We had to stay here for a lacrosse tournament and it was a bad experience. We paid for two queen beds and they forced us to a king suite because they over sold the hotel. There was no bedding for the pull out sofa, our boys did not get a good night's rest, which was the only reason we were there! The lobby was under construction! A mess! The breakfast was moved to a meeting room and was not good at all! The WORST part of our stay was that I left a crochet bag in the room. I called the next day and they took my number and said YES they had the bag there and would mail it to me! I called back a week later and this person said my bag was right there, he took my info again and said he would send it back. After two more weeks I called back and they don't know where it is and no one has ever called me. I'm so mad!!! read more

The pour spots for wine/beer automatically shut off at 7pm. Fitness center with complimentary earbuds in case you forgot yours and want to enjoy music during your workout. Full refrigerator/kitchenette/microwave/dishwasher/stovetop/coffee machine setup with dishes/pans if you're there for short/extended stay. Free daily paper available in lobby. Cons: This hotel is located in an area that is not within walking distance to eateries. Either bring your own food with you or order in (limited options) so it's delivered if you don't have a car. They do not have a restaurant onsite. You should ask for listing info for menus because they don't offer when you check-in. The shades in the room allow you to see through them. This makes you feel as if someone else can see you. The concern is if your up too close to the shade an onlooker can see your shadow image with the shade down and lights on. The doors don't shut behind you when leaving at times. Make sure you pull door shut whether your entering/leaving the room. Cleaning service should make sure they move furniture when cleaning (i.e. couches, lamps, etc.). I noticed the sediments on the floor between/under my furniture with webs. On a different note the hotel is comfortable and basically clean. My biggest issue during my visit was the microwave was horrible. The inside ceiling was peeling with a half decent job of cleaning. I was scared to heat my food in it without feeling like the inside ceiling of microwave would start peeling even more. The shampoo/conditioner/body wash are in liquid pumps located in the shower. They have the rainfall shower head so the water does not flow real hard. It's light but you have a handheld attachment to assist which is really helpful. This hotel was recently taken over by Marriott so you can stay here and use your Marriott Bonvoy Rewards. Overall I would stay here again but hopefully some of these issues will be fixed by then. read more

I think when this hotel first opened, it was probably great, but the years have been unkind and it has not been well maintained. The rooms are shabby and show a lot of wear and tear. I stayed last week and was horrified at the mold/mildew in the shower, cracks in shower walls, damaged headboard and desk... Highly recommend inspecting the room in great detail upon arrival. It could be cool if it were renovated but it needs a good amount of work at the moment. read more

Element is like the Holiday Inn of Starwood Hotels. It looks like an Aloft/Westin but I think Element is the lowest on the Starwood ladder. They don't have room service, they don't have any restaurants within the hotel, you have to come down stairs to the front desk and get what you want. Its an affordable hotel with NOTHING in the area. It is minutes away from Princeton and Trenton. This had many families staying when I was there for 2 nights. The free breakfast had bagels, pastries, pancakes, and coffee. read more

It is with a heavy heart that I write this "meh" review. My man friend and I stay at this hotel frequently, for "staycations". We hit Trader Joe's, stock up on food and wine, rent some movies, and enjoy our stay at a clean studio or one bedroom for a night or two. We like the amenities, like available full kitchens (complete with dishwashers), neat bathrooms (with environmentally "friendlier" flush options), and the signature Westin Heavenly Bed. Unfortunately... The last time we stayed here, I left my charger in the room we stayed. I called the hotel about five minutes after we left, and got a slight attitude from the girl I spoke to. I think "Okay, whatever...just please have my charger at the front desk when I come back tonight" (y'know?). Anyway, when we return, there was a note at the front desk that my charger was there, but...no charger. Never got my charger back. Those things aren't cheap. I know I shouldn't have left my charger at the hotel in the first place, and normally I'm the last person to blame staff for mistakes that have nothing to do with them, but...I'm convinced someone took my charger. Why did they have a note for it? How did it suddenly disappear after I called not five minutes after we left and someone went to get it out of the room? What pissed me off the most is that we stay here ALL THE TIME. At least once a month. It was our home away from home. Now I feel like our special nights are ruined. I don't even know if I want to stay here again. We'll probably look for another "like" hotel, honestly. I'm not up for buying another phone charger. read more

