I am originally from the north and one thing I have noticed since I moved to Midtown Atlanta there are far fewer dive- pizza -wing- pool joints. There are dive bars. There are pizza joints.There are dive pool bars with wings. But very few venues that have all of the above. Finally found a place. I went on a Saturday night. First thing, I was not thrilled with the parking. I should say at least there is parking in the rear of bar. However, driving my large SUV up the hill into a cramped parking area is a challange. Once in, however, I liked the divey vibe...reminded me of familar bar where I grew up. Food was pretty good for bar food. Great stromboli and wings. Saw the pizza coming out, I would pass on that for stromboli or calzone. Potatoe skins just okay. Very laid back bar. Them mojotos had me lit. Very chill and all types of people was there very diverse.

It's a bar, what all would you like to know? lol They have bar food which is pretty good I might say. Their fried mushrooms were the bomb! Wings could use some work. Staff.....well.... you have some great one's and some that don't really want to be there? They're bar waitress' - they need to make sure they can hold their own. Only been a few times and it can get crowded but their patio's outside are awesome. Plenty of room to a table and you don't get forgotten about. Drinks - good. Nothing super amazing. I've been here a couple times, and the first time I thought I had a real find. The food was excellent and the beer icy cold. However, the third time I went, the same chicken sandwhich I had ordered previously was AWFUL. Seriously, a 5* to 2* decline, AND I had been bragging about how good it was to my brother, who accompanied me for the awful performance. That said, the pizza is good, and the beer is hit or miss. They give you frosty cold mugs which is a nice plus. However, one time the blue moon literally tasted like somebody had poured a bag of sugar in the keg. This is a little dive bar that you could check out and I wouldnt be mad at you for doing so after this review. The food is hit or miss but if it's a hit, they knock it out of the park. The closest Atlanta can get to N.Y. style pizza bar none. And I dare you to tell me otherwise. The pizza at this small tucked away smoke filled bar has left me jonsen after moving across town as I recently rediscovered the joy of wasting a sunday afternoon away in a football blinder. I ordered my usual 2 slices and pint of harp as the bartender was very attentive even on a busy sunday taking the time to remember and call everyone by name making you feel welcome even as I was being stuffed into the corner end of the bar fighting for my own sense of "elbow room". My heaven on a slice promptly arrived and to my delight nothing had changed in the recipe at all. From the crust sauce and toppings this is the REAL N.Y. street corner style right down here in Atlanta. Many here have searched far and wide from ITP to OTP for this pizza and its here at Elbow Room!! There is a thick cig smoke hanging but I believe that only adds the ambiance, if you can't handle that oh well more bar stools for me. The patrons here are a big mix too, no buckhead snootyness at all!! The barkeeps are easy on the eyes and the pint glasses are always filled. read more

This was a nice - small bar with a local feel. It has good energy and nice people. The one negative (for me) is the smoking...yuck. My date had chicken wings and I had pizza...both were above average. I ordered sweet tea and it came out of a bottle! Watched the Cavs get swept other day and this place was jumping, can't lie the pizza was ehhh but the wings were all that! Got an order to go for later, tater tots were crispy and delicious and our server was good, didn't lose her and she wasn't a pest all in all great place to dine! read more

We discovered Elbow Room completely by mistake and it was such a pleasant surprise. We had intended to go to a different restaurant but when we arrived we found that the kitchen had already closed. The bartender told us that if we walked across the parking lot and through a gap in the fence that we would find place that was still serving food. We followed his advice he found ourselves in a place with genuine dive bar feel, great service, and excellent food. Our waitress was welcoming and attentive. The grub came out quick and everything was good. We had a great time! This place is a gem. read more

This place is awesome!! My boyfriend and I were looking for a Cowboys fan bar and this popped up on the list. It seems as though our research was mistaken however the place was a hit anyway. The staff is very attentive and the owner Joe is fully engaged. He took time to chat with the customers and even gave my boyfriend a complimentary brew. Very nice establishment! Ordered a meal to-go to avoid too many people, while still supporting local businesses. Once I got there, I was disappointed by how many safety regulations were being ignored. Nearly no customers wearing masks, waitresses had theirs on and off multiple times, and everyone was crowded in the main dining room even though an extra room with tables was blocked off that could have afforded more space. They very well could have been within regulation, but it definitely looked like more than 25 people with next to no spacing required. Then they forgot me/lost my order for 10+ minutes because it had just been sitting at a random spot on the bar. However, the food was still as amazing as it's always been and the wait staff was still nice, I just wish they were more organized for to-go orders to minimize contact between them and the main dining room, while ensuring ready orders are paid for and closed. Food and kindness was 5 stars, but organization and health/safety immediately put this at a 1. Like I've said, I'm just disappointed more than anything. I don't expect you to throw away money, but this is why a second wave is very possible. read more

