After looking for a place to get my nails done in the SouthPark/Carmel community, I remembered the nail salon by my neighborhood Harris Teeter and CVS. I read reviews and saw great work. I called to schedule an appointment for today, though they conveniently have online booking. They fit me in at my time and it was wonderful. They are ensuring Covid safety by taking your temperature upon arrival, operating with masks, and working behind plexiglass safety shields - even for pedicures. I my nails look awesome and the owner was so friendly and funny. My tech paid extra attention, even when I bumped a nail while it was drying and immediately corrected it. The salon is homey and comfortable. They are fast, efficient and do quality work.

I just had the worst pedicure experience. Done in 30 min. Gel manicure and paid extra for paraffin which was put on for maybe 2 minutes. This is not the 1st time I have had poor service here but it will be the last. read more

I would never ever recommend this place . As a first time customer I wasn't welcomed with open arms . I asked for a little fixture on my nails and she got frustrated with me and then took off all the polished and refused to do my nails after almost being done .... Im so tired of this type of nail place that accepts you as a customer and says they can serve you immediately and then makes you sit and wait for HOURS. My daughter and I got a mani/pedicure and they promised we would be served immediately. They did my nails and ignored my daughter. She took over an hour plus more than me. Just be honest and tell me you are busy. Stop lying. Also the tipping is disgusting. Venmo each person. I'll NEVER go to this salon again!!! It is a racket in more than one way read more

I've been going here for years and always receive a good pedicure. Everyone that works here is nice. I don't always make an appointment, but I did today due to COVID-19. There were only a few people there when I arrived. They took my temperature, required masks and kept everyone separated. I felt totally safe. My only comment is that the chairs are getting old and look pretty bad, they work ok, it's just an appearance thing. read more

I have been going here for a few years but lately, it has been a disappointment. This is the last straw. Got an mani-pedi yesterday and my heels are still cracked and rough. They cut my toe cuticle and I have pain and inflammation. I had to intervene, as the manicurist tried to roughly hand-file the gel polish off my nails rather than take the time to soak them. Then the polish was too thick and she had to redo them because they wouldn't dry. When you talk to them, they act like they don't understand, but I've been going there long enough to know they do. I could go back tonight and show them my heels and the toenail redness, but they don't care. I'll find a new place. D O N E. read more

Our visit was filled with occupied seats of repeat customers which was great to see and experience. With a full house during our visit, all the staff were surprisingly efficient and no customer seemed to be waiting for the next steps of their procedures. My wife and I are looking forward to becoming regulars ourselves. read more

First time coming here and the lady who did my pedicure was very nice and friendly. The place is small but cozy. They have two other locations, the one in Colony road and one in Dilworth on east blvd. I love my pedicure and will definitely come back and try the other locations too. read more

Just visited Elegant Nails today (Carmel/ Quail) for pedicure and manicure. It was a wonderful time to sit back and relax with all the amenities they offer beyond just the advertise products. Things like bottle water and chairs that massage your back while receiving service make it so comfortable. Also the overall atmosphere including tv's, quiet music, and just good old conversation make you feel at home. Very friendly staff willing to make sure you are pleased with the service. Dropped my 13 yo daughter to get her nails painted fir a wedding last week. While i went next door to buy dog food they upsold her on gel nails charging me $50.00. All she needed was a simple painting. 5 days later 3 fell off and most of the rest cracked and she had to remove them. Terrible read more

