I have been a regular of this nail salon since I moved to the area 8 yrs ago. I have a standing appointment. In my opinion, it's an average sized clean, well maintained salon with exceptional people doing the work. What you will find: is quality product, professional, skilled & friendly nail stylists. For those other reviews: Yes, they speak Vietnamese to one another. But that's because it's their first language. They aren't talking about you. They aren't those catty women you hear about. This isn't that type of establishment. They speak English very well and if you converse with them.... They have intelligent things to say back! (Shocking right?! ... Get a life people!) Want to know why?! They are the same. Respectable women and mothers who have depth beyond nails. So chat it up with them, make a friend, treat them with respect, they are people too. Good, amazing, funny people who I look forward to seeing every 2 weeks. The added bonus is that the clientele is the same. Amazing women!! (And the very courageous man, here and there) I get a gel mani, a hot stone pedi & an eyebrow wax every 2 weeks with Jessie like clockwork. Their pedis are amazing. They have a menu where you can choose your sugar scrub or upgrade your service. I used to do the basic spa pedi (spa pedi: nail care, dead skin removal, sugar scrub, massage & color), then I tried the hot oil, then I took a chance and tried the hot stone (it helps my chronic pain). Let me just forewarn you, once you plunge into the abyss of what is called the hot stone pedicure, you will never come back. It's addictive and costly so find a way to work it in your budget. It's the highest priced pedi you can get (from what I recall) and there is reason.... It is paradise. Hot stone will not only relax you, take away your pain, but it will take you on a mini mind vacation that you will never want to leave. After a hot stone pedi, you leave loving life, loving your job and... Even loving your in laws. What I've learned by going here is: I need a friendly professional clean environment. I'm a professional, so my expectations are high and snobby as compared to most. I've been to the snooty fancy pants high end nail salons both here and in New York and all I left with was regret and sub par service. So no, they do not have crystal chandeliers, bottle service, catered lunch, a waterfall that is a replica of Niagra Falls, incense burning or Enya playing through the speakers. So my husband look this placed up it had 5 stars..so we went. On arrival no one greeted us nothing for 3 or 4 mins..yes they saw us. Than we were ask what we wanted not can we help you. Tried this shop as a walk-in, as I couldn't get an appointment with my typical shop. I had gel nails that had to be soaked off, and requested a cat eye polish. My entire visit took an hour and 20 minutes, and I was seen by 3 techs. Never had that experience before. I guess one of the techs did not know how to do the cat eye process. I was also cut twice, and this is what my thumb looks like, 1 week later. Overall, the quality of the gel is still good after a week, but I wouldn't go back. read more

Whenever I am in town I come here to get a pedicure. The staff is friendly, definitely not the kind of people who talk about you while smiling. They have tons of awesome options for pedicures that include mango, cappuccino, lemon dream, papaya. My favorite will always be the hot oil pedicure. Towards the end they put this green stuff on your legs and then wrap them in hot towels. Your legs will feel wonderfully tingly for the next few hours. With all flavors (literally) and styles. Everyone is very pleasant and friendly. I read reviews before me where they felt like they were being talked about or the technician wasn't paying attention. I didn't experience that. Frankly, I could care less if they were talking about me in their native language. Another reviewer mentioned the 'upsell'. At first, I thought Tracy wouldn't let go of the idea I didn't want a gel manicure. Two weeks after my manicure, I realize she was just telling me what she knew. I was a little annoyed when I walked in and they didn't acknowledge me...but someone finally asked how they could help me. Tony was my nail tech. He filed my nails perfectly, and I am very pleased with the shape. He trimmed my cuticles perfectly. When I first arrived at Elegant Touch I was skeptical. It is small (which I don't mind at all), and (what I did mind) was the missed nail clippings when I sat down in the old, worn pedicure seats. But then something magical happened - Tony began their mango pedicure which included a sugar scrub, mask, pedicure, and leg and foot massage. The pedicure (I got a French) was perfection. Also, I have, what I have determined, chronically dry, cracked feet. After Tony finished my pedicure, there was not a trace of dead or dry skin anywhere. I was blown away. At this point, I no longer cared what the place looked like - my feet were in paradise. Then, I got a regular French manicure (also by Tony) which was just as good as the pedicure (although with a shorter massage). He did amazing work and we chatted the whole time. So, why 4/5 and not 5/5? The cleanliness level was below my expectations and I, of course, was seated in the only pedicure chair without a functional back-massager. Cleanliness is incredibly important to me. So, the fact that I still gave them 4/5 