Thank goodness someone told me about Kevin at Elements in Belmont. He does great myofascial release technique, which has been helping a rotator cuff issue I've been dealing with for 5 and a half months. Massage with Kevin is working! Things I like about Elements besides Kevin: the heated table pads, the great 'members deal' they have which make the massages more affordable, and the fact they are open 7 days a week. I'm in my third trimester and my bones ache. THANK GOD for Sherry and her prenatal massage. For the first time since the start of pregnancy I felt relaxed, lighter than air and ache-free. Sherry did a great job of sussing out knots, concentrating on places that needed extra care and was very knowledgable about a woman's body during pregnancy. The massage sessions themselves were great - I like most of the therapists there. The service though - is not. I did not want to go into an indoor space for a massage since the COVID started - which was in March, but they did not let me to suspend my membership (which is about $80 per month) for longer than 3 months. Now, I'm still not comfortable going in, and won't be until the vaccine is available - but the management does not want to either refund the unused sessions that I've collected so far (about 10 - so that's $800 right there), or to extend the freeze of the membership for longer. The only option they provide is to cancel the membership and then they "graciously" allow to use your unused sessions within one month (!!!). I complained, saying it's not safe to force people come inside in the next month, so they extended the time to use the unused sessions till June 1. Still, if we are lucky to get a vaccine , say , in April - I will have 1 month to use 10 sessions - or just loose all the money. Does not sound like a customer-first policies to me. read more

Elements of Belmont is a great place to get a massage. Easy to get to and easy to park near, Elements is a reasonably priced place to get a great massage. The staff is consistently friendly and professional, easy to work with, patient and helpful when booking appointments. I prefer to book my appointments in advance, so I always get a convenient time with the therapist I prefer. I go fairly regularly for a massage and take advantage of their package deals which helps moneywise. I have had many massages (deep tissue, hot rock and relaxing) at Elements of Belmont. They've all been wonderful! The decor is calming. The environment is quiet and comfortable. The massage therapist always take the time to check in with me about my expectations for the session (areas to focus on, injuries, etc)- which is important! Having been to many different spas for massages, I can honestly say that Elements of Belmont provides excellent services for reasonable prices. Try them out for yourself! read more

Pretty disappointed with Elements. I have been a customer for ten or so years. My kids got me a gift card earlier this year, but the gift card never was delivered. My son called to straighten it out. They told him I should just bring the receipt and that would suffice. I called earlier this week to book a massage and to confirm this plan. The receptionist said she would need to follow-up and also said because my credit card was not up to date, the appointment would be cancelled if I didn't update it by the end of the day. Since I was driving I said I would follow-up later. When I called back, they were already closed and I don't like leaving a credit card number on an answering machine. Called today to learn that indeed my appointment for tomorrow was cancelled. Mind you, my current balance (i.e. money of mine that they have had in their account)plus the gift card more than covers a massage. Still no follow-up from them. Exasperating! read more

The best massages i ever experienced! I was refered to Elements by a friend who loves the place. She is a member and allowed me to use one of her sessions. I have had a chronic back problem for years and have been to many theraputic practicioners that have given me some relief, but never like I experienced here. As previous reviewers have posted, the insignificant store front would not let anyone think that there was such a jem operating from a small single story building. The lobby is very inviting and soothing, from the color scheme to the friendly receptionists. The rooms continue the atmosphere, very modern, very clean very hospitable. My therapist, whom I have been seeing for months now (I attend 2 sessions per month), is FANTASTIC! I will not do into detail, but as I headlined, she performs the BEST MASSAGES I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED! Do yourself and body a favor and find a discount value pack and try a few therapists to find one suited to your liking and ENJOY! read more

I've been coming here for a while now and have generally had good experiences but lately the quality of the therapists has plummeted! You could call it amateur at best. The good therapists don't stay very long because they can make more money in private practice or in a hotel spa somewhere and what you end up with is new graduates with little experience who are not able to give you a great massage and are simply not refined. I suppose one needs to keep everything in perspective based on cost, however the massage rooms are too noisy, you can hear conversations in the next rooms (which should not be happening to begin with) The rooms are often too cold, or too hot. Some therapists have good manners and communication skills and others are HORRIBLE! Like forgetting to knock when they return after you have undressed assuming you are ready (fortunately I was) Honestly I think I'd rather pay a little more, go less often, and go to a real Spa where other amenities are available or just go to Cortiva Massage school nearby and get a similar student massage for half the price they are charging...Not happy, I'll be looking for a new place to go read more