Terrible stay. Awakened last night at 130 am by fire alarm. Spent 45 minutes outside in sub freezing weather. Was clear walking down emergency stairs that pot smoking was the culprit. Zero communication from hotel staff while we waited outside. When we finally got back in firemen let us know this was regular occurrence at this hotel. Then we get email invoice upon arriving home and find out we've been double billed. It's taken 6 calls to have this addressed and it's still "being processed." Avoid this hotel. read more

I travel a lot for work. At least 100 days out of the year I'm staying at a hotel. This hotel is one of the best hotels as far as value and service. The manager and owner are always accommodating my requests. The last time I stayed there which was last weekend I asked to check in at 8 am since I was driving all night. All in all...the Element Ewing is....Ok. It looks like a Westin, it talks like a Westin, but it walks like a medium grade Sharaton. It is mostly a bunch of little things that bug me about this place. Yes, all the features are there, but it is evident that neither the staff nor the management has ever actually visited a 4 or 5 star facility; so that all the "features" that this location offers that should be on par with the upper echelons of the chain really fall flat. Some examples: 1) The gym is like an icebox and the AC controls are locked away from use...AND they have their crap music pumping in there way too loud. Isn't this why you provide *headphones* and something to plug them into? (each workout machine has TV/Radio) 2) The complimentary breakfast is way overpriced. The toaster oven is on, but not hot enough to toast anything. All of the breakfast sandwiches seem to have been sitting covered for hours because they are all chewy. No fresh fruit, and the coffee has to be the weakest crap I have ever had. I am not exaggerating. Yuck. 3) Yes, it is nice that the hotel is "green", which includes large volume shampoo and soap dispensers...but for God's sake, include SEPARATE shampoo and conditioner. I don't need my hair coming out greasier than when I went into the shower. 4) Great. I have a coffee maker and coffee along with my kitchenette in my room. How about some sugar and cream? Or was I supposed to stop by the grocery en route? 5) Fix the damn printer in the lobby. The kiosk software used is crap, and it seems to lose sense that the printer is attached (or vice versa). When I was there, not one of the PCs could print my boarding pass. PRO-TIP: Borrow a USB cable from the front desk and plug your own laptop directly into the printer. The facility itself is very nice. Very Westin-y...unfortunately the staff seem to be right on target with their goal of mediocrity. If I should have to be in this neighborhood again someday I'd come back...but that is mostly because the competition in the area is pretty lame, not because the Element Ewing is banging on all eight cylinders. read more

