Let me start this by thanking Dontell, his service was amazing. I witnessed him be attentive and accommodating while experiencing an evening rush. He displayed such poise and focus, tending to a full bar. My husband and I ordered the Carolina Mule, as a ginger lover it was tasty. I ordered the Nashville Chick'n, loaded totchos, and the starter wings with jalapeño bbq. Don't judge I'm only in town for the weekend lol. The Nashville chick'n was good not as spicy as I thought but still really good, the fries were fresh. The totchos were good, but the cheeze sauce was a little too thick for my liking. The flavor was good though. The wings were good too, even my carnivorous hubs liked them. The atmosphere was welcoming and chill. I liked that there was a photo opp wall that reads "I licked it so it's mine." Too bad my hubs wouldn't let me lick his face in a picture lol... Wow. My wife and I went here this evening. The experience vaults Element into my favorite restaurant. I have been vegetarian for a long time, though my wife eats meat. We both loved the food. We got chick'n tenders, "pork" nachos, and the elemental burger, and a dessert. It was WAY too much food and we took a lot of it home. The nachos were superb, so tasty. The fries were perhaps the tastiest fries I've had. The chicken was great too. But the best thing was the elemental burger. Wow! Beyond that, the customer service was great. They didn't put our order in quickly or there was a glitch, so it took a while for the food to arrive. The staff were very friendly and gave us dessert for free. I recommend this place really highly! read more

Raleigh needed more vegan places that make it so good that you don't realize it's vegan. The Bahn Mi was so delicious, and I would get it again. My wife likes mild spicy, but the Nashville Hot Chicken is fire spicy, so I got the opportunity to eat the other half of her sandwich (it was delicious too). You can't go wrong with the tots or the fries. Looking forward to trying everything on their menu. read more

My friend and I went here and their chicken sandwich is sooo good! I have had a lot of vegan food in my life but I have never had a vegan chicken fried as perfectly as this. I cannot wait to go back and try the other items on their menu. Also their fries had so much flavor and the ranch I got on the side was the perfect pairing with them. All of the food we had was so well done, it was really impressive. The only negative I have was their cocktails. My friend and I both got cocktails and they were not what we were expecting. Instead of a small tumbler cocktail like we were expecting, they were whole water glasses full and just tasted a bit watered down and not very good. Would have preferred a smaller drink with more concentrated flavor. I'm sure they will work out the kinks so don't let this deter you because the food was phenomenal! read more

Vegan Junk Food Galore! Vegan does not mean healthy so don't come here looking for a nutritious meal of veggies. These are vegan mimicks of animal based meals. Greasy, good, and tastes great! My family and I really enjoyed all of the food we got. Desserts are not good, especially for the price. Other than that, I 100% reccomend to anyone who is in need of vegan comfort food. I don't get the great reviews unless their dinner food and service is far superior to their brunch. My kids got the chicken strips/fries and my husband got the chicken wings (which came with carrots). They were the same dish (same vegan protein) except for the amount and the sauce but my husband's was $6 more. I got the hunni chicken sandwich and that one was the only good meal of the bunch (that's the only reason for two stars). There were no drinks available except water, lemonade, and cocktails. I wanted an iced tea or iced coffee which seems like pretty basic brunch beverages but they didn't have them. The real issue is that the service was super poor. The host didn't really welcome us, just asked if we had a reservation. We said no, and they said, k, sit wherever you want. Our waiter was hard to get a hold of, never smiled, didn't make eye contact, never asked how our food was when the water was refilled. When we attempted to order certain items listed on the menu, all the waiter said was, "nope, they don't do that anymore". One of our chairs was broken and we swapped it out with another chair for ourselves since we couldn't find the waiter. They were maybe only half full so being slammed isn't the excuse. I am very forgiving when I'm in a vegan restaurant since I appreciate the values behind veganism but this place did nothing for us. It was such a bummer. read more

