepes in, all they had were plates apparently. I wanted to take it to my desk but ate right next to their stall because there was no to-go material. Hope they can start having some arrangements for that. Apart from that, everything is great, the crepes are amazing, the staff was very sweet. I was excited to see this place at the farmer's market. I was in the mood for a savory crepe so I ordered a buckwheat crepe with smoked salmon, egg, brie, spinach, avocado, tomato, carmelized onions, mushrooms, garlic sauce ... pretty much the works! I picked up my order and walked to the picnic spot at the end of the market. Having not eaten all morning, I was starved by the time I sat down. As I was eating a very delicious crepe, I realized it was missing a lot of things. I opened it to only see egg, cheese, potato, garlic sauce, and tomato. I was disappointed that my order was possibly mixed up but I already ate so much that I figured that I would just tell the people at the booth after my family finished their food. When I brought what was left to the booth attendant, I explained that I just wanted to be reimbursed for the difference in price (the salmon crepe was $12 while the one I was given was maybe $5 or $6). The lady stepped up and started arguing with me!!! "I put avocado in there!" Well... I certainly didn't see any green in my crepe, let alone the 6 other things that I paid for... I was shocked that she said such a thing! If I'm going to take precious time out of my day to point out their mistake, I would simply like an apology and to be made whole. Instead I felt like I had to defend myself! Bottom line: I'm not eating here again. They have very yummy food and I enjoyed my mistake of a crepe and otherwise would have returned. However my experience was marred irreparably by their lack of customer service. Learn the phrase "the customer is always right" and perhaps this business will survive. read more

First of all, I'm not a big fan of child labor. The boy who took orders and payments was too young for this kind of work, and I doubt he was getting paid at all. Secondly, it took 45 MINUTES to get my crepe. Had they told me it was going to be this long I would never ordered it. The crepe I got was pretty bad - mostly the taste of raw spinach with no dressing of flavor. I noticed that they starting telling people that it would be 20-25 minutes to get their order but in reality it was twice that. Definitely NOT worth the wait! read more

This was a vendor that I encountered at the Bernardo Winery farmers market. I love crepes and don't get to have them often. I was having a tough time deciding between a sweet or savory crepe. I decided to get both and that was the best decision I've made in a long time. The savory crepe was "eggs au gratin", which was two eggs, brie cheese, and garlic sauce in a buckwheat crepe. It was delicious! The sweet crepe was bananas, vanilla custard, powdered sugar, and honey substituted for Nutella. This was the best dessert that I've had in a long time! While my crepes were being made I got to speak to the owners a little bit. The told me they took over the crepe business from the previous owners that were at the farmers market. They were the nicest people and I really enjoyed talking to them. This was one of the best meals I had on my trip to San Diego and I got to eat it in the beautiful setting of the winery. Stacy's Crepes gets TEN stars -- five stars for working with the owner, Alex, as a vendor and five stars for their DELICIOUS crepes! I was tasked with finding food trucks for an event with my son's elementary school. Our school had done pizza, hot dogs, tacos, and other typical food truck fare, I wanted to do something different. And after reading the Stacy's Crepes' Yelp reviews, I knew I had to contact them about coming. The owner, Alex, was great to work with. Very responsive to my initial (and subsequent) messages/phone calls and willing to work at our two-hour event that historically didn't have a huge attendance (even though we knew this year would be different and have a larger attendance). The day of the event, Alex and his staff (I'm guessing his family) showed up on time, set up prior to event starting and were ready to serve food when the event started. They broke down their work space and cleaned up everything nicely! Now the crepes!! Stacy's Crepes has a menu of 29 crepes of sweet and savory crepes and different prices ranges, suitable for all palates and pockets. I didn't get to try them all but I will admit I had more than my fair share of crepes the night of our event and they were delicious!! My favorite type of crepe, cinnamon sugar with butter, was so yummy -- I had two that night! We also tried the kids ham and cheese and my son's favorite, bacon and egg which I thought were great! I received feedback from attendees who agreed the crepes were delicious! Many people, including the teacher in charge of the event, hope they will be back for future school events. I first found Stacy's Crepes at a little business park farmers market in RB at the Sony building on Thursdays and followed them to the RB Winery Farmers Market on Fridays. I just cant seem to get enough! Sweet, savory, vegan, gluten free the options are endless!! I have now tried many but always have to get the Lemon Squeeze!! These are the best crêpes I've ever tried!!! Made from all fresh (and even organic) ingredients right in front of you! They also have a lot of vegan choices, breakfast, lunch and dessert types of crêpes. I think they have around 30 menu options and all look amazing. My kids loved the "kids turkey and cheese" crêpes and of course they wanted to try "banana Nutella" which were delicious and topped their cravings. I had the new Pearisian Dream with pears and caramel which exceeded my expectations, not too sweet and pears gave it nice crunch and was perfectly paired with caramel.