Well, my family and I have been staying here since the end of May, I came back home to Trenton so I could help my children get settled and take care of my oldest who has been sick. I drove from Columbia, SC, and have been here since. I loved my room, the entire staff, the restaurants in the area, and the hotel. We will be coming back for staycations and I will continue to sing their praises!! There was an air conditioning issue and the Asst. General Manager switched the room no questions asked and/or stalling. She was fast and efficient when moving us, the cleaning staff got the room ready as fast as possible and then we were moved asap! The meals that I was cooking while we have been here, have kept me busy...lol. And you wouldn't be able to tell that I did 4 to 5-course meals on a two-burner stove, crockpot, and rice cooker (The crockpot and rice cooker are mine) but I was having so much fun!! And we will continue to sing the praises of The Element hotel, my mother is in The Elks and as soon as she walked in, she told me that this was a 5-star hotel and The Elks would stay here if they were looking for a hotel. And that was confirmation enough for me because my mom has been in a lot of hotels across the U. S. and abroad and I know she knows what she is talking about. So please do yourself a favor and come here just to get away from the day to day, or a family outing and/or to bring your sweetheart for a getaway you will NOT regret it!! No Cookie-Cutter This At dusk, on the frigid last day of February, as we drove onto the desolate ice-coated periphery of the small and snow-shuttered Trenton, NJ airport, a massive squat brick of a building, a hangar perhaps, loomed in our headlights. Our GPS led us to the door, when what to our wondering eyes should appear but a vast, bewitching white space furnished with hard-edge metallic tables and sofas, counters and chairs under a ceiling nearly twenty feet high. To call the décor of this outpost of the Starwood and Westin chain's latest venture with mid-budget hotels "modern" or "contemporary" dates it way back to the Twentieth Century. It echos the Silicon Valley offices of Apple and Google. It is the lodging busines's prototype of industrial design gone galactic. It is a part of the chain's new eco-friendly Element brand. Ours is listed as the Element Ewing and as the Element Ewing Princeton, although Princeton is 12 miles away. The Element's great virtue is its audacity. It shatters the cookie-cutter conventions of hotel design. Not one object in our room came from the hotel industry catalog. In the bathrooms, none of the fixtures, not the square white porcelain sink perched on the counter, not the soap and shampoo, squeezed, not from vials but dispensers on the shower wall, mimic other hotels. Along with its head, the shower comes with a "shower wand." Somehow, the ventilation sucks out the condensation so you don't have to wipe off the mirror. Every room in the Element works for extended stays. Our Room 217 was a studio. We could also have had a one or two-bedroom suite. Our room had a full-size stainless steel refrigerator, a two-burner electric cook top, a microwave, a dishwasher, cabinets of tableware, and two wastebaskets--one for recyclables. We had an L-shaped couch that opens into a bed. We had a well-equipped glass desk with devices to connect to the TV, other devices and the Internet. The alarm clock is an elegant brushed aluminum marvel of simplicity. An ape could figure it out. That's a lot of upside to our Element. Its novelty alone could keep us a while. But step outside, and you're back in the tundra. The only commercial enterprise we saw within walking distance was a Courtyard hotel. No shops. No restaurants, inside the hotel or nearby. No place to walk to for milk and eggs to put in your refrigerator. No bar. The desk does stock bottles of wine, and the clerk will open them for you. The breakfast buffet is better than average, with plenty of healthy fruit and cereals. But for something cooked, our only option was a Wonder Bread-density bagel with scrambled egg and yellow cheese. We liked this rendition of the Element enough to try another Element. The price of our room, at $159.85, was competitive, even cheap in view of the furnishings and décor. But next time, we'll look for one with some elemental stirrings of life outside it. read more

They have filtered water in the kitchen. This is a neat little studio apartment. I wish we were staying forever. Very comfy and excellent service. This will be the only hotel I stay at when visiting home. The reservation agent gave me an excellent rate (upon quoting what Marriott told me). Someone else said that it was with a heavy heart that they gave a meh review. I stayed here in early July, 2016 on a business trip after staying for three years at the Courtyard next door. On the positive side I liked their evening drinks and snacks setup. That is, until I came back from work on the Friday evening to find that it was gone. Yes, it is only Monday to Thursday. I liked their breakfast and managed to find something that was sort of healthy. Also, they have a shuttle, but you have to really know what you're doing to actually get to use it. Clue: book your ride well in advance and make sure that you're only going close by. Now for the meh part. You can hear the people walking above you so get a top floor room. Also, I specifically hung the "do not clean I want 250 points" outside my door way in advance. Needless to say the cleaning people cleaned my room. Also, the hotel is very difficult to find. So find it on google maps, print out the map, and take it with you. On my Friday night there there was a large group of young people partying outside. One of them was driving his car around in a crazy manner and sometimes he drove with the door open. Also, the hotel isn't near anything entertainment-like. So, you need a reason to be there like the airport or the hospital. There isn't anything to "do" within walking distance. All in all my stay was meh. I've had better. read more

Checked in New Year's Eve because I needed one more stay for Platinum. Very pleased indeed. Definitely had the Westin feel (all you really need is the bed). Our room, a studio, was large and set up nicely with all the comforts of home. The shower set-up was outstanding although I agree that the shampoo and conditioner should be separate. Amenity-wise, the salt water pool and hot tub were excellent (although they could probably have used 2-3 more degrees). Staff was friendly and seemed into the fact the hotel is "green". We didn't stay for breakfast so I can't comment on the food. All-in-all, a good place to go on a weekend if you just want to get out of the house, swim in a nice pool and sleep in a great bed. read more

