We are so glad we walked in here on a whim!! It didn't take us very long to get seated (at 2 pm on a summer Wednesday). They told us 20 minutes but it was definitely less because we had barely gotten the drinks we had ordered from the bar when they called us back. We had a GREAT view of the falls from where we were sitting! One member of our party had to sit at an angle, but nothing too awkward. Our waitress was really great! Recommendations: The artichoke spinach dip -- probably the best I've ever had! It only came with 8 or so pieces of bread, but she brought us more! The fish and turkey sandwiches were very good, as well. Don't get a mojito - it wasn't well mixed but all other drinks we ordered were great. Overall, we were really satisfied! Atmosphere and food were underwhelming. The only draw this place has is the amazing view of the falls. The salmon entree was partially cold and the wild rice was severely undercooked. The chicken Parmesan was vegetables thrown on top of the chicken with undercooked ravioli. Our server was quite responsive, but could not make up for the lack of skill the cook had. I just want to clarify that the prices at this restaurant are far above that of two dollar signs as in the description. It should actually be priced in the $$$$ category. Lunch in tourist central? Not shabby. We generally prefer to go outside the tourist areas, but we had a coupon and were ravenous. Food? Nothing to write home about, but not bad. I had the buffalo burger (a Canadian specialty, it said), which in itself was tasty, but a bit dry. The bread it came on was stale and pretty awful, but the fresh delicious toppings made up for it, and turned it into a fine fork and knife burger. My husband had the Mac n cheese.... I missed the roasted red peppers it was supposed to have, and was hit in the face with the thyme near where the sprig was put (decoration), but it was otherwise alright. Service was sparse, but the food came insanely quickly so we didn't care. Prices were what you'd expect at a tourist trap... About $18 for ANY entree on the lunch menu. Views? Spectacular. We had no reservations and came in at peak lunch time, so we were put at a high top in the back, furthest from the windows. The views even from there were amazing. The food was ok but we would not have gone there if the prices were listed properly on the Yelp site. Once we sat down we considered leaving but everyone was hungry. A two minute walk to Johnny Rockets would have gotten us better burgers and been 1/2 the cost. Server was very friendly, restaurant was clean and menu was well rounded. Stopped for lunch after being outside enjoying the Falls for a few hours, in February. Walking in with the rushing water coming towards you at eye level was amazing. I got the Luna long Island tea (twice) and my husband drank Molson (more than twice). I enjoyed the butternut squash soup and my husband had the buffalo wrap and fries. We sat side by side in awe of the view and the snow squalls that blew through. I ended with a coffee drink, the B-52, it was tasty and warmed me up before heading out again. My husband and I were both very pleased to get last minute reservations here for dinner, though I suppose the freezing temps and falling snow made it a bit easier than it would be in better weather. Despite the mist freezing on the windows, the view was breathtaking. We both had flights, beer for him and white wine for me, and ordered if the very reasonably priced Pre Fixe menu. My Butternut Squash Bisque was creamy and delicious. He had the artichoke dip, we he really enjoyed as well. We both had the steak with mashed potatoes and veggies. The veggies were nice and crisp, which was perfect for me. My husband would've preferred his cooked a little more. The steak was thin, but had a good flavor and was cooked as we asked. We both also had the cheesecake for dessert. It wasn't the best I've ever had, but it was really good. Service was reasonable and the staff was friendly. The worst front desk ever. I went in and found a group of people waiting at the door but the tables are mainly empty. So I asked front desk excuse me are you open yet? Do I have to wait in that line? The person at front desk said one word "no" and then lowered her head. No welcome, no clear explanation. They just left me there. After 15 seconds I asked again, this time she said "I told you you don't have to wait you can go in." We decided to eat here for for the view of the falls, the best there is. Our expectations were low expecting to pay for the view, but honestly we were both surprised and impressed with the food. Wife got the dry aged ribeye, it was the best steak I've ever had. And yes I've eaten at many steak houses, and most pod them are a disappointment, as I'd rather cook my own as it would be much better. But the favor of the meat, tenderness of the steak and the pairing of the sauce was a religious experience. I got the rainbow trout, once again flavorful and excellent sauce. I feel the price was right on, even a little low for the quality and view. I didn't know this place was here. We happened on it because we wanted to see the beginning of one of the waterfalls (we really wanted to, so much so, that we braved the rain that day, June 28, 2013). After the breathtaking view we came and ate here and our actual experience enhanced the natural beauty of the spectacle that was happening right outside the window. The service was great, the food was awesome, and the view...nothing short of amazing. Try the local ale and the bison burger, but don't leave without trying dessert. The view was fantastic! The food was good (we had todays soup-tomato, pasta chicken and caeser salad). The prices were ok. The waitress was really sweet but really a bad waitress! She didnt get the dishes from the starters so it was standing there while eating the maincourse and afterwards. She almost poured the whole bottle of White wine in our glasses, so it was like drinking half a bottle wine. Kind of wierd. And she was not very observant. I was surprised to see this place only receiving three stars. Sure, it's a little pricey, but the food is good and the view is unbelievable. It's definitely worth it. The Great Lakes fish sandwich was great and had trout and kale slaw. They also have a maple syrup cheesecake and a good beer list. But