We stopped by on Sunday for pizza, we knew the place was good, and it proved to be consistent. We had the patio to ourselves, ordered garlic cheese sticks and a small pizza each. The cheese sticks had little blocks of Parmesan under the mozzarella, so yum! The pizzas were as good as we remembered, amazing crust and fresh toppings, we don't know how they do it! Don't expect too much in terms of ambiance, we always sit outside, but you'll be more than happy with the food! read more

I wanted to like this place purely based on the fact that it's close to where I live. They allow smoking inside so the interior is extremely smoky, and the inside seating area is a bit crowded. I had wings and my boyfriend ordered a slice of pizza; he said his pizza was passable, but in my opinion my wings were not that great. I visited this bar today and it was bittersweet. I went in to watch the masters and grab a bite to eat. Sweet.. The bar was open (a bonus when you're hungry) so I had my choice of seats. Every channel was showing the Master (big bonus)! The bartender whose name was Mary was prompt, kind and knowledgeable about the menu items. The place was squeaky clean and even have a patio, darts and pool room. My food was amazing, beer was cold, perfect. Bitter.. (The reason Im reviewing this place at all) It was unfortunate but I watched an older man (assumed mgr) just all out degrade an employee there today. I sat on the end of the bar closest to the patio which doubles as the service bar for the waitresses. There was a waitress, black kid (didn't get her name) , who was verbally assaulted by this guy! He yelled at her in front of me and other patrons so badly that when he walked away (briefly, he kept coming back to yell at her) she cried. I felt terrible for her. I don't know the situation or what went awry but I'm a business owner and I'd be nothing without my employees. He lacked a level of humanity, compassion, respect and of all professionalism. I would NEVER reprimand an employee in front of guests, EVER! He fired her according to Mary and a few of her guests left behind her because of how horribly this guy was behaving. There was a couple who she was taking care of attempting to collect her information if she needed a job and that's the purpose of my review. If anyone knows this young lady, has her contact info or if you read this by chance I'd like to offer you a position. And Im sorry this happened to you. No one deserves to be talked down to or publicly humiliated. I will never come back here. The Elbow Room is a good option to come enjoy a drink, watch the game, & eat some wings. The wings are big & filling. The only drawback was that they weren't made to order. They tasted like they'd been sitting in a pan under a lamp so they were dryer than I like. The lemon pepper & hot mix was delicious tho. The salad I ordered was crisp & filling. The service was rushed. The young lady told us she was the only server that day so we understood. She had to take care of patrons both inside & out but luckily for her it wasn't a busy day. I'm glad the weather has broken & we can sit on the patio because this establishment allows smoking on the inside. I'm allergic to cigarette smoke & don't like to walk away smelling like an ashtray. Zero COVID precautions. Some of the staff weren't wearing masks properly... The manager/owner wasn't wearing a mask at all nor was the bartender while serving behind the bar. We picked a place at a safe distance from other people at the bar. Unfortunately, the bartender prepared the drinks directly in front of two other patrons not wearing masks (less than 2 feet) and left the drinks there for several minutes. No blame to the patrons... They can't drink and wear masks but we weren't comfortable with our drinks sitting directly under them while they talked. We decided to leave, we thanked and apologized to the bartender and explained that we just weren't comfortable with the food/drink safety. The bartender was courteous and understood. However, the manager/owner decided it was a good idea to confront us in the parking lot after we left the building, spouting off about how he doesn't have a mask policy because "the governor doesn't require them to". We tried to explain that it wasn't the mask policy... It was the lack of food/drink safety that made us uncomfortable. He tried to argue more, then my fiance gave him an earful and we left. Understanding that patrons don't wear masks while eating and drinking but staff should be wearing them at all times... And precautions should be taken with food and drinks. We came here on a whim when the original spot we wanted to dine at was at capacity. While it didn't compare in the level of fanciness, it pushed out some delicious food! The restaurant is somewhat divey, but offers its patrons a jukebox that can be controlled from your mobile device, as well as some of the best pizza and wings! There definitely aren't many places to go drinking in Buckhead anymore but this is worth a visit if you like the local bar/restaurant vibe. It seems like every other place like this in the neighborhood has been torn down in favor of condos and corporate restaurants. This place has an awesome menu, though. Their pizza rocks but it's the sausage bread that keeps me coming back. The Italian sausage they use is phenomenal and I'd say this is a must-try. The bar is usually inhabited by the middle-aged and up just off the golf course type on the weekend afternoons but gets younger at night. The bartenders are usually friendly enough. The bottom line is that if you're looking for a trendy bar, this isn't it but if you're looking for a place you can hang out with friends, get good food and drinks at a reasonable price, you should give it a shot. read more