means that the mani/pedi I received from Tony where really that good. I really like this salon. They are consistent and their work is always quality. They never remember me though and I'm there every two weeks lol no big deal, still friendly. I usually get gel and it last at least two weeks. I got acrylics last time bc my nails are just too weak and I wanted them longer. I needed them thin and Helen did an amazing job. She also did my eyebrows very well which is amazing bc literally I feel like everyone in columbia has messed them up! I get the basic pedicure instead of the spa and it's always the same price. I used to go here all the time before COVID and enjoyed it. I went here around noon on a Monday for a pedi. The polishes have all seen better days. They look like they've been there forever. The lady filled the tub for my feet with water that was around 125 degrees. It was boiling. There were no jets. And the towel she used had actual blood stains on it. The woman that did mine wasn't very communicative, but while I enjoy conversation, it's more important that my toes look decent when we're done than much else. Don't expect much from the massage chairs and the staff isn't very friendly. I was one of the first customers as I walked in shortly after they opened. A man did my pedicure and when it was time for moisturizer and massage, he painted my toes and then applied the lotion, avoiding my wet paint so of course my toes were neglected, no massage there.. it was woefully inadequate and virtually no polish selection. In the plus column, I felt that the lady doing my nails was meticulous and careful with the trimming and shaping, etc, and did a good job with that--it was one of the more carefully executed pedicures I've ever had in this respect. On the other hand, the massage chairs were not good at all (mine was kind of half-broken), and the other elements of the pedicure were kind of perfunctory-- I got home and found some rough spots where the dead skin was only partially removed the next day. Also, the nail polish selection was lacking, especially for colors outside the red/magenta/purple categories-- they barely had any fun summer colors, I was disappointed to find. I showed up at 4:45 at her request, and while I got a seat in a chair and had hot water for my feet, my pedicure did not begin until 5:10. I go to elegant touch at least monthly. I don't request anyone in particular because all the technicians I have had are equally good. The prices are average for the area and I can always walk in without waiting. The facility is not the most beautiful but given that it is not a lush spa, I wouldn't expect it to be. Compared to other nail salons in the area, I would say this is one of the cleaner ones. Although I really don't mind when nail techs don't talk to me during the service, the technicians at Elegant Touch all make an effort to be friendly opposed to some other nails salons where the technicians will go the entire service without so much as cracking a smile. Saturday was my first time here. I had a deluxe, hot oil pedicure done for $35. Nail tech was pleasant and attentive. Before the pedicure began, she brought out a sealed sterilized pack. I'm a no frills iPhone in my ear type of customer so I cannot comment on the small talk. I prefer a minty refreshing scrub so my nail tech suggested the hot oil over the other flavors. I rather enjoyed the warm towels and scrub that left my legs and feet feeling cool and refreshed long after my visit. There was more effort put into the massage than other locations, but I would say the scrub and warm towels were truly the key. I ventured to this salon after reading a favorable review on this site. Needless to say, I was not disappointed! The salon was clean, quiet, and inviting. They open a sanitized pack of implements before working on you. Helen, the technician who took care of me was friendly, knowledgeable, and best of all, Good at what she does! I received a fabulous gel manicure and polish change. This is only the second gell manicure I've had, but it will not be my last at this salon! It's been exactly one week since getting the gel manicure and I haven't had ANY chips, lifting, or other problems whatsoever. just got back from a lunchtime pedicure with two coworkers. quite impressed with this place. reasonable price ($26) to get a standard pedi. they do a great job of scrubbing your foot - sorry that sounds gross, but it's the truth. then it's base coat, two coats, top coat - the way a good mani and/or pedi should be. not only was that part great, but at the end they give you quite an amazing foot/leg rub. i was ready to fall asleep. the only reason i didn't give it 5 stars is due to the fact that their massage chairs weren't that great. but, i will DEFINITELY be back for my next pedi. bravo, Elegant Touch! read more

The guy that did my nails was youngish with glasses and an ear ring, he was meticulous and did a great job! I would recommend him if you go to this salon. I had a basic pedicure for $26 plus callus removal (which was suggested) for an additional $5. It lasted more than 45 minutes and I felt the woman did a great job. She was very attentive to details. My nails look great and the calluses are a lot better. She did speak to the other technician next to her quietly in Vietnamese, but what do I care? I brought a book to read and was perfectly happy.