I found it on my 3rd attempt, I really enjoyed my recent experience at Elements Therapeutic Massage with my therapist Robin. The environment was relaxing, clean, modern, and Robin's technique was excellent. I've already booked my next appointment. Just a note on other reviewers, the Belmont location is not above a garage and there was only very minimal noise from other customers being ushered to their appoints which did not interfere with my relaxing experience. If you're looking for discount prices for quality massages, see Raffi, Kevin, or Sherry (my list is growing). They each have different specialties, and I want to take each of them home with me anytime. Sherry is the first massage therapist who gave me the deep pressure I ask for. Kevin introduced me to myofascial release (I highly recommend this modality for anyone who enjoys deep pressure). Raffi is my current crush in this place. He does magical myofascial release (very different style from Kevin) on trouble spots I know about and some I did not know about. All three therapists listened and communicated with me throughout. I'm a member here and love that you can get $59 monthly massages, and then $49 for any additional sessions after that. What a deal! The receptionists are friendly, professional, and eager to accomodate my ridiculous last minute requests anytime they can. I'm a big fan. read more

I decided to try out this place just because it is in my neighborhood but this is a really great find! They are very nice from the time that you book an appointment to all of the different therapists. The massage therapists ask you what issues you have and really listen to you and what your body needs. The salon is always very clean and very professional. Elements in Belmont is everything you could want in a massage therapy location. The atmosphere is calming and pleasant. The service is impeccable- always friendly, always helpful! We have a membership and LOVE the easy system of paying up front at a discounted rate. They send a daily email with available massage times for that day and the next. The whole system is very convenient for busy people who need to make last minute appointments. And the massage therapists are amazing! The emails explain the pressure and types of massages specific to each therapist so you can choose which one works best for you. A yoga friend recommended Elements to me for a persistent sports related muscle injuries. After one visit I joined! I had reached the point where my back was very unstable and chiropractic care had done nothing. Over a few weeks of deep tissue work on my hips I was greatly improved. I have been going to Elements for about four years now and just last year started the membership program because the discount is quite deep and you can rollover unused massages to the next month and share the membership with someone else. It is a really good deal and is a great way to save money if you would have at least 5 or 6 massages a year. I always get massages from Amanda because she works really deep--and quite successfully-- to get out my most persistent knots. She is not only really great massage therapist in terms of technique, but has a great memory of your issues/tough spots, and just a general calming presence. The studio itself is very relaxing and I find I start to unwind the second I walk in the door. I've been going to Elements for probably a year now and I can't believe it took me this long to post a review! I have a monthly membership, which I recommend because you get a discount on massages and what's better than making sure you have a massage each month?! It's also nice that your massages roll over to the next month if you can't make it in one month. When I go to Elements I always book my appointments with my favorite massage therapist, Raffi. I always seem to have some tough knots in my back and shoulders and Raffi is the only massage therapist I've ever gone to that does an amazing job working them out. He also recommends good stretches for me to do for my back and shoulders in between massage appointments. I always get the deep tissue massage but I'm tempted to try a hot stone massage one of these days. I always leave Elements feeling so relaxed and stress free. I currently live in Watertown so Elements in Belmont is very convenient for me but if I ever move further away, I would still come to the Belmont location because Raffi is the best! read more

I have been using Elements of Belmont for a little over a year now and am happy to report that this is a terrific find! The experience begins with a query from the receptionist to find out the type of massage that you prefer. I was then matched up with therapists who fit my needs. I found this approach to be very helpful (and different from many spas where they are just looking to fill appt slots). The salon is clean and zen-like, with aromatherapy, soft nature music sounds and heated massage tables. Over the past year, I have tried the deep tissue, hot stone and Swedish massages -- and been very happy with the treatments that I have received. At the close of the appts (which are 55 and 80 minutes), you receive a bottle of water and a peppermint patty -- which is a nice way to close the treatment. I am lucky enough to live very nearby this salon, but with the price/value that I receive, I would definitely drive out of my way to have a massage here. Great place, great find! read more

I have been going to Elements for over a year now for a few reasons, the price is unheard of, the ease of getting an appointment, the atmosphere and mostly importantly, the massages. When I was tyring to get comfortable with a therapist, the staff was always quick to give recommendations based on what I liked and didn't like about my therapist. In addition, they keep track of my likes/dislikes in the computer so that I don't have to explain myself to someone new (i.e I have a sore lower back, I like the lavender aromatherapy and I love head massages). Its not as important now, since I only go to Heidi but its a nice added touch that other spas just don't offer. Heidi is amazing and does everything from hot stone ( my fav and well worth the extra $20 especially in the winter when its freezing cold out) to deep tissue. The atmosphere here is also very relaxing. If you are looking for an inexpensive massage in the area, Elements is definitely a place to try. read more

I started going to Elements about a year and a half ago when I was 7 months pregnant and was as uncomfortable as could be, I had kidney stones and a stabbing pain in my rib cage for my entire third trimester. My prenatal massage was a lifesaver because of the relief from all the pain it gave me. My entire experience from the professionalism of all the employees and the overall environment has been nothing but fantastic. Prior to each massage my masseuse always asks relevant questions to see if I have any special needs. They also are very attentive after the massage to clearly explain to me any concerns they had and what what might make future appointments better. After the birth of daughter my rip pain resolved itself but both me and my husband have become members and both find it a highlight of our month that we recommend to everyone we know. I also have to praise that they have Sunday hours. Evening hours are great but the Sunday morning hours make a great alternative whens someone always has to be home to take care of our daughter. read more