The modern decor was great. It was a refreshing and welcomed style compared to the majority of the other brands that try to pretend they are in the Caribbean Islands with their ugly pastels. The bed and pillows were very comfortable but the AC blows on your head. Great value in that they provide a stovetop and a full fridge and modern connections to the LCD TV and DVD Player in the price. The free breakfast was as good or better than any of the other chains (typically Hilton brand) that i have stayed at. The orange juice was a brand name which was welcome over the powder stuff i have had at other places. The place was a bit dirty. Especially the grime on the chair backs in the Dining Area. I wanted to wash my hands after pulling out the chair to sit down. Overall, I would say that it is NOT Westin quality. I know that it is designed to be budget compared to Westin, but the shower knob should not feel like it is going to fall off and the window safety stop should not fall off when opening the window either. read more

DO NOT STAY HERE! HOUSING HOMELESS PEOPLE. Felt unsafe during entire stay. Also I booked a one bedroom suite and was given a regular room (as apparently they gave my suite to someone else and there were no other rooms available) and they refused to credit me for the less expensive room (a quick glance at their website shows that the non-suite room is at least $20 dollars less per night) the manager was absolutely no help and seemed to be either completely inept or just apathetic to the whole situation. Breakfast offering was disgusting with no coffee or tea available, plan on going out for breakfast. Room door had to be pushed with shoulder to open or closed (my 17 year old could not open or close it without my help, sounds like a fire hazard). Terrible water pressure with no hot water. Hallways were filthy and smelled dirty and moldy, along with the constant smell of cigarette and marijuana smoke. Kitchen had almost no supplies, mine had one glass, one coffee cup and a few utensils. We would have went to another hotel but we were there for an event and all other hotels in the area were booked. For $180 a night I expect a decent place to stay. All in all a terrible place to stay. Avoid this place! read more

I DO NOT RECOMMEND! Booked a one night stay because we are in town for my father's wedding. The desk staff was initially very rude. There were three people working the desk. It seemed like they were overwhelmed with another wedding party staying in their building and too busy to deal with myself and my wife. When we got to our room there were bugs all over the bathroom which spread over to the bedroom. I called to report down to the desk to see if they could just switch us to another room and instead they told us "Sorry about that, we will send house keeping up." I'm pretty sure house keeping are not exterminators. I went down to the desk and politely asked again and one of the desk agents moved us to another room. When we got to the new room the a/c was not working. I felt bad about reporting this but sleeping in 80 degrees was not ideal since we had to be up relatively early for the wedding. The manager on duty was now at the desk. I reported the issue with the a/c and she told us she couldn't switch us to another room, that they were booked solid. I mentioned that they had no problem switching us a second ago and she responded that they shouldn't have done that and that she "did not want to discuss why we were relocated then." I'm guessing she didn't want the other guests in the lobby to hear about the swarm of gnats all over the bed and bath in that first room. She said she would send a "building engineer" to fix the problem. As we were getting ready to leave for the rehearsal dinner a maintenance worker came to fix the air conditioner. He replaced the water coolant and had to get rid of ice built up on the filter and told us to leave it off for an hour which was great since we had to leave for a few hours any way. When we returned the room was back up to 80 degrees. We set the air to 72, room temperature, and left to set up the reception area a few minutes away for the wedding. We got back around midnight and our room was cooled to 75. We attempted to sleep with that and woke up a couple hours later. Our a/c turned back off even though it was still set to on and our room was back up to 80 degrees. Neither of us could sleep and now I'm writing this review at 5 AM. Luckily my wife located two fans that after some MaxGuyvering we were able to locate two outlets behind the television to rig up and use that. This all happened in October by the way and the windows wouldn't even help cool the place. The rooms seem nice at first but we were very displeased with the cleanliness and the maintenance and the staff in the end. I never feel the need to write these reviews but I travel constantly for work. The only time I've experienced a situation this bad was staying at a Days Inn in Little Rock. At least there the staff was happy to try and help us before we opted to check into a Courtyard Marriott 15 minutes away. There are way better hotels to stay at in this area for the same price. When you are staying away the last thing you want to deal with is an uncomfortable night of sleep and a staff that makes you feel like a burden rather than a guest. PS. Being an SPG member here didn't help, not that all guests shouldn't already be treated with the utmost hospitality. read more

