Small dive bar feel.. close to the hotel we stayed about 1.5 miles away. We got the adult grill cheese it was good. Service was good considering she's like the only one running the show.

My fam of 4, including my kiddos ages 8 and 4, had dinner this evening after a day of hiking. Holly was our server and she was fantastic. Super friendly, helpful and polite. We sat on the patio and our pup was welcomed. Holly even brought her a water bowl, much appreciated. Kids ordered: chicken fingers with fries and cheeseburger with fries. They both enjoyed their food. No complaints from our boys! My husband and I split wings. We had hot and teriyaki. They were great. He said the Hot was not terribly hot, so if you want HOT order up. We also split the southwest wrap, but,got chicken instead of steak. No complaints. The rosemary fries were awesome! The rosemary was not overbearing. Excellent. Perfect pub style food. Easy going atmosphere. Kid friendly during dinner hours. They are super affordable. Not 2 $$ We most definitely will be back!

I recently watched a couple of football games here with the boyfriend. The awesome bartender Adrienne (not sure on spelling?) made sure both of the games we wanted to watch were on the TVs nearest to us. She asked as soon as we got seated, we really appreciated such great service! The cheap tall boys, pulled pork tacos, and the Old Faithful burger definitely satisfied our game day cravings. I subbed NC vinegar sauce on the tacos and ended up asking for extra hot sauce on the side. Glad I asked because together both sauces made a great combo. His classic style burger was huge and tasty. The boyfriend devoured it in flash! While this place is close to campus, it is not overrun with crazy amounts of ASU students. At least on this particular Sunday, the crowd consisted of a low key fun local crowd enjoying some quality football on 3333's nice spread of TVs.

Pimento cheese burger and crispy tots...seriously perfect.

But I wiggled my vehicle into a tight spot and went in for a burger and a beer. I believe there were about 10 to 12 options available on tap, and I went with what was listed as an Irish stout from somewhere in the Northeast. It wasn't bad, though it seemed more like an imperial stout. My sandwich choice was the Cowboy, with ground elk at its core. It was a good choice too, and the accompanying fried onions and melted cheese complemented the meat well. I ordered the burger medium, but I think I'd go for medium rare if I could go back in time. The medium option wasn't bad, but I think a little less heat and a little more moisture would only make things better. I kept things simple with the side item, going for the fries which were of the thinly sliced McDonald's variety, not bad but nothing remarkable. The server covering my table was pleasant and prompt, though soft spoken so I occasionally had to ask her to repeat herself amidst the music and noise. I wouldn't call any of these selections a bargain, but the prices didn't veer too far from what you'll find in many burger joints. All in all, not an earthshaking experience, but a place I'd be willing to go back to. 3.5 stars.

My wife and I was were welcomed in by the hostess and seated quickly. It's not a huge space, but they've got a good bit of seating, and a little more upstairs, which allows you to look down into the brewery. Our server, Alex was very friendly and offered some beer recommendations based on our preference. They had a good variety to pick from and even some canned to go. Their food menu also offered a good selection. My wife and I decided to share an order of loaded fries to start, and then the "white buffalo" pizza. I enjoy white pizza, and enjoy buffalo chicken pizza...but this was the first time I've ever seen them together. The food was great, everything, tasted really good, and had good flavors. The Game Day IPA and Lost Province IPA's were both also very tasty Being a Friday night, they had a live musician, playing great music, which we really enjoyed while we ate and took in the atmosphere. I'd pass this recommendation on as well, and would return to try some of their other varried menu next time I visit Boone

We stopped at South End Brewing for lunch and loved the cozy, laid-back vibe. I tried a pumpkin beer while Steve went for an espresso martini--both were fantastic choices for a fall afternoon. Since portions are usually huge when traveling and we don't like carrying leftovers, we decided to share the Tuna Poke Power Bowl ($20). It came with quinoa and spring mix as the base, topped with edamame, cucumbers, guacamole, cabbage, crispy wontons, and fresh ahi tuna. It was flavorful and beautifully presented, though I honestly couldn't find much quinoa--it felt more like a salad than a grain bowl. Still, everything tasted fresh, the service was wonderful, and the prices were very reasonable. Definitely a great spot to stop if you're exploring Boone!

