My husband got me a gift certificate for my birthday so I had to go twice to use it. My first massage was actually painful despite me telling the massage therapist. The second massage was supposed to be an hour - the guy didn't come in to the room until 9 minutes passed and ended 8 minutes early and it cost over $100. I was in migraine level 7 when I walked in and by the time I was done and home, I no longer had a migraine. Within the first ten minutes, I thought she might have had a machine making a vibration on my body, but NOPE. She really had a energy connection with me. I felt it throughout the massage. BEWARE OF GIVING THEM YOUR CREDIT CARD We signed up for monthly massage about 3 years ago. After a year we cancelled because we were never in town and the membership just didn't make sense. We kept getting sales calls every other day to the point we blocked the number because it became so annoying. Well, some how they randomly started charging our credit card again after not having the membership for 2 years! VERY SHADY! It's unfortunate because the massage therapist were actually very good, but the way they conduct business is extremely untrustworthy. I was looking for two massages that were not crazily priced but since it was our anniversary I wanted it to be special. When I was searching for massage places on Yelp I initially felt like I had to chose between super expensive places like Burke Williams, or hole in the wall places that didn't look appealing. Elements Massage turned out to be perfect: it was clean, modern, warm and welcoming inside, they had amazing prices for their 80 minute massage, and both my husband and my therapists were wonderful. I had my first visit to Elements Massage and met with Marian. I am giving it 4 stars not because I was unsatisfied but because it was my first visit, and I feel when getting to know a massage therapist there is always room to improve they learn my needs better (I will certainly update my review). That being said, I was impressed. So let's begin. Location and facilities: Location is in a good spot with plenty of parking. Strip mall is very clean, in a nice neighborhood with other great services nearby so it's convenient. The facility was very clean and very well organized. The receptionist was very nice and professional. My only feedback is that the tip is very presumptuous, she is smooth at working it but immediately states at check out it's 15-20% tip as if there is no option. Again, she is smooth and it doesn't come off pushy. She even presents you a chart of 15-20% tips amounts based on service, here's the catch. The chart is based on FULL price. Which you don't pay for first visit or membership, but that isn't mentioned. So if you actually tip what is suggested and you fall under those two categories you're over tipping my quite a bit. I tipped 20% of my actual fee and got no negative reaction, so it's more a heads up to you. I am sure many people don't notice and some might even feel swindled for a few bucks. That is my ONLY negative point and it's nit picky. I was offered cucumber/lemon water upon arriving and it was tasty. When Marian came out she greeted me and was very friendly. We walked back to the massage room I would be in. The lighting was soft and comforting, the room was slightly scented but not strong at all, which I appreciated. We had a brief conversation about my needs and weekly/daily routine. She was good to note why workout schedule and my routine at work and addressed points that should be worked on. The massage was great for not having had one in a while. Marian was very professional, and very kind. She applied the right amount of pressure for my taste and worked the muscle groups very well and evenly. She also put hot towels on back and shoulders and feet at different points in the massage and they really helped to loosen things up and felt good. The oils she used where also not too strong and didn't leave a residue when the massage was over. I didn't feel like I needed a shower. I would highly recommend you give them a visit. If you are not a member it can very pricey IMO. But with a first time discount it's great, my 1 hour massage was $59 which is very reasonable. With a monthly membership it's $69 (month to month, no contract which is nice). I didn't get a membership yet because I want to see how I feel a few days later after my muscles have relaxed from the deep tissue work. Without a membership the massage is $99 for 1 hour, which I feel starts to get a little extreme. I'll be honest, I wouldn't pay $100 for a 1 hour massage, not because of the service but just because there are many equally good options for less. Bottom line, get the monthly membership if you're going to keep visiting. Very satisfied with my experience and would go back at the membership price. At first visit, they seem to run a very tight ship with good friendly staff. read more