This place seemed like it would hit the spot for a case of late night munchies! I can only comment on the food as I got take-out & didn't experience the atmosphere. After reading the menu & a few reviews, I couldn't decide on just 1, so I ordered the hot chicken wings ($8.95) & the prime rib melt ($9.95). The food was prepared quickly & was hot when I received it. Unfortunately, the food left a lot to be desired. Don't get me wrong, it was okay for what it is - late night bar food. But I probably wouldn't order any other time of day or anytime I want good food. The wings were cooked fine, but were flavorless & definitely not considered 'hot.' I didn't think I could go wrong ordering wings from a bar/pub. I should've ordered lemon pepper! When I ordered the prime rib, I had visions of Houston's prime rib sandwich dancing in my head. What I got was more like an Arby's roast beef sandwich meets a Hardee's bun. It was edible, but definitely not as good as I hoped it would be! Haven't tried the food but I hear it's very good. Parking is limited and if there is an event or holiday it's pretty hellacious to find a spot. Absolutely the BEST bar in ATL. I have been here multiple times and it never fails me. The food, The drinks (most important), and the service were phenomenal. I am always impressed whether I sit down at the bar or outside on the patio, I always receive the best service. Also it's one of the last smoking bars in the state of GA. I LOVE The Elbow Room. Sometimes I wish it were closer to where I live (Edgewood), but then me and my husband would weigh a bazillion pounds because we would be eating there on the regular. I've never had the pizza, but hear it is fantastic. I am totally stuck on their SANDWICHES! Phenom. I think they may use the same dough for the sub rolls that they do for the pizza? Whatever it is it is amazing and definitely homemade. We've tried the Chicken Parm, the Meatball and the Steak and Cheese. I can never finish the whole thing, but have to guard my leftovers with my life, once they hit our fridge. Lots of times I am wicked nice and just let my husband have them. We usually get tots as a side and they are always the perfect amount of done - nice and crispy. They have good fries and the onion rings look okay. As far as the vibe, it is a definite hole-in-the-wall, which is how I like my haunts. There's probably four or five booths and three or four high tables? There's a pool room and they have keno and a video bar game thingy. Lots of tvs and satellite or whatever so if there's some game you want to watch that isn't on Network or basic cable or whatever, they can usually put it on for you (even though they are YANKESS fans, they've put a NESN Red Sox game on for me more than once). The crowd is all over the place from younuns to olduns. And more than not, there's always a couple of REALLY drunk people having entertaining "conversations". Love the elbow room OH! Parking can be a disaster as there MIGHT be ten spaces back there? I've been going to the Elbow Room Bar for quite sometime for lunch. I never been there for dinner, during happy hour, or any other "bar appropriate" times. So this review will be for lunch only. Elbow Room Bar is tucked away between Buckhead Ave and Pharr Rd. You can see it much clearer on Pharr. It looks pretty divey compared to the other Buckhead establishments around the area. They have one thing going for them: they are cheap. You can get a decent lunch for about $8-9. They have an extensive menu providing typical bar foods from pizza, wings, strombolis and burgers. They are all decent and a good value. I like the stromboli lunch special where you can get a huge stromboli, a side salad, and a soft drink for like $8 or something. The stromboli is baked well and it has gooey mozzarella cheese, bell peppers, and pepperoni inside. Their side salad isn't too bad either. The staff is friendly and cool. The inside is small and cramped though. They do have a patio outside if you prefer to sit there. One thing I do not like about this place is that smoking is allowed since it's a bar. So for lunch you're sharing the space with smokers. read more

We found out about this place because of the Run for Brews meetup. It's a solid (albeit smokey) bar with a nice patio. As others have mentioned, the stromboli is awesomeeeeee. So yummy, good bread : meat ratio, perfectly cooked. My boyfriend and I also got Hail Mary's the first time we ate there, which are the bloody mary's with all the food in them. I think they're something like $14, but definitely worth it. You even get a little yummy piece of the aforementioned delicious stromboli. They have a good deal where you can get 5 beers and a large pizza for $20/$25 (you can pay more for "premium" beers and more toppings.) We got that the first time, but I'm not sure I'll ever not get the stromboli now. That being said, the beer selection is pretty average and not as cheap as I'd think based on the bar-y ness of the place. Let me reinforce that the place is super smoky. I don't smoke and don't really care for it, but once you're sitting in there for a while you kind of get use to it. read more

Well, it's a bar. How much can you expect? Me, I can expect more, and I do. It was rather quiet, on practically a weekend evening. Easy to get a place at the bar for 3 without it being too late. There is one ratty old pool table, coin operated, and a couple of dart boards. It was not too terribly loud, with general rock music playing the night I was there. The billboard outside advertised having all of the baseball. I didn't see much baseball, mostly skateboarding and keno. An older crowd, very casual. Also advertised was the most amazing pizza in Atl. I didn't try it, for reasons that will become obvious, but I strongly doubt it. Okay, so why am I so down on the place? Well, you know that smell a bathroom has that needs a deep cleaning. That was the smell at the bar. Perhaps it is too near the restrooms, I don't know. I am told the bathroom was very warm, which may contribute to the lingering smell. And while I am at it, the drinks that we had were way too costly. With so few choices for a bottle of beer, they should be able to buy in a bit of bulk and not have to charge more than $5. And you could actually keep in stock the few you claim to have. At least there seemed to be a good selection of other drinks. So overall, my experience was tainted by a sensitive nose. Which is too bad, because otherwise I could get behind a quieter bar in which one can hold a conversation. But then again, I am allergic to the word dive-a-licious, so if you have ever felt that way, then ignore everything I say. (I made a rhyme.) read more

We had a great time here. Went for a couple of drinks. The server was super nice and effecient. Our order was taken quickly and the drinks arrived shortly after. She always made sure we were OK. Love the small "dive" bar that is The Elbow Room. My experience was small, both in length and diversity, but what it was happened to be good. The previous reviews (for the most part) were spot on. The tots were excellent, perfectly crispy on the outside and not over done in the middle. That and my beers made for a great evening snack. I was 40 minutes late for the $.50 slices of pizza, but I am going to make sure I go back soon to check it out. Very laid back bar. Them mojotos had me lit. Very chill and all types of people was there very diverse.

The customer service was excellent the staff is friendly and the food came fast. Inside was too Smokey for me so we set outside. On the other hand the food is terrible I got the mushroom Swiss burger with a turkey patty. The patty was ridiculously oversized not sure why and they used canned mushrooms which downgrades any quality meal. The handcut fries were average at best.
