I would not recommend Elements Group. They did not replace plants that died and some they killed. And they had agreed to replace these things. They left my gates open every time they came to do the yard. I would ask for them to please close the gates, because I have dogs . They never did a great job on the yard. I hate yelp. worst service ever! I 'inherited' this company when the company we used for over 20 years sold out to them. At first they were very good, (when they maintained the staff from the former company), however, after about two years, they have deteriorated and are beyond irresponsible and the quality of service is lacking. The straw for me was when they broke my fence and messed up my pool deck, then they denied it. Only after me providing them pictures from my security camera did they then change their tune. After five phone calls and emails, someone called me back with the assurances they were going to take care of it immediately. That was over a month ago, still nothing! I contracted with Elements for residential service for the last 18 months. They charged me $333/month, which is what I agreed to, so no problem there. But at that price I expected a premium customer experience. Unfortunately, what I received was nothing more than a "mow and blow" -- and even that was poorly done. My lawn looks worse now than it has in years. Moreover, the company is decentralized and the left hand doesn't seem to know what the right hand is doing. They send out invoices from different emails, the customer service rep is different than the accounting department, and the scheduling folks don't seem to have access to either of that information. Overall, I'm quite unhappy with what I expected to be a premium lawn service. read more

Reader - we know that accidents happen. But, a professional business operation should take care of its customers. On May 30, 2019, around 12:50 p.m., I received a call from my HOA security office informing me that a neighbor had called to say large amounts of water were flowing from my yard. When I received the call from my HOA security office, I immediately call Elements to check and see if someone had been on the property prior to the call. Because, the sprinkler system was set to "Off" at the control box, and I couldn't understand why water would be flowing at all - unless someone turned on the system. The Element's dispatcher I spoke with confirmed that Element employees had been on the property earlier that day performing lawn care maintenance. I related the problem to the Elements dispatcher and was told they would sent someone back to the property. I told her I would head to my house. I met an Elements employee at my residence 25 minutes later. He showed me where the accident had occurred (at the manual in-ground water value). The yard was quite saturated. The employee told me they had "accidentally" turned on the value by stepping on it and he apologized. I politely told him found it hard to understand how someone could step on it and turn it simultaneously because the valve to turn on the system manual is the about the size of a quarter and the value is sitting down in the ground in a hole. Anyway, it turned out that the value had not been accidentally turned on, but the piping leading into the value had actually been damaged (probably run over by a mower), and as a result, the pipe leading to the value was cracked in two places - thus causing it to leak - to the tuned of a total of $853.55 (for the months of June and July). I also paid $39.00 for a plumbing service company to come identify the source of the leak. I sent a certified letter to Elements Lawn and Landscape to request reimbursement for damage done to my sprinkler system and the resulting costs. Along with the certified letter to Elements, I sent my City of Austin (CoA) water bills (which clearly showed that the increased water usage began on May 30, 2019 (the day the damage occurred); an the invoice from the plumbing company showing where the leak was discovered. There is also a record of the call from my HOA security office of day the damage occurred. CoA sent someone out to re-read the meter to determine the problem was not CoA related. Attached to the certified letter where water bills for April, May, June, July (so Elements could see that the increased water use began on May 30th), the notice left by the CoA concerning the re-read and the invoice from the plumbing company. Today, I received a call from Sean Bush, Vice President of Sales and Operations at Element Lawn & Landscape. Mr. Bush chose to take the "low road". Sadly, he decided to play the "if-no-one-saw-our-company-employee-do-the-damage-than-we-don't-have- to-pay-for-our-mistake-nor-do-the-right-thing-and-reimburse-the-customer-for-the-damage-we-caused" game. And, if that wasn't unprofessional enough, he proceeded to insulted me even further by offering me $200 with "no admission of guilt". I declined his offer and must now pursue other means to recover my lost. I am extremely disappointed that a well-established business like Elements chose to respond to its mistakes in an unprofessionally manner; and fails to take financial responsibility for damage caused by one of its employees while performing duties on its behalf. I guess they have forgotten that without customers there would be no Elements Lawn and Landscape. I canceled my lawn service with Elements Lawn and Landscape and will provide a copy of the certified letter and supporting documentation to the president and other members of my Homeowner's Association (HOA). We were recently given 30 days cancellation notice after asking Greg and Shannon to come out and take a look at our property following a visit that looked like the crew had not even been here. We used Elements Group yard service for 9 years, and had wonderful results. We have a big yard. I would have given them 5 stars a few years ago, but sadly because of bad lawn service and unsatisfactory customer service we terminated their lawn care this fall. The owners and lawn management team changed and so did our yard. Their prices went up and our lawn had its worst year ever! If you want just mow, blow, and go, they are ok, but if you want good trimming, excellent gardening, fertilization with notice,, and spot on replies and service for difficult issues, look elsewhere. I had a really good experience working with Elements recently to get my yard in shape to put my house on the market. Brent met me as scheduled, discussed my needs, and prepared an estimate for me in a fairly short time frame. He did not try to up-sell me on things I didn't need or want, but did make some helpful suggestions that I considered. He was responsive to my (many) queries, and communicative with me about the status of the work. Brent knew that I was no longer in the state when the work was performed, and sent me pictures of the work upon completion. My only regret is that I didn't find Elements sooner. I recently had a batting cage installation spec'ed for my backyard and solicited three bids. The Elements Group came in lowest but delivered a top-notch solution. This is no ordinary cage project: it is 80 feet long, has a five foot slope from one end to the other, and involved a complex logistics plan of coordinated effort between various suppliers. The end result is amazing. We chose a concrete footer for the perimeter base, large limestone chop for the wall, rock infill, and artificial turf from a local reseller of used football field synthetic grass. GM Greg Kidwell, account manager Josh Rutz, and onsite supervisor Mica Mahan ensured that everything was crafted beyond my expectations. With lights for night hitting/pitching, my son has no excuse to get scholarships and major league contracts so I can retire early. Otherwise, it gets turned into a vegetable garden. My experience with Elements Group from the beginning has been horrible. They are non-responsive to phone calls and requests for special work. It took me about four weeks to get ahold of someone to request to have mulch put in my yard. It took another two weeks after that for someone to actually do it. After I closed my account with them, they came back eight months after the fact and claimed I owed them money, when I had already paid and had the cancelled checks to prove it. They threatened to send me to collections unless I paid again. Turns out it was their accounting mistake and inability to credit my payments to the proper invoices. They are a nightmare to deal with. Their yard work is average and really nothing special. I would NOT recommend them to anyone. read more

