I was a customer for 10 years and I used to get my nails done by Nina. However, after a recent visit a couple months ago, I will never be going back. I have had Nina say/do inappropriate things to me on more than one occasion. For example, the first time, I was sitting in the chair at her station waiting for my nails to dry and she leaned over and grabbed my lower stomach and laughed as if to say I'm fat. I was so uncomfortable but let it slide as I was almost done with my appointment. The next and last time, as I was walking out the door- after paying her $90+ for my appointment, she stopped me, ran her hand down the front of my dress, over my stomach and said "honey, you just need to flatten this out, then you will look perfect." I was so stunned at the sheer audacity of her comment. After being a loyal customer for over a decade that's the last thing I expected. Not sure if she thought just because I'd been a client for so long she could get away with it or what. I sent her a text the next day stating I will never be coming back and the fact that she could disrespect a client like that is inexcusable. She text me back a day later apologizing and asking for another chance but I'm never coming back. If I were to go back after that it would just send the message that what she did was forgivable and it's not. Not sure if she has done it to any other clients but please don't take that chance. Not to mention, that on multiple occasions when I would book an appointment and come in, I'd still end up waiting over 30 mins past my appointment time before I was seen. Take your money elsewhere. I called elegant Nail Spa last minute to get a pedicure for myself and my husband , and they got us in easily. We arrived on time And they sat us right away at a massage chair and started service right away . I asked for the fairly basic pedicure, since I'm pretty good about taking care of my feet . My husband needed the more advanced treatment because he refused to listen to my good advice when I tell him how important it is to moisturize your feet daily ! He had the worst calluses and the nice lady that worked on his feet needed to really scrub a ton with a cheese grater looking skin to get rid of the dry hard skin on his heels. They did a good job for both me and my husband . Very happy with our service . Price is average and what is expected. I've been going here off and on for years. I recently had a polish change by the owner and she was using the electric polish remover and she accidentally touch my skin which caused bleeding. She tried to say I was at fault in which told me a lot about her character. I explained to her I'm a diabetic and cannot but cut or punctured. I also explained to her if I get infected and it leads to amputation, that I can sue her company. Think twice before you let her do your nails. I used to go to the salon on a regular basis, but the last two times, I've had absolutely the worst experience. One time my cuticles were completely over cut with a basic manicure therefore, when my nails grew out the following year, they kept having little cracks in them and breaking. It took a year to get over that. When I went back to give them another try( my regular manicurist at another salon was on vacation), . they ended up using the Nail filing electric tool on my natural nails which created ridges as they grew out. I guess it's better than having the cuticles filed, but I cannot recommend this place. Also more often than not my cuticles are cut and I leave there needing band aids on my fingers for a week ! As prices for manicures and pedicures continue to rise it's not acceptable for nail technicians to do serious damage to your nails, which takes almost a year to get over. read more

I almost left with clear polish just to get out of there. Very pushy and didn't listen to what I was asking. No no no !! Hell no, if you want to GET A PEDICURE AND CATCH an infection , have your requests to STOP due to pain completely ignored then here's the spot! First off made an appointment scheduled three days in advance for 4:00 PM did not get seated until 5 o'clock, they overbooked and completely forgot about my reservation, so what's the point of making an appointment if they can't keep it on time I got a pedi from Ming Tran, she literally pulled my hangnail to far and broke it! Had to go to the doctor to have the infection I caught right after taken care of after and they had to cut into my toe to remove the remaining nail she left behind.! Then charged me $60.00 ! Lol and got butt hurt I didn't tip!! Why would ..? They were an hour late to my app, killed my feet. I don't recommend going here at all. Thursday, 2/24/2022 - Went to "Elegant Nail & Spa" for the first time. I called them on 2/23/22 to make an appointment. But the lady who picked up the phone that an appointment wasn't necessary and I can just walk in. So, on 2/24/22, I arrived at 6pm. They close at 7pm. While waiting for 10 mins, 2 more girls came in after me. They were seated before me. One of the last nail person saw that, and immediately told the other lady in the back (in their language) that I was still in the front waiting. So they seated me. Upon arrival and why I have it a 2 star: Pros: 1) plenty of parking 2) located in the shopping plaza where Grocery Outlet and Dollar Tree is in. 3) business looked clean 4) once I sat down, I waited for a good 10 to 15 mins before I was services. They put warm hit water in the foot basin. They didn't get to me until my water was warm cooled and the lights in the foot area turned off. The 2 girls that came in after me, but were serviced first, left after waiting a while. 5) Holly is the tech that service my pedicure. She provided a laminated page showing what service they provide. I picked package 3, which consist packages 1 & 2 incorporated into it. I took a picture of it. Package 3 showed Mani is $23 & Pedi is $35. 6) Holly did great on my pedicure. She did all that was listed on the package 3 deal. 7) the man in this location did a very slopy job on my hands. He did my manicure. See my "Con" notes below. He was the only man working there. 8) I was charged $75 total. 9) love the massage chairs. Cons: 1) I felt like the man was totally rushing to get rid of me. 2) I kept feeling like he wasn't doing everything that was listed on the package deal for my hands, but I wasn't sure. 3) all the man did was my nails. They didn't tell me it was an additional $10 to get gel. I found out after. 4) the man in this location did a very sloppy job on my hands. He was the one that did my manicure. All he did was my nails. Nothing else! 5) he lotion my left hand really quickly and that was it. 6) when he was oiling my nails with cutical oil, he forgot my left thumb. I had to remind him. Conclusion: Holly was great. The man, on the other hand, was aweful (in my opinion). I still felt like I'm getting cheated. Like I didn't get everything that I paid for done. After I paid, I checked the photo I took of the package 3 deal I bought. And sure enough, the manicure came with exfoliation, 10 min hand massage, and wax to soften hands. The man didn't do any of that!!! All he did was my nails and my nails are even uneven painted!! I am VERY disappointed in this business. This is my experience. Maybe you had a better experience. But I sure didn't and don't recommend it. Or if you go, don't let the man do your package deal you buy. He halfa$$ on my manicure. I gave it a two star because Holly did great on my pedicure. read more