It's a new boutique hotel located out in the middle of nowhere so both the wireless and wired internet don't work for business travelers located especially on the fourth floor. Management is helpless to do anything to restore the internet connection so they will just give you the 1-877 number of their helpless internet service provider who will just reset the wifi router on your floor to no avail. Lucky for you, the hotel serves better continental breakfast than your Best Western hotel, and unlike other hotel chains, it offers free hot appetizers and alcoholic beverages such as beer and wine every weeknight. read more

We stayed here just this past Tuesday and from checkin to checkout we were beyond pleased with the customer service. The front desk staff is superb, especially Racquel who went out of her way to make our stay comfortable. We flew in from Chicago with 4 kids our youngest being 3mths. All of us were exhausted so Racquel got our room ready for us early which helped us out a lot. The next morning we woke up late and missed their breakfast and when I ran downstairs to buy some snacks from their little tiny shop I ran into Racquel again and she ran into the kitchen and brought out food for my kids again. They were incredibly helpful and understanding and made our stay comfortable. Traveling with kids is no joke and as parents we really appreciate the care we received from Racquel...will definetely be staying at Element again. read more

If you want your Starwood points but don't want to spend an arm and a leg for your hotel, this is a good spot. The rooms are big and very clean. They have EVERYTHING you need including a kitchen. the decor is very stark and the hotel is really a no frills kind of place. There's no bar, restaurant or room service. But they offer a complimentary breakfast that isn't bad. I believe they also have an outdoor happy hour in the evenings. I think their clientele is mostly business travelers. But if you need to be in the area for an extended stay, this is a great spot since the rooms have kitchens. read more

Just leaving the Element this morning after a night of very little sleep. First off, we chose this hotel because it was pet friendly and we were on our way home from a beach vacation this being about 8 hours into our 2 day drive. The staff was nice and recommend a local pizza spot that was good when we arrived. They were fine w us using their bike racks for our bikes and even had wine to purchase after a ride from hell in treacherous rain. They also had dog treats and a water bowl right at the desk for our furry friend. This was the end of our pleasant experience. Upon taking the elevator to the 3rd floor to our room it sounded like elephants were running down the halls inside the elevator. We shrugged it off and went into our room. Our room was very nice, large w high ceilings, a big bathroom and a comfortable bed. When my husband took our dog out to walk, he could hear loud music from the 2nd floor and got to the lobby where there were 2 cops looking for someone staying in the hotel. There were also 2 cruisers in the parking lot. We tried to ignore all of this and went to bed. I was woken up around 3am to what sounded like someone running and then jumping onto the bed. At one point it sounded like the ceiling was going to collapse. After about 30 minutes I got up and put the fan on the air system on to try and drown out all of the noise. After finally getting back to sleep, we were woken up just before 8am to the fire alarm. The alarm was ultra loud and also had a megaphone of an announcement blaring down the hallway. We trudged down the hall with our more than freaked out dog to see everyone from the hotel outside in the rain looking exactly how we felt, pissed. After about 20 minutes they let everyone back in, apparently a false alarm and a guest had pulled it. Now that we were up we figured we'd go and take advantage of our included 'Hot Breakfast'. This is basically a sub par continental breakfast. There were stale bagels, some sort of wraps, and pancakes that looked like they were made a week ago. We settled on bagels because they looked like the safest option and went to get a coffee, there wasn't any, icing on the cake. We rifled down our disgusting bagels and went to the room hoping to at least have a cup of coffee in the room w the crappy instant maker only to find decaf our only option. We are both SPG members and were very disappointed with out stay. We will not be recommending this property to anyone. read more

