When finished, after working on it, they said no charge. I have used this detail shop three times now. I feel compelled to write this review because I honestly have never been so impressed with quality of work, cost and customer service! I am selling my car. I have not detailed my car for over a year! I have 2 small dogs and 2 messy children. It was shamefully dirty!! I explained to owner that it would need full interior, exterior and scratch repairs. I dropped it off on Friday at 9am. The owner called me at 430pm . ( 5pm was estimated time they would have it done) He was incredibly apologetic that it was not finished! He said it's much dirtier than last time very courteously! I agreed it's a mess, I'm so sorry! He said is 10pm ok? I said I'm sorry it's taking you so long but I don't need the car back until tomorrow around noon keep it overnight and call when it's complete. He text at 1030am on Saturday. I went to pick it up. My car has never looked this good! Looks better than when I bought it! I knew it would be expensive however when he told me the total I was dumbfounded! I said just for inside or outside right? What is total? He said no that's the total! I ended up giving him an extra 100$ and still walked out spending a few hundred less than I expected!! I've paid a lot of money for an auto detail in the past. But I have never had such an incredible job done for the money. Elegant Auto Detail was comparatively priced and the work was superior to any I've ever had done before. Did I think they would get the melted blue color crayon out of the front passenger seat? Not a chance. Did I think the "delux interior" package would result in making the interior of my grocery-getting mom-mobile look brand new. It had been about two years since I'd done more than a quick vacuum inside my minivan, a vehicle that is part "mom van" and part "I wish I had a pick up truck". So it was pretty awful, and I wasn't sure anything could really help the carpets. Incredibly, Fernando made it look almost brand new! Very poor communication from this company. Would not recommend. Multiple contacts with differing stories about hours of operation, completion of services, etc. When my husband and I arrived to pick up the vehicle, there were two other customers waiting, as well, who had also been given inaccurate information about when they could pick up their vehicle. One person was quite angry and left before the worker arrived to open the gate. We were very disappointed overall and would not use this service again. read more

I highly recommend Elegant Auto detailing. My call was immediately answered by Diego who was nice to talk to and obviously professional. Diego was able to arrange one of his detailers, Jeff, to come out to clean two cars the day after I called, much faster than I expected. We communicated by text which was convenient. Jeff showed up on time cleaned the cars in our driveway which is very narrow. Also both cars had dog hair and each car took a good amount of time, yet his attitude was so great about all the little challenges. Diego followed up the day after to check how it went. A cooler full of crab and ice leaked into the back of my Ford Focus during a heat wave. Needless to say, it made the interior of my car smell like pure death. I tried everything .... enzyme spray, vinegar, charcoal, and nothing seemed to even remotely mitigate it. Elegant came to the rescue and the smell is now 100% gone! As a bonus they got rid of the nasty smell from my HVAC system ( a result of me neglecting to remove debris from the air intake under the hood ) and removed 5 years of coffee stains from the front seats. Two days before the Christmas weekend, in addition to my inability to leave my home business during the weekdays, and I decide against all hope that I could get my van detailed. With a quick internet search I discover a service that comes to you, Elegant Auto Detailing. I called Diego in the early morning, and by mid-morning a well equipped van and crew showed up in my driveway. It was a typical Portland rainy day, but Diego said that as long as it wasn't windy he could send a van out. When the van arrived, the team put up a canopy and got right to work. Before departing, they showed me every part of the van, and even pointed out an area of tar they could not remove. I'm truly impressed with everything about Elegant Auto Detailing. My daughters car had gotten moldy from a leaky seal and not being driven while she was visiting us out of state. Her roommates sent a photo of the disgusting mess. I called and spoke with Diego who got us right in on his next available day. He got all of the mold out and did the works on the rest of the car and it looks like new. Because we were out of town, he took the car personally to his home so it could be dried in his shop. Then he picked my daughter up and took her to her car. That's the unbelievable service this company gives. I'm so grateful to Diego for his help and for getting her car back to a place where she can drive it and not get sick. I had a bad experience with Elegant Auto Detailing. My partner got me the Platinum Package full interior/exterior detail as a birthday gift. Unfortunately, midway through the wash, I asked them to stop. It started with them showing up one hour late. I did receive a call at the original scheduled start time with a heads up that they would be late, but no apology and no acknowledgement of a late arrival. It's very convenient that they do the detail at your home, but that doesn't mean the schedule is their's to set. I had to cancel some afternoon plans due to this. In any case, I brushed it off. Those things happen. Diego was not there, but two members of his team were. I noticed that they seemed rushed, even saying "We'll get this done quick." I replied, "no, no, please take your time. Let's get it done right." I was very polite, asked them if they needed any water, and told them where the bathroom was. As they were getting set up, I confirmed the package with one of them and