I'm not one to write reviews much, but my experience with Elements Massage yesterday is worth sharing and they deserve the credit. I've been having this really bad pain at the front of my left neck for the whole week, and it wouldn't go away despite all the yoga and stretching I've done to try to resolve it. Finally, it was bad enough yesterday that I just called Elements and see if there is availability for 90 min. with Jill (who always did magic on my neck and shoulder the last few times I went). She wasn't available for 90 min, however, they were able to get me in with another therapist. As usual, when my appointment started, I described my pain and and asked my therapist to focus on that area and wherever she thought it'd take to help resolve the pain (as I'm not an expert and have found from previous massage experiences that the muscle connections were sometimes unexpected). After 90 min., while my therapist worked hard on my back and shoulder, the area where I went in for was not touched at all, and the pain was still there. I mentioned that to the Front Desk when I paid, but didn't make a big deal of it. Once I got home, the pain was still bad enough that I decided to look at Jill's schedule, and was able to find a 1-hour slot with her later at night, so I went ahead and booked the appointment online. Minutes later, I got a call from Elements to confirm that I meant to book that appointment rather than making a mistake, since I've just been in earlier. I let them know that I did mean to book it, and left it at that. About 30 min later, the Front Desk girl called back and said that she talked with the Manager. Since they didn't take care of my pain with the earlier appointment, they'd go ahead and cover my appointment at night, and they kept their word when I went in at night. I was really impressed with the attention of the Front Desk to notice my dissatisfaction even though I really didn't make a big complaint to them, then the proactivity to reach out to her Manager to try to resolve it, and finally doing the right thing to make sure my need as a customer was met by offering a free, make-up service. If that's not top-notched customer service, I don't know what is. I thanked them for taking such good care of me. As I've said earlier, I've been going there several times, but I've yet to join their membership, mostly I've been leveraging whatever seasonal promotions they've offered. However, through this experience, I'm seriously thinking about joining to support a business that genuinely cares about their clients' health. Thank you, Elements Laguna Niguel! Back to the night massage itself - Jill is a gem. I work long hours on computer, so I always get these crazy neck/shoulder knots, and I'm used to only being able to resolve them via the tough, super deep tissue Asian massage techniques - the whole no pain no gain. When I first met Jill, I didn't think this little lady would be doing much other than relaxation. Not only is she able to keep it relaxing without brute force, she is always able to get my crazy knots resolved. Last night, she patiently worked through different parts of my sternocleidomastoid (rare part to get massaged in most massages I've been to), and towards the end, she found this deep-seated small knot at the front of my neck (we both agree that it was a weird place to have a knot). My husband and I each scheduled a 1 hr full body massage last week. My massage was great, however my husband had a very poor experience. I contacted the spa and explained my husband's experience. They offered for him to come back at no cost. 5 days later my husband and I revisted for another 1hr full body massage. My husband could not have been happier with his experience. Best massage ever!!! I had a Spa Finder gift card and wasn't sure where I could redeem it. I found Elements Massage on their website and figured I would try it out since it was near my home. I was pleasantly surprised when I called that I was able to get an appointment the same day. Their intro massage is only $59- awesome deal! (regularly $99 if you are not a Wellness Program member.) Nichole greeted me when I arrived and was very friendly. My massage therapist was Marian, or better known as Sassy. She was Ah-Mazing!!! Probably the best massage I've ever had...and I've had a lot of massages. Joining their Wellness Program would definitely be worthwhile if you get massages monthly. My first experience was good, but my second experience was excellent!!! I get very bad knots that give me headaches, but can't afford massages regularly. So when do get a massage I'm looking for someone who is really good at deep tissue, and a good listener. ELEMENTS is the massage place to go in general and Michael Lewitter in particular is quite talented, especially if you are experiencing any overuse or repetitive motion injuries or discomfort due to exercise. I've been to Elements Massage several times now and couldn't be more satisfied. I even joined their Wellness Club to ensure I get my fix on a regular basis! In my treatments, Michael used a variety of massage techniques to reduce the tension in my neck, shoulders, back, hips, and calves. He also gave me tips for improving my posture and range of motion. I like that you do not have to select a particular kind of massage- the massage therapists here will use techniques from the various styles of massage that they are trained in to help soothe, heal, and restore your body. You simply have to lie down on the table, breathe, and relax. I truly look forward to going every time I book an appointment. The therapists and staff are friendly, highly professional and knowledgeable, the facility is clean and calming, and it is very easy to schedule an appointment.