We're vegan and are always looking for great vegan food. We were excited to find this restaurant. We ordered the nashville hot chicken and fries and the chicken sandwich, no side. The bread was great, the pickles were good. The condiments on the sandwiches had no discernible flavor. The chicken was crunchy, so the texture was pretty good, but again, had very little flavor. The fries, however, were excellent. Unfortunately we've been spoiled by Pure Vegan Cafe. Their chicken sandwiches are AMAZING - very crispy and very very tasty. Their honee mustard on the chicken sandwiches is amazing as well and just adds to the wonderful taste. Lastly, their sweet potato fries are the best we've ever had. Even though we didn't have a great first experience at Element Gastropub, we will be back for brunch. There aren't a bunch of vegan restaurants, so they deserve another chance. Earlier this week my husband and I, both mostly plant based eaters, decided to try Element Gastropub after our first choice was closed for lunch. Luckily for my broken toe, we found parking very near by and walked in to a quite busy place. The decor was casual industrial and ambiance was approachable. Being a senior and 'old school' I was slightly put off to learn that ordering was only by scanning a QR code for the menu, but soon figured it out. Now to find a server. THAT was a challenge as we found out that in the back, two employees were out and in the front there was only one experienced server and another in training on her first day! The owner was there as was his father and between the two of them, we were able to put in our order before too long. I had the BBQ nachos plate while my husband ordered the Buffalo Soldier. Both were quite tasty and generously portioned [we both took home leftovers]. I adored mine while my husband would have preferred the greens on his to be chopped into bits sized pieces and would have liked more dressing on his. We will definitely return, including Element Gastropub on our 'lunch out' rotation. read more

Worst service I have ever had at a restaurant. We were there for over an hour waiting for food, and were never even offered a drink refill while our server was walking around aimlessly. Other tables ended up getting food and drinks before us. We saw our drink made, and then it took 10+ minutes for the server to bring it to the table. Not all of the tables were full, it was not super packed. I do not recommend going here. We ended up leaving and getting Jimmy Johns two seconds away, which we got within 5 minutes and had better service. read more

I don't usually leave reviews on places I eat at but felt the need to leave one this time. The food is okay.... Got the chicken sandwich and I did eat most of it but, it just wasn't for me. Fries are delicious though! Service was decent but none of the workers looked happy to be there which was really sad to see. Ambiance is really nice and interesting, however, the restaurant itself is actually really filthy. Saw a huge water bug/cockroach crawling up into the cabinets with the coffee cups in them. Should probably get pest control in there asap. Not saying I would never eat there again but it will probably be a while before I return with the hopes that the place is actually cleaned better and the bug situation is handled. read more

Yall...I had a near religious experience last night with their Coconut Shrimp. It was that good. We went to eat dinner there during a festival that was happening in downtown so it was very loud and busy outside. Once we got to the restaurant, it was a little chaotic since people were coming into the place to buy a drink so they can use the bathroom. Anyway, we sat at the bar since we walked in without reservations. The drinks were amazing and the food was really good. The owner of the business was working the bar and he was really nice and doing his team and him ere doing their best to take care of all customers. Even though the festivities outside were causing things to look chaotic, the staff did an amazing job. Highly recommend! read more

Received their email about Octoberfest and immediately made a reservation for Friday night. Had my meal and drink all planned and looking forward to the night. The food here is okay but it is certainly not good enough for the service I received. My party arrived and the hostess said she wanted to check with the waiter to see if he could handle another table. I appreciated this since it seemed like not overwhelming the wait staff was a priority. He said yes, we were seated and we placed our order of nachos and fries. For the next 45 minutes, we did not see our waiter or our food. When I finally made eye contact, he came by and said he would check on our food. He returned to say that there was some confusion in the kitchen and it would be about 5 more minutes. Another fifteen minutes went by and finally our food arrived. All toppings on nachos were cold and the fries were barely warm. Despite the temperate the food was still okay but I was left confused why an hour wait for food resulted in cold dishes. At the end of the evening, the waiter apologized for the wait and brought us cookies. I asked him if they contained cinnamon, since I had an allergy and he said he was 99% positive they didn't. Long story short, they most certainly did and I went home with hives as a result. There are other plant based restaurants in town that offer way better service so I'd recommend visiting them first. read more