The Tuna Poke Nachos were incredible, almost comparable to the ones at Yard House, and the Flounder Sandwich was also a tasty choice. However, there were a couple of misses. The Smash Burger wasn't very flavorful and definitely needed a bit more sauce to bring it to life. I also grabbed a Caesar salad, but the croutons were a little weird and personally weren't my favorite. The service was standard and got the job done, but overall, it's a nice spot I'd visit again for the nachos alone.

In a town that is geared…read moretowards tourists (I'm a resident), and where one restaurant tries to outdo the other, this restaurant is sorely lacking, in everything from wait staff to food. What they do have is a lot of different types of beer. So I guess if you just want a beer with tasteless food then this is the place to go. My friend and I had lunch at around 12 noon. There were literally only four other tables with a few people. Our waiter came to take our order and basically gave the impression that he wishes he was anywhere other than in this restaurant working. Not even a smile or a hello how are you doing? He was truly uncaring and answered us in half syllables when we had questions about the menu. OK whatever -/so we ordered a burger and the turkey Gruyère sandwich. At $19 for a burger (most other places in Blowing Rock charge around 12) and another 19 for a turkey sandwich you would expect at least french fries or coleslaw as a side. The sides are potato chips ( how cheap can you get) or green beans?????? if you want anything else like a side salad or fruit you have to pay an additional five dollars. Literally every other restaurant in town that serves sandwiches or burgers gives you a choice of several sides that come with the meal . But here a hamburger with a side of fruit was $23. Our waiter never came back to check on us, but another waitress did come a couple times and filled my tea glass with ice and asked us how everything was and brought samples of the beer. Thank you to whoever that was. Wish you could have been our waitress. Because our waiter was so unconcerned about waiting on us that he apparently forgot we were there. After a half an hour of not receiving our food in a restaurant that was mostly empty, I flagged him down and asked him what happened to our food. He said he would go and check on it. He came back and said that ours was the next ticket up.!! so basically this waiter held onto our ticket and then got reminded that he had to actually put it in for us to get our food. So we waited another 10 minutes. The burger was so tiny you practically needed a magnifying glass to see it. Burned to a crisp because of course the waiter also forgot to ask how we wanted it cooked. We like it medium rare, and definitely not charred and well done. The Turkey sandwich with Gruyère was just some turkey slices and I'm assuming gruyere cheese which I couldn't really taste. The whole sandwich was definitely forgettable. So that's my review. I still gave the waiter 10% tip, which he did not deserve. He did not deserve a tip at all. Needless to say, will never be back at this restaurant again. Nor will I ever recommend it. Because lunch for almost $60 for two people with two disgusting sandwiches was obscene.

She started off spilling our drinks on our napkins and silverware. I had to ask her to bring us more napkins. When she did, she didn't bring enough for the table and put them on top of the soaked napkins. I had to wipe up the table myself. I asked for no parsley on my mashed potatoes, but there was more parsley on my potatoes than anyone else's at the table. I also asked for extra sautéed mushrooms. She brought them out in a plastic container which she had placed on my sizzling hot plate, which caused it to melt and no doubt leech microplastics into my food. I asked for no onions and there were a few onions mixed in with the mushrooms. The chicken tasted different than usual, like the bourbon wasn't cooked out enough. I asked her if she could ask to have the music turned down because it was blaring. I couldn't hear the people sitting at my table over the music. She said she'd ask but nothing changed. She never took any used plates away from the table so we started running out of room. When she finally brought us refills, she overfilled my cup, and spilled a bit of my drink on my shoe. Didn't apologize or anything. She never brought us the check. We had to ask her because we were paying in cash. Overall, she just really needs to find a different job if she's not even going to try to work for her tips. Also, the music shouldn't be as loud as a night club in a dine-in restaurant. I shouldn't have to shout to be heard by my table. The music was even louder in the bathroom. Just not sensory friendly, and all the toilets were dirty, and the floor was sticky.
