I went here to get my lash extensions removed. The lady was really nice when I first came in, but once she put the remover on my lashes, she went straight onto TikTok Live and basically stopped paying attention to me. The remover was left on way too long, and at one point she came over and rubbed it into my lashes with her bare fingers. After sitting there for around 15 minutes, I finally had to call her over and ask how much longer it would be. She then started removing my lashes rather aggressively and got the remover in my eyes. It burned so badly that I couldn't keep bear it and had to sit up and it was just awful and i was cursing and all this things because of how bad it was. She tried wiping it away with a wet cotton pad, but it just made the burning worse (mixing the water and the BURNING solution into my eye). I ended up having to go into their bathroom to rinse my own eyes out, and the bathroom was honestly disgusting so that sucked too. The craziest part is she didn't even remove all of my lash extensions. She charged me $25 like everything was fine and didn't apologize once. I sat in my car for a few minutes, and the more I thought about it, the more I realized I shouldn't have paid for a service that wasn't even completed and left me in so much pain. I went back inside to ask for a refund, and she immediately started arguing with me. She kept saying the burning was "normal." I've had my lashes done and removed before, and this was way beyond normal irritation. Her only solution was to have me sit back down so she could finish removing them, which I obviously wasn't comfortable with after what had just happened.When I asked to speak to someone else, she said she was the manager. She just stood there asking me what I wanted, and when I asked for a refund, she shrugged and refused. I honestly don't know if they're properly trained or certified to be doing lash removals. Leaving chemicals on while you're distracted on TikTok Live, using your bare hands around someone's eyes, and sending someone home with lashes still on after getting remover in their eyes is completely unacceptable. I definitely won't be coming back and will be escalating this issue to the city. Such a terrible attitude for 25 dollars, they must be desperate. read more

I have thick eyebrows I usually maintain them myself to keep the natural. First of all the woman who did them I had no clue what she was doing. There was no shaping involved . She removed the end of my one eyebrow making it bald tail . The worst part is when I pointed it out to her she acted like she didn't know what was the problem all of a sudden and she couldn't speak English they definitely is a language barrier . The WORST experience I have ever had in regards to customer service. If you want to get your lashes done in a respectful place, this place is not for you. I called ahead to make an appointment for lash extensions. When I got there the lady was threading another customers eyebrows. I waited for 10 mins which was fine. When I finally got seated and she started, a customer walked in . The technician left me to take care of this customer and told the walk-in to sit in the 2nd chair and she can do their eyebrows right now, in the middle of my service. She left me hanging several times with glue on my lashes to take care of either the walk-in customers eyebrows, or left to schedule service with another walk-in. I even overheard her say to the walk-in to come at 5.00PM, she has an appointment with a regular, but the customer is nice and so can wait very unprofessional. I told her I was tight on time and I scheduled this appointment, and would like my service completed before she takes care of the walk-in customer. She was not happy that I told her this and she rushed to finish my lashes. She said this is how we do it and we accept walk-ins. I still tipped her but I'll never go back there. I usually get my eyebrows done at Beauty Castle on Belmont, but I was in a pinch and couldn't get an appointment so I walked here since it's close to my house and had decent reviews. Big mistake that I'll never make again. The price of a wax ($8) shouldve been a red flag but I took my chances. The first thing I noticed when I sat down was how dusty all the counter surfaces were and the floor clearly hadn't been swept or mopped in quite some time. Then the wax used on my face was luke warm at best. The process itself was no more painful than usual, but when she started using a cotton pad to clean off the brows I felt an intense pain on my right brow. I squealed and asked if I had a cut there and she said no, my skin is just sensitive. I opened my eyes and saw blood on the pad and asked if I was bleeding, she said no. After looking in the mirror I saw that I was very red in that spot and she assured me that my skin is just "too sensitive" and told me to use aloe when I get home. By the time I got home there was plasma dripping down my eyelid and the pain was intense. I googled what happened and found out that wax that isn't warm enough tears the skin. I've been here twice. Just left an appointment with Samreen and all the stars are for her! I came in for a leg and bikini wax but then decided to do a full body to get rid of dead skin cells. Let me just first say, Rashi the one and only employee there is amazing. She literally runs the whole entire store and is a jack of all trades but not sure if she's a master of eyelashes. The shop is clean and the prices are decent. Brows $8 and lashes was $75 for fills. Parking our front is easy but metered. She is amazing at eyebrows and really does a fantastic job! My eyebrows looked natural and I wasn't in pain from the threading. But my experience with eyelashes hmmm were not as great. I usually go to a shop that only does eyelash and the quality of the eyelashes were thick and heavy. Sure they looked great at first but the glue was thick and the eyelashes were coarse. It didn't look natural nor were they even in the way they were placed. I think I'll be going back for eyebrows but probably will stick to my lash salons for lashes. Hope that helps! read more

Threading- subpar, but you can get by. They don't properly clean your brows so when you get home you'll notice you still have a unibrow. Eyelash extensions- so first off they lie and say they last months if you take care of them. Obviously as someone who has gotten their lashes done in the past I knew there was no way. I was getting my lashes done here from September to January. And at first they looked great. Lots of compliments. The second to last time I got my lashes done she let me know I would need to get them removed and get new set. So she would be charging me for the removal and a brand new set. Fast forward to my last appointment. It was on NYE and I was running late which upset Aimee(sp?) understandable. So instead of telling me she didn't have enough time for my appointment she decides to do my lashes and she said I didn't have to remove my previous set anymore. The whole time she's talking and helping her coworker with another client. While I am laying there with my eyes taped shut. So uncomfortable. That night, my lashes were super uncomfortable, I didn't understand why since I've gotten my lashes done before by Aimee. They were poking my lid as well as falling off. The next day was 1/1/22 (Saturday)so they were obviously closed. They're usually open on Sunday, but they closed for the weekend due to the holiday. They don't open Monday's so by Tuesday when I go back in Aimee says too much time has passed and that she will charge me to fix them. She says they don't guarantee their work and or the lash service. And that no place will guarantee their lash service. So rather than her making it right with me she would have rather lost a customer, gained a bad review and charged my $30 to "fix" my lashes which she only layered more lashes on top off my own. Therefore compromising my lashes. And even after the lashes she installed were poking my lids. After going to a professional lash artist I've learned that you are not required to remove a whole set and then get a whole new one. They also should not be glueing clumps of lashes onto your lash. As well as using as much glue as they do. This place requires an appointment for lashes but while you're laying there with your eyes taped shut they will take other clients that come in for threading. They are always offering "deals" and that should have been the first red flag. I've attached pics of the lashes I've now had professionally removed. read more