I've been dying to come here because I was a huge fan of Remedy (RIP) We came on a Thursday night around 8:30, the place wasn't crowded and we sat outdoors. I ordered the chicken tenders and my friend ordered loaded fries. The server told my boy that he could have chicken wings because they were GF. When his wings arrived by a different server the man informed my boy that they were not GF and that nothing on the menu except salads were GF. Then my chicken things arrived and they looked like old, fried ballerina slippers. They were these chunks of over salted, saturated in some oil. They were supposed to come with two sauces and we only got one. I asked for catsup and it never came. My friend said he would take them and gave me the loaded fries which were also over salted and lacked flavor. My friend said he couldn't eat the shoe-chunks either and then got up and went to spit out something he claimed was like gristle. The server offered us to go boxes and I told her the meal was terrible and she became a little acrid and said that NO ONE had ever told her that. I've had bad food, especially in diners and so forth but the wretched taste that these things left in my mouth was probs one of the worst. We were starving when we left and ended up eating at home. If you're looking for the most creative, satisfying, well-priced 100% vegan restaurant in the state of NC, look no further than Element!!! They have some incredible mock meat, my favorite is the BBQ sandwich or the BBQ nachos or the buffalo grilled chik'n wrap/salad. Both are actually seitan, which I love. There's also options for those who aren't fans of mock meats, like the kale Caesar salad, caprese sandwich, and the Pimento grilled cheese, not to mention the French fries, cookies, and cake are out of this world. Element is also single-handedly responsible for making me eat salads again because I refuse to eat any greens if it does not have their vegan ranch or bleu cheese dressing on it, so good!! The portions will actually leave you full and they have great shareable options. The cocktails are creative and all the beer, wine, and liquors are also vegan, which is a nice touch. read more

My daughter has nut and sesame allergies and told server he said he told kitchen she had an immediate reaction hives on face and throat itching very dangerous bad reaction. I walked in with a group of friends around 4:30pm for an early dinner and was asked if I had a reservation, which we didn't. The hostess and either the owner or floor manager made it slightly over bearing comment that I should always make a reservation. We then walked outside to be seated down. We asked if we could sit away from the door at another table. The owner/floor manger grind in reluctance and said "the thing is I have to seat you in a certain way for my waiters". Not the best response. After about 2 minutes he walked back out and moved us over to where we originally asked. I guess he realized that wasn't the best business practice to not accommodate your gusts, and no the place wasn't busy yet. It seems like I'm bashing this place but all around it wasn't a bad experience. I split the chili covered nachos with 3 other people...and let me tell you it was AMAZING. The chili was some of the best I've ever had. I would definitely recommend. As far as my entree I got the Buffalo chicken sandwich which wasn't the best. It had hard, burnt, and chewy black bits on the outside of it and hardly tasted like Buffalo. It needed more sauce, but the side of cucumber salad was delicious. My friends got the pulled pork sandwich which they said was really good. So I would suggest getting that as an entree. Overall, I thought it was ok and that I picked the wrong entree. 3 meat eaters walked into a vegan restaurant.... And loved it! We tried a bit of everything on opening night, sampling the different proteins and we were all very happy. The flavors were all on point, the drinks were great and we all said we couldn't tell that the buffalo chix sandwich wasn't real chicken... My boyfriend and I got dinner, here. He isn't all that much for vegan or vegetarian, but he really enjoyed the burger he had, and the fries... delicious! I forgot what the burger was called that he got. Maybe just a smash burger, but he loved the nachos cheese. I got the essential burger, I think it's a variation of that name, but it's a veggie pattie. I got it without the vegan cheese, and got mustard instead of the sauce it comes with. A side salad, no dressing or cheese. I'm a very picky eater. They accomplished to accommodate each request, without hesitation or complaints. I admire that! My food was so delicious! Fresh, flavorful, did not make me sick, not that it should, but I have a lot of dietary issues, so...that's saying a lot. Sorry for the run on sentence. My daughter and I ate here a couple days before Christmas while visiting from out of state. This was one of the best dining experiences we have ever had, hands down. Loved it! Went for lunch the other day - service was prompt and friendly, food was amazing! We had the chick'n tenders app, which could have been a meal with the huge portion! The chick'n tenders were crispy on the outside, juicy and tender on the inside and were served with hot, crispy fries. For our main meal, I had the Monster Reuben Sandwich, my hubby had the Philly cheesesteak hoagie - both were fantastic! We drove from north of Greensboro for dinner to celebrate our anniversary And it was worth every bit of the drive. We arrived about a half hour early because we weren't sure what the roads were going to be like as we had a few inches of snow. Chelsea was our server and was awesome! We loved everything from the pretzel, the totchos, the Monster Reuben, BBQ sandwich, and the Almond Orange Pistachio cake! It was the perfect date.
