I had an appt. with RUBA and she said, please give me a chance, so I did. I had an appt. today for 10:30 am and thought I would give this place a try. Ruba did a marvelous job on touch up. She superceded my thoughts and even went the extra mile for me which I genuinely appreciated her gift of hair dressing. She cut my hair nicely and styled it. I asked if First Time people get any kind of discount and she said no. I did see that they gave 20% off in 2019, but not sure if that was a limited time or not. I liked what Ruba did, so I decided to stay with her since she understood what I needed. I have been ripped off at other salons where they charge double and I thought this salon had fair prices. I was quoted $35 on the phone, and was told that would cover the cut plus wash and style. I got my hair shampooed and cut in about 30 minutes. The stylist blow-dried my hair a little, and wrapped up the session with my hair still partially wet. I found this very odd, but I was in a rush so I followed her to the front to pay up. The stylist then tried to charge me $10 more because my hair was long and thick. That kind of info should've been shared when I first called to inquire. Because I was busy and out the rest of the day, I didn't really get a chance to examine my haircut until the following morning. I will spare you the details and the photos. I was in complete and utter shock by what the stylist had done. I called the salon right away to explain what happened, and was told a manager would reach back out. They offered to fix it and I obliged. Coming back to get my hair fixed was already an inconvenience because I had a packed schedule. A different stylist tried to salvage my hair, but the damage was done and some parts I just have to grow out. I originally wanted 2 inches off, but after everything, they ended up cutting off more than double. Having worked in customer service before, I expected the staff to be a little more sympathetic and apologetic. I was very unsatisfied by how the situation was handled.

However since it was my birthday I decided to get them threaded. I was in a rush and almost left but I'm glad I waited. There were 2 people in front of me but the woman that was doing the threading was pretty quick. She was on the phone while doing my brows, via her ear piece but that didn't affect her timing or quality. But I was confused when I thought she was talking to me and she wasn't. Anyway, I digress. She did a great job on my brows, I was happy when I got home and started to fill in my brows; it was quick and easy to fill in my brows because she did such a good job threading them. I even received a compliment from my friend on how she liked my brows. This place isn't near me at all so I'm not sure when I'll be back but I'm glad to know she's there if I ever need her. My friend and her 18 year old daughter go here to get their eyebrows threaded and it always looks so clean and natural in what seems like seconds! 5 star results for sure. Eyebrow threading is painless and beats waxing or tweezing any day! Now back to the "no flinching" My friend's daughter talked her dad into getting his done. He sat in the chair and the woman started to thread but because he kept flinching, his skin got caught by the thread and blood began to splurt all over the place!! Gross. Basically, the skin gets caught in the thread if you don't relax. A gazillion people get this done in seconds. Stay calm and you won't have to worry about ending up like rocky.