walked him around the car. I mentioned the clay bar as part of the Platinum package, which I was particularly excited about. I noticed some hesitation in his response and he kind of just brushed it off. I thought to myself, "well, I'll let them get started with the wash and address it again later if I see that it isn't happening." They finished washing and prepped the wax and buffer. I asked the guy that I had spoken with earlier on if he was planning to clay bar as we had discussed. (Clay bar happens before the wax) He once again hesitated, and they both started searching through their van for the clay bar. I said, "you were not planning to clay bar the car if I hadn't asked you again, were you?" He said, "that's my bad. I forgot." At this point, I was pretty disappointed. It was very clear to me that they were not planning to clay bar the car despite that being the package my girlfriend had asked for. One of them got on the phone with Diego to ask where the clay bar was in the van. According to this young man, Diego told him that the clay bar was actually part of the wax, like a combo wax and clay bar solution. I have clay bar'd my cars in the past and am not familiar with any combo product out there in the market. I was lied to... I happened to have a clay bar in my garage and showed them both what it looked like. They both acknowledged that neither of them had ever clay bar'd a car before and it is Diego that usually does it. If you've ever clay bar'd a car before, you'll know that it is a bit of an art. You do it when the area is wet, being careful to regularly fold the clay over for a fresh side as you make your way around the car. If you don't do it right, you can easily scratch the clear coat. I was not comfortable with someone doing it on my car for their first time. It was pretty clear to me that, had I not questioned them, I would have paid for a service I did not receive. I decided it was best to have them stop. Despite being quite frustrated, I calmly and politely asked them to stop, and let them know that I would contact Diego to handle things. They packed up their equipment, and left. I promptly called Diego and left a voicemail. I also sent a text message, requesting a call back. This was about 1pm. I am writing this review the evening of the same day and have yet to receive a response from Diego. If I were in his shoes and had a client that turned away service due to a bad experience, you better believe I would get in contact with that customer immediately to find out what happened. That lack of response, and my entire experience leading up to it, including being lied to, tells me that Elegant Auto Detailing is a deceptive business that does not care about their customers or the work they do. A full auto detail is an expensive investment and you should expect a very clean car and a great customer experience. Please carefully consider spending your money with Elegant Auto Detailing. There are other detailing services in the Portland area with good reviews. I'll be taking my business elsewhere. read more

Diego did an incredible job cleaning up my car. Along with being a professional, he is honest, friendly and compassionate. My car had been stolen and found in horrible condition inside. I was a mess too when I called Elegant, in shock, unprepared, suspicious and very distressed. Diego took the time to listen and helped me feel comfortable about trusting him and worked with me making it easy to have my car towed there. Once it was there, it only got better. Diego went way out of his way. He could have charged me more or the work could have only been average. The charge was more than reasonable, the work was exceptionally fantastic. Along with a great job, I was able to let go of a lot of anxiety because I could see how genuine and sincere Diego was. I've had my car detailed a few times for less important reasons and the work wasn't as good, or the people as honest. I highly recommend Elegant because of the quality and peace of mind. I was excited to get a detail by Elegant after reading all of the positive posts, and had set it up online. When the big day came--Diego arrived almost 2 hours late from when I had scheduled it. By that time, they couldn't do the detail, since it takes 3 hours for the Platinum detail and I had to go to work before they would finish. Would have worked fine if they had arrived on time. Diego said he'd be happy to come Saturday (the next day). I said great, I'll check with my wife and confirm via email to make sure she would be home, since I had to work. I left an email confirming Saturday would work...and crickets was all I heard in response. Two emails by me later, still no reply back. I purchased a gift for an interior detailing for my daughter's birthday in December of 2015. She contacted Diego to make an appointment after her December 14th birthday. After a bit of back and forth he contacted me to set up a date, but because he comes to your house and does this work outside it was difficult to set a date due to the rain and snow/ice. When we finally set a date in January and he came to perform the detailing, he said that he couldnt do it that day because I had not arranged for the carpet to be cleaned (I didnt know that my daughter's vehicle had carpeting. I thought it was an all vinyl interior as it is a X Terra). So he said he would call to set another date after he checked the schedule. After alot of emails and calls, we finally set a date February 9th. He phoned to confirm and showed up on time. He did an outstanding job. He is a hard working, very personable and respectful young man. My daughter was so pleased and relieved that her vehicle was super clean. She is divorced and has two young kids so it was a mess. It was so good to be able to put a little order into her hectic life. The difficulty in setting up a date in the Portland winter was the only drawback. Diego did not charge me extra for the carpet cleaning, saying, "since it took so long to set a date lets call it even". read more
