I came here and got a high fade from a guy named Brian. The cut was clean and he did what I asked him to do. Solid cut. I'll definitely be coming back. See below for review. Shop: the shop was pretty clean. They do a good job of making sure their clients are comfortable. I heard them offer everyone water or ask them what they wanted to watch on the TVs or what music should be played. The essence of a barbershop is all about the comfortable element- and they do a good job of that. Five stars for the shop for sure. Haircut: I thought Brian did a really good job on my hair. I laid out specific instructions for him and some particulars that I like and he did a good job of doing just that. He finished me up with a cool down and offered to wash my hair which was nice of him. Five stars for the hair cut too. Overall: this is a good barbershop for West Covina!! You don't expect things like this out in that area so to have such a good experience was surprising. I was expecting much when I went in for a quick hair cut but I was pleasantly surprised. I came in today because I was driving by and saw their huge flag out front. I was coming back home from breakfast and decided I needed a haircut once I saw the banner that was waving outside. I didn't even know this place was here! As a walk-in, they were great at accepting me right away, which was nice. A lot of shops are appointments only these days. A barber named Israel sat me right down and gave me a fade. It was quick and clean. The TV's with the surround sound was a nice touch, though it was playing a little loud it made me apprehensive to speak to Israel and get to know him. I like barbershop conversations. The owner was very friendly toward me though which gave me the warm barbershop vibe that I like. I'll most likely be back here seeing how their price isn't too high, and it is right down the street from me. It's a new shop and it looked like they were having a meeting on how to make the shop better, so they get a 4 star from me. I was scrolling through yelp to find a barbershop this weekend. I needed something that was close to where I was and for a decent price. I've been getting charged way too much for haircuts lately. Barbers are really starting to charge an arm and a leg. But not Elevate. My hair cut was absolute fire. Confirming that this will be my new place to get a hair cut. It only took about 30 minutes from a guy named Josh. He knocked it out of the park. He even gave me the line up on the house because we connected so well. He gave me some pomade in my hair agate to style it too. The price is only $20-$25 for a full haircut! Crazy hard to find that these days. I hope to be back here again soon. This shop has slowly become part of my life. After coming here since January I think I'm finally ready to vouch for it fully. This is hands down the coolest barbershop I've been to in a long time. I've switched up a lot in the past but I think I'll be good here for a while- assuming they keep up this great pace. I heard about the place thru some friends of mine and they recommended it. Brian who is my barber is super down to earth and a young professional. You can tell he's a perfectionist and puts that into his craft. Got to love it. I came here for a haircut a couple of weeks ago. I called in an hour before they closed and they were more than happy to take me in for a walk I'm appointment. I don't have a lot of criteria when it comes to my haircut, but I really liked how they cut my hair. It is very reasonably priced at $20 for a men's haircut. The guys are super friendly and know what they are doing. I would come back again, and probably make an appointment next time, just so I'm not cutting it close to closing time. Last time i got a haircut at the barbershop i spent $20 on a haircut that i did not like. Today i stopped by goodwill which was right next to elevate barbershop to pick up a hollweeen costume for a party im going to tonight and didnt have time to go back towards my area to get a haircut so i gave this place a shot. By far the cleanest fade ive ever got. Paid and extra $5 dollars then i did the last time i got a haircut, only this time i left with a big smile on my face. Was looking around the area for a barbershop and came across this place for my little brother. I was expecting just a basic barbershop. But as i walked in, It was more than what i expected. Uly is crazy good with the clippers, he is incredibly funny and knows how to keep a conversation. The shop itself is BEAUTIFUL, neon lights underneath the couches, mirrors, and TV with chandeliers Is a great touch. Josh (the owner) is very helpful and involved. This barbershop is hands down the best in Covina. Josh is a master of cutting hair. It's always hard for me to find someone that can cut Asian hair and he did a fantastic cut. He did a great job cleaning up my facial hair as well. I'm very happy with his work and you won't be either. read more