I'd love to give the Element 0 stars but that's not an option. First, maybe years ago this was a modern, up to the date hotel, but not any more. First, the problems with the room. There is no water pressure in the rain shower head, which results in not better than a weak urine stream. They have shampoo/conditioner and body wash dispensers mounted on the wall which reminds me of showering at the YMCA. One of which didn't work causing me to do my hair with body wash. Nice. The TV on both nights showed "No Signal" on all the network channels as well as ESPN channels and their one premium channel Showtime. That left me with the weather channel ad some other random junk. Their "breakfast" included consisted of out of the box donuts, muffins, some stale cereal in a tube and juice. When I called Johnny at the front desk about the reported issues with the TV and Shampoo dispenser, his response was welll I'm not in maintenance" response was less that what I expected. After I hung up on him he insisted in calling me back to vent his opinion on me regarding my concerns about the hotel. If you a business traveler or even a casual traveler go to the Courtyard Mariott, and not this weak franchised version of a Westin hotel. btw... The room is dirty, hair on the bed, elevator did not work, front desk service was way too casual and seemed bothered when I complained. Cracked tile in the shower..The place is under renovation and boy does it need it. Wish I had known prior to coming that it was in the state and I would have moved on to courtyard. Seems like it's trying to be very hip to appeal to the millennials. The one positive note is the breakfast. A lovely lady making egg white tacos. Yummy. Although the chairs and tables in the dining room need to be replaced. Maybe planned? Good business hotel overall. Real bare bones feel though. No soap in the bathroom. Breakfast was very plain. The wifi was spotty (in my room at least). On the upside the place is very clean, they have a nightly cocktail reception with free beer/wine/snacks, and the fitness center is good for this type of hotel. hello- where to start, they have breakfast burritos that aren't very tasty in the morning (they ran out of the breakfast sandwiches a couple times) and cereal/fruit, whereas many of the other hotels in the area have a full complimentary breakfast and dinner buffet (they don't have a kitchen, but they do have a plethora of menus where you can get delivery). there is a nice area where you can buy overpriced tv dinners behind the check-in counter and frozen bottles of power-ade. the vent in the bedroom seems to always blow directly onto the beds, i guess that's a good thing if you like that, i don't. i found pistachio nuts behind a couch and the house keepers hair in the sink and on the bed, i know it's not mine because i don't have long black hair. the comforters are also extremely staticy. they also aren't good at wake up calls, they didn't wake me up twice, once might have been because the phone was broken, i'm not sure. for daylight savings i had to change all the clocks myself. there aren't any restaurants in the area so be ready for a little drive if you're looking for food. the airport is right there so if you need to catch a flight or like listening to airplanes this hotel is in the perfect spot. the rooms look like little offices with beds in them. the hotel looks nice but it's lacking in feeling like you're at a home away from home. the guess best part is that they have showtime. read more

I am currently staying at The Element in a 4 month assignment in the area. I expected more given this is a Westin property and have always had my expectations exceeded staying in Starwood properties. The room is difficult to keep temperature regulated and the LCD tvs need better connections as they have fuzzy reception on any non-HD channel. My only real complaint is the dogs barking constantly and the fact that this business extended stay is loaded with kids running the halls during the weekends back and forth to the pool. The bed is very comfortable and the size of my one bedroom adequately appointed with storage. The sectional couch is like sitting on concrete blocks. read more

I do NOT recommend this hotel to anyone! My family and I flew in from Miami, Florida and we checked in on Thursday, May 24, 2018 and were booked to check out on Tuesday, May 29, 2018. (We booked 4 rooms) We were looking forward to enjoying family time together in the hotel until Saturday our big event were to take place. However, that family time included us enjoying the pool that was on premise. The day we went to go to the pool area we were told by staff that the pool is not available; that it was reserved for a girl's soccer ball team. I have never EVER heard of such crap like that! We thought maybe it was just for that day but later on was told that it was not available for the entire 5 days we were booked to stay there. I'm now thinking "This is absolutely INSANE!" So not having the pool available left us with not much to do but stay inside of those small rooms we rented. Therefore, we decided to check out earlier then we originally had plan. This cost us extra money to change our flights but in the long run I feel it was worth it. Why give "Element" anymore of our money. I tried to check out much earlier but the Marriott Courtyard that was across the street were a bit pricey due to the Memorial Holiday weekend. Front desk staff at this location needs more professional training when dealing with the public. read more

