I've always seen this place while driving by, so I finally decided to stop in and give it a try. I came in the morning before class and ordered the Golden Scramble with a blueberry bagel and ham as the protein. Everything was really tasty, and I appreciated that it was served nice and hot. I also got a cream cheese bagel for my mom, and they were very generous with the cream cheese! My mom liked it, although there was so much cream cheese that she couldn't finish the rest of the bagel. The shop has a nice, simple setup with a display of different bagel flavors, an area for smoothies and juices, a soda machine, condiments, and a water station. There are a few tables inside and additional seating outside. Parking is easy to find, with plenty of free parking available. The staff was friendly and the service was good. Our order took about 10 minutes, which wasn't bad at all. Definitely planning to come back and try some of the other menu items. Been coming here since they opened too many years to count now and haven't written a review. But today promoted me to do so. I'll start off by saying the bagels are top notch. There is always a line and rightfully so, everyone wants these delicious bagels! But I have to talk about what I witnessed today while I was standing in line. There was a couple that picked up their order and opened the bagel wrappings. They noticed their bagel sandwiches were wrong and inspected their bagels, lifting the bagel and touching the inside ingredients. Then the gentleman behind the counter says, "Excuse me sir! I gave you the wrong bagels." The couple then hands the pawed through bagels back to the guy. The food maker then straightens out the bagels and gives them a fresh wrap. Then proceeded to bag them up for the correct customer. That violates so many food handling codes. Ick. They should've thrown those out and made fresh ones. read more

I think this place is definitely a local gem. I went here after a run at 10AM and it was absolutely packed. I ordered a Golden Scramble (added Ham for 1.99) and my friend ordered one bagel with cream cheese. Both were delicious, no doubt. The service was a bit rough though. I know the place was packed, and so I'll try to give them the benefit of the doubt. But it took me about 30 minutes to get my Golden Scramble. And by the time I got it, my friend had already dusted his bagel. So I would have to give it another try to update my review. That being said, the atmosphere is casual and feels like a local spot. There's a fair amount of seating, but if you're coming at prime time. Expect to stand or maybe buy a drink at Starbucks to hang out there. THAT BEING SAID. I was an absolute fan of their colored traditional bagel. It tasted just like normal, but it totally brought me back to the 2016 era of rainbow bagels. I came here thinking it was affiliated with the golden bagel in El Cajon. I was clearly mistaken because the quality of service was nothing like that spot. Firstly, they never gave me a receipt or an order number, so the entire time I had to be extra vigilant and wonder if my order was ready and getting cold. They also told me they had ice coffee and sold me it, when they actually have hot coffee (not room temperature) and an ice machine- making ice coffee practically impossible to make and on the customer. When I finally got my order they messed it up. Instead of remaking it, they just handed me the missing ingredient for me to fix myself. To top it all off the food was mediocre at best. By far the worst bagel shop and worst bagel shop experience I've had. read more

Spinach bagel toasted- w/cream cheese on the side. That has been my go to order for over 20 years. I lived in PQ for over 10 years and this was a regular stop for me then. Introduced my girlfriend now wife to these bagels and she was hooked, particularly on the strawberry cream cheese. Now years later even living 30-40 minutes away I still stop in from time to time for my go to bagel breakfast. Store is small but you can enjoy your bagel on the patio out front. It does get pretty busy in the mornings especially before school when all the high school students hit this spot for breakfast. Delicious everything bagels for a reasonable price! Very chewy, a good softness, not quite the density I associate with a NY style bagel but very very satisfying and flavorful- the onion and rock salt are such a great combo- just enough and not too much. I had at least one crunch of the rock crystal salt in every bite which was perfect. Their coffee is pretty good without breaking the bank- Seattle's best- it's not Starbucks but I don't care because it's so reasonable and does the job when I need a quick pick me up. The prices for the bagel sandwiches are steep for my budget so I order a half dozen everything to go, and fix them my way, at home. But before I do, I always eat one in the car, straight with no toppings, because they are just that tasty! So so so much better than Einstein, Costco or any grocery store bagel. No comparison. We are frequent visitors because my kids just love the rainbow bagel! Now that they're older, this is still their go-to bagel. We usually are in and out because our normal order is just a few bagels thrown in a bag. The service is always wonderful. This visit, we ordered a few dozen bagels and a variety of cream cheese tubs as a treat for a local school during Staff Appreciation Week. The wonderful woman that helped me didn't make me feel rushed- although the line was literally going out the door! He said definitely the cheese bagel so I went ahead and got this one with the golden scramble and added bacon. This bagel was really delicious. The bacon had a good crisp to it. I have grown up coming here and have always had great service along with the food being good as well. Today we experienced the worst customer service. Lee who I will post a picture here, is rude. We were the only people in line and my daughter ordered a bagel, she realized it didn't have salmon on it. This is when Lee became rude and his demeanor changed. We had not finished our order nor did we pay yet. Changing what she wanted took a few seconds. So why was this such an issue? When I spoke to the manager all he could say was okay. We were in the area and stopped by Golden Bagel for breakfast, and wow, we were pleasantly surprised. The bagels are incredibly fresh. My favorite is the everything bagel, and we lucked out with a batch that had just come out of the oven. I love that both the top and bottom are perfectly seasoned. I understand they were busy, and we would have to wait, but after seeing everyone get their orders and still nothing, I went up to the employee working the register and asked if it was almost ready. She replied, "Oh, I didn't know what one of the bagels was." So, the order had never even been started after 30 minutes. Poor customer service! Cool little bagel shop but, not the best. We stopped by here for the first time, Saturday around 9 am. It was packed! We stood in line for 10 minutes ordered and waited another 20 for 2 Golden Scrambles. I am not so concerned about the wait because I'm sure it was peak time for bagel eating but they did seem a little unorganized behind the counter. Just a thought not a certainty. The customer service was good. They got the order right and ordering was pretty easy. We didn't get the bagels we wanted but they let us know they were in the oven and would be 10 more minutes. That was nice to let us know. The bagel sandwich wasn't that good. It was like a bagel sandwich from 7 eleven or McDonalds or whoever offers an egg/cheese bagel. It seems like they just microwaved the entire thing. The bacon was thin and tasteless like Mc Donald's, the eggs were a thick, formed chunk, barely any cheese and it tasted like sliced Kraft cheese and the bagel was soft and plain. I was not impressed.