I have to say, I wanted to make this an easy sale for them but after a call from Greg from on the road with a time I couldn't make, he said he would call back that day. No call. I then receive a call the following Mon apologizing for the miss. Ok, I was fine with that. Greg came out, and as he walked up, I put on a mask, to which he replied "oh, sure you can put that on." without any intention of putting one on himself. That felt strange, especially in these times. I understand we would be outside, but making your customer feel safe should be a priority. We discussed lawn work and potential landscaping. It honestly felt like he just wanted to get going. He told me to 'google' some of the options we talked about and said he would send me some examples of the other landscaping options we discussed. I told him I also wanted lawn service. That could have been an no brainer for them. Although I see their prices on these reviews and they are ridiculously high. He told me he would send me a quote. that was several weeks ago. CRICKETS. I'm happy to say, I lucked out with another lawn service and am looking forward to reasonable pricing and the feel that my business is important. read more

I hired Elements 2 years ago. They were the only gardening service who was even willing to consider my yard. All the others were only interested in mow, blow, and go. I needed actual gardeners willing to work on my property which is all garden areas and no lawn. They were wonderful for taking the job and more wonderful every visit. They maintained my shrubs and trees to perfection during this time. After the initial few visits where we discussed my needs I had very little interaction with them. The crew knew what to do and came and did it very well. My busy schedule appreciated their level of commitment and dedication I am leaving them now only because I sold my home to move into a condo. I will pass on my recommendation to the new owners and hope they continue to enjoy the services of Elements. My favorite thing about her is that she picks up my call on the first ring, cheerfully greets me "Hello, Mrs. Easton!", then promptly answers my questions or puts me on the schedule for whatever it is I need. Elements has been providing me with regular lawn service for about a year now. At first, I didn't like that they were more expensive than other lawn services I had used, but now I think that because of the exceptional customer service they give, my money is being spent wisely. Whenever I need some tree or plant or area to get some extra attention, Mia makes sure the crew does it. And I don't get billed for that. I love that. You'll think they are expensive if you compare them to other landscapers, but you will love the "the customer is always right" kind of service you get and you will be happy to pay the higher price for it. read more
