Very upsetting we bought my husband a pair of pants from Hawaii and at the bottom was string to tie. When my husband bought them in he needed them to be a little shorter. When we picked up they had taken the string out and told us they can not fix their error nor asked to replace the pants they made an error on. It's funny to see she has either 5 stars or one star reviews. Her work is very good and she is busy however her attitude can come off as not friendly. She reminds me of the Soup nazi on Seinfeld. She really doesn't care if you come back or not cause her work is good and she has no shortage of customers. Also demonstrated by her cash only policy. She will not pay for bank fees so she can keep prices low. Jean hem $10 and hem looks original I have no problem with her attitude as long as she does good work at a reasonable price. She is just a no nonsense person I prefer this rather to someone who is nice but charges more and takes weeks to get the work done. Well... let me start with the positives. You can get your clothes altered rather quickly. I took in my pants and was told I could get them next day. Each pant hem was $10 (even though I noticed after the window said $7. If you need something rather quickly, I would suggest coming here. Just know they are cash only. But as elated as I was for a quick turnaround, I didn't get quality work. I might be a little more judgemental because I sew myself. I took two types of materials (a loose flowy one and denim). While the hems on the loose pants were fine, the hem line was uneven. Not noticeable unless you look hard or know what to expect. The denim... well let's just say if I had uneven legs I would be fine. Unlike a loose fabric, denim is not as forgiving when done unevenly. For denim, a denim thread should be used bc it should be thicker and made of cotton on hems that are meant to last wear and tear. Instead what I picked up was a single stitch done in nylon thread. Not only uneven but also undone. I noticed it once I got onto the car but didn't want to go back in to complain until I tried them on at home. All these things will look unnoticeable when the clothes are worn, but I know from sewing myself, that these mistakes are very noticeable and lack quality. Other than having the convenience of getting your clothes back quickly, I would not bring clothes that are less forgiving of these sewing mistakes. Spend the extra money to take pricier things elsewhere and ask what type of stitching will be done. Never again will I expect a seamstress to know what I expect. read more

This is my goto for all my alterations. Mrs Elisa has a gift. She has really helped me out with my clothes. All my life, I've had a small waistline and an ample lower end. I've always gotten bottoms that fit my lower end, but they never fit my waist. I've always used a belt to pull in the slack around my waist. But now that I've lost 20lbs, it's gotten much worse. Mrs Elisa has altered at least 5 pairs of pants and two jumpsuits for me. The pants fit like they were made for me. And I pick up the jumpsuits next week. Hopefully, they will turn out well also. So I took a custom ordered Jacket that I ordered that came from Japan to have a zipper fixed and also asked about fixing some of the material on it she she rudely talked told me I won't do that you just buy new jacket!! Way over charged me for the zipper repair and refused any other service.. then all of a sudden said she would do some of the material but in a different color totally messing up the Jacket and wanted to charge me over $75.000 and would take next day to finish as she was tired and would close early. She was just beyond rude. I passed and took it to a different place they were happy for my service and fixed what I wanted done and only charged me $48.00 in total. And same day service. I would avoid this place at all cost! I brought a cotton maxi dress in for her to simply shorten the length and close a slit a bit that was too high. When I picked it up, the hem was asymmetrical and the dress was unwearable. I brought it back and she said she would fix it. When I came back in, she said she could not fix it and would not be refunding me any money. She blamed me for wanting the alterations in the first place-like what?! I had my brother take my son there just to get sized for a suit for a wedding that he is part of in California and the lady there was so rude. My son is bigger than most kids his age and she made him feel really uncomfortable and self conscious about it by commenting on his size saying "wow you're a big boy" in a rude tone. It bothered him so much that he asked if there was something wrong with his size once he got home . I sent him there to get measurements not your opinion. I took two pairs of pants in to be hemmed. I tried on one pair for her to mark and paid $14.00. Upon picking them up they were at least a 33 inch inseam and I am no more than a 30 inch inseam. I took them back to her and asked her to redo them at the correct length. I brought 7 additional pair of pants to be hemmed at 30 inch inseam. She charged me $63.00 and $14.00 was to fix her incorrect length. Upon picking up my pants, they all measuring at a 33 inch inseam and when I showed her, "you have to pay again, because not my fault." I would never recommend this woman to anyone! My pants are Ralph Lauren at a cost of $150.00 per pair, which is immaterial, however, this woman has no clue of how to measure. I wish that I could give her a negative one! read more

I gave this place 3 tries. main lady was so rude to me every time. last time when i went i needed a button fixed and she told me "Go find a man to do that" and threw the pants at me. I went for the last time a couple of days ago to get two pants hemmed to 30 inches. They were men's pants and both said 34x32 and she was arguing with me about how they were already 30 inches. Elisa was absolutely amazing, I've lost about 40lbs, so I had her alter a few pants and replaced a few buttons I was missing as well. She made me try on each pants and pinned them which I was supervised a lot of placed just measure you and that's it. She called me back in a timely manner stating they were done, once agin she made sure I tried them on and was satisfied. I've gone to a few places and have gotten ripped off. Super rude customer service. She seems annoyed when you come in, I had to say hello to get her attention bc she couldn't even look up to acknowledge me when I walked in. She had me try on my dress and I pointed out that I wanted it tighter from the waist area and her response was: "TIGHTER????!" She charged me $25 to take it in from the sides a few inches. When I came to pick it up the new seam was literally right next to the old one not even a centimeter apart it literally made NO difference whatsoever. This is the worst alterations I have ever seen. DO NOT take clothing to this lady. Not only did she ruin a brand new dress by sewing it crooked, the seams were sewn with two different color threads, for $35 you would think she would take the time to change the bobbin tread to match the top tread. If I could give no stars at all, believe me I would. This is the most unprofessional business I have ever been at. I brought a skirt in with a broken zipper to see how much it would cost to repair. Older lady first stated $7 to repair but then said $12 if she need to replace zipper. Pick up skirt a few days later and she only charges me $7 saying that she repaired it and not replaced since she didn't have an 8 inch zipper but that it's fixed now. Ok, so get home and try it on and oh my!! Still broken zipper that won't zip up. Go and request a refund and only gives me $5 back. When I reminded her I payed her $7, slams the rest on the counter!! How rude! All she had to do is tell me that she couldn't fix it since she didn't have the zipper required...but don't tell me you "repaired" it and chargeme when it's not fixed. This was the worst customer service experience I've ever had. So I drop off two items to have a zipper replaced and some holes sewn up in the second item. I asked whatever price you would charge to do the repairs and happily paid her. When I came back to pick up she try to charge me an additional $20 because she said that the material was leather. First of all it definitely was not leather considering I only pay $10 for the item. But more importantly you can't charge me one price and then turn around and try to charge me again. I was being very nice and polite and then she tried to taunt me by grabbing a loose string and saying well I can just re-pull the string out of it so they can have a new hole. I was mortified! Worst experience EVER. I went to get a zipper replaced on a jacket. I believe this is the owner I was speaking with. She said it would cost 28.00 to replace zipper - I said that was fine. I would just like it fixed.She mumbles to herself and said she could do something else to repair the zipper. i just wanted it fixed. I picked it up today at which point she gave me instructions on how to zip up the zipper. There was something all over the zipper, I asked her what that was and she said soap. I should have known then that this was not going to work. But I paid her 18.00 anyway. Brought home, washed the jacket, unzipped the zipper and it broke. Pieces of the zipper broke off. So I came back with in four hours and said I wanted my 18.00 back at which point she began to yell at me that she fixed it and I broke it and it was my fault and she would not return my money.