All I can say is my brows are more on fleek than ever! They had a deal for eyelash lift so I took it. The first try it wasn't great and I had called and told them my eyelashes went down. The lashes looked good when first done. But once my lashes starting growing out I noticed something was majorly wrong. I have gotten lash extensions many times and this has never happened to me. I always take care of my lashes as well. They started growing out and they began to make my eyelashes all itchy. I also noticed them falling out in chunks. I also noticed extreme natural lash loss. My eyes were so itchy because she didnt properly isolate the extensions and she used too much glue. When i got back home, my usual lash tech saw that my natural lashes were damaged and all glued and stuck together with no isolation. She removed the set and saw the natural lash damage. I'll start off by saying I have received Brazilians more times than I can count and by different people. This by far was the worst experience ever. The only reason I tried this place is because they said they were available at short notice. 1. when I arrived the last appeared to not know that I had an appointment scheduled and questioned me on my appointment twice; although, I have the confirmation in my messages. 2. the place was slightly dirty. the cover on the table i was to lay on was dirty, but it did have a clean paper sheet over it. the sticks were all in a pile onto of the table that was not clean and even the wax warmer needs cleaning. 3. through out the wax I was told to help pull my own skin as she yanked the wax paper off. usually I'm asked to do this when my behind is being waxed, but never with the front. 4. she kept using wax paper that already had wax on it that she just used on me to pull off more wax. this resulted in the paper not coming off when yanked. so, she had to keep pulling a few times on the same paper to get it off. 5. I asked her to stop multiple times and she kept insisting to continue saying "its not even red." I asked her over and over to just leave it that I do not want to continue. finally she sprayed something on me and still tried using the paper to finish. I left with a half Brazilian, bleeding in some parts, extremely swollen, red red, and wax all on. and in case I was told that it's lies. I made sure to take pictures. THEN... I WAS STILL CHARGED even though the job wasn't finished and there were so many things done wrong. I even told the lady I cant believe im being charged. TO EVERYONE: PLEASE DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND SKIP THIS PLACE. I would not want anyone going through the same experience as I did. read more

I was so happy my sister brought me here for my very first eyebrow threading!! It's too far from Evanston but worth it. The place was nice, clean, spacious, and professional. The outside may fool you but I didn't get the heebeegeebees sitting in their like some places I've been at. The lady that helped me was super nice and professional. I've never had my eyebrows shaped, so I was very happy with the result and she wasn't rude to my sister and I when we were trying to make sure it looks good. I really loved this place for eyebrows so much so that I suggested it to many people, however both they and I have had horrible experiences there since. My mom, who granted has relatively sensitive skin, explored with a facial here and her skin broke out in hives for the next week or so after. After this experience, I still wanted to give them another chance, and opted for a bikini wax before a vacation last June. The back room I was brought to had dirty sheets, but I let it slide. The woman who was working on me kept asking if I was OK after each strip she'd pull. I have a pretty high pain tolerance and said I was fine. After about 10 minutes of waxing (and her continuing to ask if I was alright), she stepped out of the room and brought in a colleague without even asking me. The two of them continued to investigate the situation and the new woman told me that there was some bruising. Mind you I'm half naked and the door of this back room is slightly ajar. Completely embarrassed, I say I'm fine and would like to be done (even though I still had hair down there). At check out, the owner offered me 10% my next waxing. This experience was completely humiliating and I will never return. Please do not offer services that you are not trained for. read more

Had my eyebrows threaded...I was the only customer there but it was very rushed and she didn't put any extra effort on doing them. When I got home and looked in my bathroom lighting there were A LOT of hairs I had to clean up myself that should have been removed at appointment. Immediately when my partner (who notices nothing I do) saw me he asked what happened to my eyebrows and advised I not go again. I really want to like this place because it's so conveniently located for me. I've had my eyebrows threaded and tinted here a couple of times now. The first time they looked great. The 2nd time my eyebrows were tinted a ridiculously dark shade, and now I look like a clown. I want to preface this next part by mentioning that I really loathe high pressure sales. Each time I've been here they've tried to upsell, repeatedly. Trying to add on more services, especially their $75 lash lift. I also have to mention that I hated having 1 of the techs tell me that castor oil would get rid of sparse spots on my eyebrows. I was also informed that my eyebrows are uneven, due to the way the hair grows(i.e. nothing can be done about it.) But I was assured castor oil would make my eyebrows perfect and make my eyelashes amazing. If this were true a pharmaceutical company would have a patent on it. Did I mention that they sell bottles of castor oil? I haven't had a lash lift, but I was assured it's ok to wear contact lenses during the procedure. This sounds awfully dodgy to me. I don't have any experiences getting a lash lift, but I do know most places will ask you to remove your contacts for a lash tint. I'd like this place so much more if I could come in for eyebrow threading and tint without being hassled to add on services. read more