Spur of the moment trip to get a pedicure and overlay over my natural nails. The pedicure was perfect. I was talked into getting gel instead of nail polish because gel lasts longer. That was a $10 up sell but I wasn't bothered by that. Being a mom of two toddlers, I need whatever I can get that will last longer than 2 weeks. The other side of that was the manicure. I requested an overlay on my natural nails. I explained that I wanted to keep the length of my nails and I wanted the overlay to look natural. The nail tech brought out some pink powder and began working on my nails. I had to stop her and explain again that I wanted a natural overlay. Almond shaped. She went and got some white powder. I told her I've never seen an overlay done the way she was trying to do. I told her it looked more like French manicure than an overlay. She assured me it was an overlay so I let her proceed. I kept referring back to my original statement and she made me believe she understood what I said and that it would look as I requested when she was done. NOT the case. She cut my nails down significantly, not all the nails are almond shaped and they are varying lengths. That was really disappointing but what REALLY got me is when I went to pay for what I didn't even ask for, she said she was charging me for a full set ombré. SAY WHAT?! No ma'am. At first, I was thinking she just completely understood what I said. But after thinking about all the years I've gotten my nails done, despite there being a slight language barrier, all other technicians were able to understand and execute what I wanted. I truly believe this technician attempted to take advantage of me by manipulating the situation. I'm on the fence about if I return here again but that particular nail tech will not do my nails ever again. I gave this establishment 3 stars because my pedicure was so on point. If I only got my nails done, it would have definitely been ONE star. Advice: Make sure you explain what you want and if it's not going in the direction you think it's going, stop them and reiterate or find another nail tech. We're in a pandemic and everyone's finances have been affected to some degree. I will not spend my hard earned money on a service that was not to my liking, especially after multiple times of explaining what I wanted and it being anything but. This isn't to discourage anyone from patronizing this shop, it's only a heads up to say be careful that you are getting what you asked for. Don't settle for just anything. read more

Linda did my manicure; didn't get the name of the person who did my pedicure. Both were skilled technicians and very friendly. I asked if they used tub liners in the pedicure tubs. They do. But I should have asked if they sterilized their implements after every procedure. I did not see any evidence that they did: nothing coming out of a heated sterilizer or even a liquid sterilizer. I was not happy with that. This experience makes me think I may want to invest in purchasing my own implements to bring with me. I was double teamed for my mani pedi. I hate that! I look for a mani-pedi to be relaxing and this, though technically good, was not relaxing. Linda worked across my body on one side to do both hands while the pedicure was being done also. The chair had a wonderful massaging option which I tried to take advantage of during the mani-pedi, but I couldn't because I had to lift my back off the chair to bring my left hand to Linda to manicure. The ultra violet light was balancing on the right arm rest while I crossed my left hand over. However, in spite of these concerns and inconveniences, I will probably return. I like the end product and the friendliness of the staff was good enough to have me give it at least one more try. read more

But baby the MAN (sorry don't know his name) did an amazing job on my pink and whites they look and feel great and way better quality then when I would go to the shop before. The pedi was amazing , great massage ; hot stones , THE BAD: They gossip like crazy; upsell and just don't even tell you what they are charging you or anything. I am new the the area and this was my first nail salon that I've tried out. It has a 4 star and I was like sure, why not! The place looks very modern but the more you get into the shop, it looks a bit unsanitary. There was a bit of a wait even though I made an appt. I ended up getting the Signature Pedicure and it was $33. I did not think it was worth it. It was super fast and it didn't feel thorough to me at all. The guy who did my pedicure didn't really speak to me, even when asking to put my foot back in the water, he would just tap my foot until I put it in. The scrub that they use seems a bit cheap. I also wasn't given the option to see the color wheel of nails. I was just asked what color I wanted and the guy who did my pedicure chose the color closest to what I said (lilac/pastel purple) and I was just giving a dark lavender color.