the view of the Horseshoe Falls can't be beaten. We had lunch at Elements today and I was blown away by both the food and the staff! I travel a ton for business all over and have high standards (also lived in SF and Napa Valley, and live with a chef). My Mom has some food allergies and our server actually had the executive chef come to our table to discuss, and he made her a special sandwich. My salad and entree were sophisticated and well executed. We're going back tomorrow night for dinner after such a great experience. Oh and the view is of course amazing! As for the handful of less than stellar reviews here for this place... listen, if you eat anywhere in the middle of heavy tourist season and expect perfection, or on a holiday like New Year's Eve, Valentine's Day or Mother's Day - you are not a very savvy diner! This place is a disappointing "establishment." I asked for a plain juice, and the waitress said that they ONLY had Ocean Spray, or from a pre-made overly sweet mix, which is very disappointing. I can conclude none other than whoever runs this place, doesn't care about the quality of the drinks they serve, and wants to save money by serving overly sweet, low quality drinks. This place is a tourist trap. Besides the actual water fall, the immediate area around Niagara Falls is wasteland. It's sad that people build low quality, and careless establishments around beautiful natural wonders, for the sake of making money. I was anticipating very mediocre overpriced food but the food was actually delicious! Call ahead and make sure to get a table right at the window so you'll have the best view of the light display for the falls. I had the ravioli and seafood platter which was absolutely amazing. Came for the food, stayed for the view! The view is unmatched! We sat right by the window overlooking the falls (meters from the falls itself). Ask to be seated by the window and they will oblige (expect a 20 mins wait time). It can get crowded during lunch time. Food is okay. Nothing exceptional. Creme Brulee was nice. read more

This restaurant was one the best meals we had in Niagara. We thought that it would be over priced (like every other place in Niagara), but it was actually cheaper to have a great lunch here, than an eh breakfast at IHOP. We had lunch here while visiting the Canadian side of Niagra Falls. The food was good. I loved their Ceasar salad. The view of the falls is great and you are right there just a little more elevated. Definitely consider this as an alternate to the revolving restaurant. My issue with that one was the fact that we were there to see Niagra Falls, but half of the time you'll be revolving around to see the other part of the city. To be fair I was with a large group, it was pretty busy and there were only two servers in my section so that's why the food took forever to come. It was good though. The view of the falls is amazing from any seat in the house. I had the most thoughtful server Erika. My husband and I decided to stop here for a beverage at about 4 pm on a Sunday evening. The restaurant overlooks the falls and we weren't planning to stay long. The restaurant wasn't busy maybe 6 tables were full in the whole restaurant. We asked the hostess if we could sit by a window as there were plenty of open tables.we were told that unless we were eating dinner we were not supposed to be seated there. I told the hostess we were not planning on staying long , but she said it was the rule ..so I said well what if we wanted to look at dinner menus, she let out an exasperated sigh , threw her hands up stomping to the table saying "whatever, I don't care". Once seated my husband ordered a beer, and I ordered a dirty martini. That martini was soooooo dirty I couldn't drink it (sad day for me) . I told the waitress and she offered to have the bartender Sue fix it for me . She fixed it by adding water to my straight up martini :( now I had a dirty drowning martini ). The waitress Christine returned with our check ..my martini was untouched and she left it on the check (????) It was only when the bill was paid and I complained a little more did she get the manager who was bussing tables , and never once did I see him approach a table to ask if everything was ok, to take the drink off the check. Where do I begin? The short of it: avoid this place, the food is terrible, the service is worse. The only redeeming quality to that establishment is the location. We were three couples with our children - 3 children in total - taking a break for a light dinner. Our children have been to restaurants before and understand proper manners; however, the same is not true for the restaurant crew. The service - The welcome crew were not welcoming at all. We stood at the front for a while until the staffer figured out that they could accommodate our group in their largely empty restaurant. He didn't check with anyone or leave the desk, just stood there looking indifferent at a piece of paper. He might have been a bar staffer, but he certainly seemed like a fish out of water. When we were brought to our table, the view was fantastic and for a while, I thought perhaps that person at the entrance was just having a bad day...until our waitress arrived. She looked like she had an even worse day and was planing to take it out on us. We weren't given enough menus; she was snappy, unhelpfully, and rude. After begrudgingly taking our order, our drinks and food arrived...instantly. The food - the food's temperature, taste, texture and presentation were all tragically flawed. I honestly have never tasted food this bad. Firstly, this food was not prepared when we ordered it. The pasta was cold, everything else was luke warm, including my "fresh" pineapple juice. Secondly, everything had a horrible aftertaste. The vegetable spring rolls tasted like they were fried in fish oil. Avoid the shrimp as well as most of their entrees. First off there is nothing fresh about this food, don't be fooled by the fresh fruit and sprig of thyme....yup it goes on everything. Thai chicken starter -frozen chicken tenders with some red sauce and sesame seeds....gross, then came macaroni and cheese...can you say wet noodles with a bit of cheese on top....no flavor just watery noodles, the warm salmon salad....dried out fish on under cooked vermiccili with a bagged salad under that.