I am writing about Elegant Nails on Colony Rd. location. I have been going there since I moved to Charlotte in July.. I have been very pleased till the other night--Wednesday the 17th.. I walked in and no tables for the manicures to be done on-- Ok, So I sit in the pedicure chair - the nail tech girl-(someone I have never had before) was a mess- she drop so much of her equipment onto the floor- never cleaning afterwards- she filed my nails so short. Also some of the prep polish was put on one hand NOT the other, I had to ask if I could wash my hands before applying the color polish- she was a train wreck- the polish job was awful.. I know the situation was not the best BUT what got me was the price I was charged ... It's already been three days with a lot of gardening and dish washing, and my hands still look perfect. Usually several nails would be showing signs of wear by now. From the reception to the pedi chair, as well as its odd payment system, the entire experience felt uneasy, almost rough. I've been to more generic, cheaper nail salons that had more of a sophisticated system...with a nice, smooth experience from start to finish. The experience here wasn't quite so smooth. Like I said, it all felt kinda rocky. My mani/pedi service also started off awkward...given that I could barely understand the young girl (very soft voice with a super-thick accent). I guess I don't get why these upscaled salons and spas (including nail salons and spas) don't go with New Age, Ambient, Easy Listening type music. You are paying for location only. The white amenities do not foster the cost for other lack luster areas. Its expensive. Everything is all a cart. What you would normally get for $30 pedi will be $60+. Meaning, scrub, paraffin wax and/or callous treatment or anything else will be extra and is not included. The chairs are gorging but that's it. Don't get excited, no massaging chairs, no adjusting base. The basin where your feet go does not have jets. They do not line each chair with plastic for sanitation. Speaking of which the basins are haphazardly cleaned afterwards. Might I add that they're low with no way of getting out but to step in the basin with dirty shoes and possibly break your neck on the way out. I had two nail techs at the same time which is a pet peeve of mine. I was getting a gel mani and pedi. The tech on my toes was rough and careless. Tony was his name. He polished and left globs of nail polish in between the nail bed and skin. My finger tech was sweet. Taylor. Was her name. She was exceptional and focused. As for the techs on my friends. They were young girls that literally goss3snd cackled the whole time. I was completely amiss. For the price I'm paying and the location I expected so much more.

My then 92 year old uncle only wanted every other month appointments so I paid $620 for 2024. Unfortunately, my uncle died before using his 2024 appointments. Although Melissa asked me to give her two months for a refund, which I did, and she sent me a photo of the refund precessing a month ago - still no refund and only long, dramatic diatribes instead from her. This was my experience and I would not recommend this company and would not want other customers to fight for refunds and deal with all of this nonsense. I believe she just got back from a month long vacation which makes it worse. I hope this helps others who may be thinking of using her services.

This is a convenient nail salon and close to my house but I go here because they are REALLY good. It's well managed (Tony is awesome and friendly) and almost always there. The technicians are ALL good. Seriously, I don't have a favorite tech because I can count on any of them to provide an excellent service. I like gel polish and one thing that's important to me is the condition of my nails. They are careful and do not over buff or over-file. You don't have to skip gel for a month or two because your nails are weak. They've got this. Their cleanliness standards are excellent and they have the newest polish colors. I am reading the reviews for the Elegant Nails salon on Carmel rd and I feel lucky to have found this great location!! I always feel welcome. They know me by name and I know everyone by name. They always ask if I want a drink (i get a Diet Coke). They are more like friends to me. I've been coming there for years and when my husband died in December 2016 they went out of their way to make me feel pampered. It doesn't matter to me who does the pedicure and Gel manicure because they're all good. Even when every chair is filled, I know they'll get to me and I don't mind waiting. If you are worried about Covid safety, this is your place! Hannah has been doing my nails for years and I love her service, but I was worried about the social distancing aspect. When you come in, your temperature is taken, you sign a waiver and then you wash your hands. I was seated behind a tall plexiglass window, and Hannah was wearing a hair cap, glasses, mask as well as a plastic face shield. Safety first! We have been going here for a couple of months now. I have been during the week and on a Saturday. Hannah has done my nails each time and I have been extremely happy with the quality. The salon is clean and all the staff are very friendly. They don't rush and I have never felt that quality suffers no matter how many people are in the salon. My manicure and pedicure experience yesterday with Lan was truly a great experience. I had stopped by to schedule an appointment, but the salon was able to seat me right away. This was the beginning of my happy visit! Lan transformed my nails into beauties, while making me very comfortable and relaxed, including refreshing bottled water and the gentle hand massage. Danika always does an amazing job and my dip nails last much longer than anywhere else I've ever gone. I'm very rough on my hands and nails because I'm a jeweler so they are exposed to hand tools and constant hand washing and I never have any issues with lifting. Plus she gets perfectly right up to the cuticle - so I can go three weeks if needed! And you get a little shoulder massage that is heaven. Highly recommend! read more

I had recently moved to a new area and this was the closest nail salon to me so I decided to try it out. Little did I know it was going to be perfect! All the employees were so nice and friendly.