I do not recommend this roach infested hotel to anyone. My family members flew in from California, Florida, Alabama and Texas for my mother's surprise birthday party. Everyone checked in on Thursday and was supposed to check out on Monday. We chose this hotel because of the the amenities, the pool, the gym, and the kitchen area in the rooms. My family members had to remain out of site for two days before the party and we thought we will enjoy the pool. Not... we were informed that the pool area had been reserved for a whole week for a pool party and for a girl's soccer ball team. Are you kidding me? If that is the case then a disclaimer should be included when one is getting ready to reserve rooms. We could not use the pool during our week stay. Secondly, the rooms had roaches. Ughhhhhhh GROSS. Perhaps having a kitchen in the rooms isn't such a great idea after all. The tv was on a swivel on a desk which just made the room look cluttered. I was not, nor will I ever be impressed with the Element. I tried to move my family members to the Marriott Courtyard, however it's Memorial Day weekend and the prices for the rooms were double the amount. Several family members spent extra money by changing their flights and leaving early because of their discomfort here. I can't say that I blame them. If this review will help prevent other potential guests from experiencing what my family and I experienced, then I feel vindicated. I was not impressed with the staff either. Most of them were sloppy looking, not neat and wasn't pleasant at all. The hotel itself is shabby. I will NEVER EVER stay here again and will not recommend this NASTY place to anyone. This is just a so-so hotel. They didn't honor our room requests at all, don't provide (or even know they're supposed to have) the dog amenities, and aren't very good at communicating with their guests. We stayed three nights over two separate stays, found many things wrong and rundown with the room, weren't impressed with the stale breakfast foods, were nauseated by their spoiled milk, and were disappointed with the temporarily closed pool. Quick review. Stayed here sunday night- got a great deal on Expedia so said why not?. Element is a boutique hotel. It is very modern and minimalist. Clean and white, no clutter but everything you need is there. They have a pool and hot tub- unfortunately both were not working when i stayed so we got to go across the street and use the pool at the marriot which was ok. The room had a king bed which was comfortable enough. Flat tv lots of channels. Air conditioner blew cold and hard. Room had a small fridge and microwave, small counter and sink with cabinets and a toaster. Bathroom is modern and nice however the shower had this water saver rain showerhead- awful- no water pressure at all- the water barely feels like it is hitting you. I know they want to save water but their showers are just silly. Forget washing your hair in the shower unless you are bald or have a crew cut- the little sink in the bedroom has more pressure so wash your hair there if you have to. The staff at the hotel were very nice and friendly. Place was quiet all night but they do not have do not disturb signs for your door so house keeping was banging on our door at 8am which was annoying because we wanted to sleep late. And they keep banging so make a sign and put it on your door if you want them to leave you alone. There is a big gas grill in the courtyard you can grill on so if u have a group of people u can cook out and save some cash if you want to. I would stay again but i'd spend the extra $20 for the larger room but only just to compare it to what i had before. Check expedia for deals. read more

The hotel staff can use some help. They were friendly but not very professional. I did really enjoy the room though it was like staying in a studio apartment. The bed was definitely comfortable. I did enjoy the amenities the room had. The sink hat filtered water which was nice. The room came with a big fridge and kitchen. If you wanted to connect your devices to the TV there was a switch for multiple devices and various interfaces. I was upset that they initially said they had a free shuttle but then once I got there and said my flight left at 6:30, they were not able to provide one. I would stay at another one of these though again as the room was great. read more

Stayed at this hotel before and it was a great experience I can say !!! Went back again and stayed because I enjoyed my last experience with them and I made a big mistake !!? I arrived there late in the day put my bags down left and come back try to get comfortable to find dried BLOOD yes BLOOD at the foot of the bed and I was pissed because it almost 2am in the morning I recorded it went down stairs to talk to the guy that in shift furious demanding my money back to stay somewhere else but he couldn't and ask us do I want a housekeeper upstairs which I was pissed about because that was a very stupid question to ask when finding blood you need to disinfect the area I called around everywhere that night and complained to cover all basis !! When the manager finally came in I went to talk to her she act like she didn't care what so ever and said she couldn't help me because I booked through Priceline and advise me to dispute off my account and she won't fight against it!!! Then tried to accuse me and lied in my face and say she found bloody tissue in the trash so I go back to that room record the trash to prove to her she was lying I ask her where do you see bloody tissue she said "we threw it out " then I said so you through out the bloody tissue in the trash but not the rest of the trash and didn't change the sheets and blanket there either the room still look like crap!!! I was Pissed she lied in my face and said I can't help you smh Never go to this place they DO NOT CLEAN ROOMS HOW DID THE HOUSEKEEPER BE OK TO LEAVE BLOODY !!!!!!!!SHEETS ON THE BED OH I KNOW THE ANSWER BECAUSE HE OR SHE NEVER CHANGED THE SHEETS read more