Smoky bar that sometimes gets noisy. Atmosphere mostly friendly, bartenders get to know your name and your drinks pretty quickly. Parking in the small lot usually hard to come by unless you're there early. Parking garage next door. read more

After paying for valet at Fado and being told that the kitchen was closed (after valet guy said it would be open for awhile) my friend and I were suggested this place by a waiter working at Fado's. It's basically the only place in the area serving food after 11 (wth Buckhead) It's an older bar, kind of styled after a boxing gym. Inside the restaurant is smoked filled so I didn't want to eat inside. The only available table on the patio was dirty when we first sat down. Our waitress started bussing the table once we were seated for about 3 min. They're understaffed to say the least. She was really sweet and as on it as she could be. I ordered a turkey burger and fries. It wasn't the best burger I had but it got the job done. read more

Awesome place, best pizza in town. Good prices. May be a bit smokey but they have an awesome deck full of fresh air if the smoking bothers you. Very friendly staff will make you feel at home and remembers your name. Tried almost everything on the menu and haven't been disappointed yet. Only problem I found was parking. Lot is pretty small and it gets packed at night. Park at the library lot behind it or take a cab. I recommend the cab cause the drinks always flow here. read more

This is dive bar that is VERY customer oriented. The servers are TOP SHELF. It's a great little place on Pharr Road... close to a lot of hotels and very good eateries. My only dislike is the fact that Atlanta is still in the stone ages regarding smoking. People smoke at the bar and its annoying, But, if you like darts, pool and a healthy selection of your favorite beverage...this is definitely the place to go. Went on a Sunday night with a few friends. Great deal throughout the night on bucket of 5 bud lights (or budweisers) and a large 1 topping pizza (or wings) for $20. We ended up doing this twice during our extended evening. Restaurant was pretty smoky and relatively dark. Very different than the pictures posted online. Dark and smoky, but still good. Parking is tight in the back, but worked just fine. Good value for the money. read more

Fado's was crowded, so eventually reached Elbow Room. Wasn't really expecting much as it didn't look too grand from the outside. It was pretty crowded and yes, lot of smokers inside but then had a very good time. Only one waitress but she did an incredible job of providing reasonably good service. They got a pretty decent beer selection. Ordered hot wings which were pretty hot. Overall, a great place, would love to go again! read more

Elbow Room is my favorite dive bar in Buckhead. For how the place looks, the food isn't that bad. The bartender service is excellent and they are very personable and relatable. I love coming here. However, I have tried to take my friends and some complain about the indoor smoking and they think the food isn't that good. I guess it is all based around personal preference. read more

Came here by myself for some dinner and to watch the Olympics, and ended up staying all night! Fun, different sort of crowd in a dive-bar atmosphere. Everyone is very friendly, particularly the bartenders, who asked me to call them by their names, and did the same to me. Very reasonable prices and the food is good too (Cajun chicken sandwich- pretty good; onion rings- out of this world!). Very fun place to hang out if you're looking for somewhere casual to play pool and have a few drinks. They have a good selection of beers on tap also. Great place. Food is really good. I had a burger of some sort...I can't remember what it was called, but I know I devoured that bad boy. Average beer selection, though I'm not expecting a whole smorgasbord of beer from a sports bar. But I will say this...I was here for the final USA game on their run at cthe World Cup. This being a sports bar...it was packed to the brim with folks...I'm talkin standing room only...shoulder to shoulder with folks watching this soccer game. (Since when did soccer become so exciting? I don't know, but I digress) With all of these people packed in this place like sardines...the bartenders were quick, efficient, and just outright on point. I barely had to wait for a beer, they were handling the crowd like it was easy. On top of that, the food took no time at all, even though I know the kitchen was slammed like a B-ball from Blake Griffin. And it was also delicious.
