They are not the same people that gained my loyalty, it's really a shame. Mike running the counter is dishonest, rude, and extremely unprofessional. He scams people for the business and refuses work that isn't convenient to them. So they installed my front struts Obviously wrong, left giant stickers across the top so they couldn't seat properly. When I brought it back to them they use the warranty and said the parts were bad and made Monroe eat the loss. Here's the thing though-Mike tried desperately begging me to come get my car at the end of that work day I brought it back. It was too late and I did not have a ride. I called in the morning to see about picking the car up and someone else answered the phone unaware of what Mike had done and said no they just pulled the your car in it hasn't been in till today. So had I picked up the car I'm assuming they had cut the stickers out with a razor knife it would have been no different no work done and I only had a few days left on my warranty which I believe he was counting on. And-bonus-they get to keep a pair of brand new Monroe's for the next guy-free to them So like I said he's scanning for the company. The other manager told me he believed it was a mistake and he had mixed up cars, But I was able to ask Mike separately and his story was that they had put the car in the shop replace the struts and it was ready that night somehow but then they had to pull the car back in and replace the struts again. I said you put three sets of struts in my car?!? He said "yep" I literally saw a mechanic that was in the room to the side of me laughing because I had caught him in a lie and he performed so badly He also signed my paperwork for me and I realize that as I drove it to Firestone to get all the work looked over because I don't trust them one iota. When I called him to ask why he signed my paperwork he just kept screaming "you don't know who I am" It was just a distraction so no one else would know that he did it. I know exactly who Mike is, he's the reason I will never return to a shop that I had recommended to many people, paid a bit extra a couple times because of loyalty and thinking that they did good work. He ruined telegraph location, moved on to ecorse and ruined that also. I first met him over 10 years ago with that original overpriced quote so there's no way they're employing this man for over a decade while he's constantly hustling, scamming, and harassing people without being completely complicit. They can't do the job right the first time or the second time they can't stick to the price that they originally say because he tried jumping the price by a hundred when the key hit his hand until I changed his mind. I had shocks and struts, put on at elite car care Two weeks later, I need more front end work done and took it to a mechanic Within 20 or 30 minutes of leaving the car at the mechanic they called me and told me my CV joint was stripped out whoever put it back on stripped it out and I should have a new one . NEW UPDATE JUNE 4, 2018: Three months later! Just when you've forgotten about trashy people and terrible businesses... It seems that the work done on my sister's car wasnt that great, since less than 3 months later the fuel pump went kaput and had to be fixed for free by this place. SOMEHOW, my sister got a message right after the car was dropped off to call the owner. She relayed concern that they were able to ascertain that her vehicle is affiliated with THIS review. Who wouldn't?! Who knows what kind of things they can do to harm her vehicle?! When she called him back, he tried to apologize for this mess and her vehicle. He implored her to ask me to take down the review!!! But TWIST!!! Super classy, intelligent and not at all looks like she does meth Trish was RIGHT in my inbox yesterday, saying, "haha your sister's car is back!" WTF, THIS IS CREEPY, RIDICULOUS, AND PERHAPS CRIMINAL!!! I called the shop immediately upon seeing the comment (still have NEVER responded to her since day 1 and the business NEVER ONCE responded to me. Owner says he did but NOPE, I would have absolutely reaponded) and asked for the owner. I said I wanted no one else. Nope, not there, okay I'll call back. Moments later I was called back by what I believe is Trish's husband asking, can *I* help with something?! NO, and why are you calling me when I just ended a phone call?!?! CREEPY, LACK OF BOUNDARIES. Then, this afternoon, I received a call from the owner. I had NOT left a message, my name, or my phone number. HOW IS THIS OKAY?!?! NOW THESE AWFUL PEOPLE HAVE A PHONE NUMBER I HAD FOR 18 YEARS. The owner tried to twist the story, make excuses as to why that family is still employed and affiliated with them, and justified called my phone number TWICE without me leaving it for anyone. I have an open complaint with the AG and Consumer Protection. DO NOT USE THIS BUSINESS!!!! THEY HAVE NO DECENCY, PROFESSIONALISM, BOUNDARIES, OR ETHICS. The owner wonders why I'm mad. Everything posted was personally witnessed by me.* ORIGINAL POST: My sister dropped off her vehicle via tow truck after it refused to start in Brownstown. When I went to pick it up a day and a half later, my father and I waited over 15 minutes at the front desk after an apathetic mechanic at the counter said he couldn't help us and the desk guy would be back shortly. Another young woman was waiting, we presumed another customer. When FINALLY a person emerged from the back, the young woman was discreetly handed something obviously illicit (closed fist, around the side of the computer, guilty looks as i met his gaze) and left, and we finally were able to begin to pay and check out. It took another 10 minutes to gather the paperwork and cash it out. Then, these guys LOST THE KEY. For ANOTHER inconvenient 15-20 minutes, every mechanic was looking all around the garage and front desk for the key. We wasted over half of an hour at this facility because of incompetence and probable substance abuse. When I finally got the key and went to leave in my sister's vehicle, the check engine light was on. They couldn't even do something as simple as turn the damn light off. I hope her car is fine (it felt a bit shaky after) so she doesn't have to go back. My father was a mechanic for decades and I grew up in garages, but man, this one was just bad. This is my first time putting energy into a review advising potential customer not to go there. But because of the horrible and unwelcoming service/consult I received from Elite Kar Care on Ecorse, this review was very necessary. I was turned away not once but twice without a mechanic even popping my hood first. On my second visit they took my keys however he drove my car around the back when all of the garage doors are in the front that was very rude and uncomfortable being an African-American woman trying to find a trusted mechanic. I don't know if it was because I am black or a woman, but no one deserves to be put off and treated unfairly. I was fast talked about what the issue was..but each time he( the new manager) tells me to come back in the morning both times I arrived. Women beware! read more

Elite Kar Care Location Visited 21244 Ecorse Rd. Taylor, MI 48180 I been driving my vehicle for about 3 years now and I have only needed a new battery and a oil change. I noticed changes in the way my vehicle was starting to respond such as when I place the key in the ignition it "acted" as it did not want to start. My vehicle would take 2-3 seconds to catch up and then I was able to drive. Although, I could drive smoothly on the road this alarmed me. It was brought to my attention that a headlamp on the passenger side was dim. I decided to go to autozone for a diagnostic and they recommended for me to get new sparks because the equipment they used did not respond. I wanted to see what was wrong with my vehicle right away, this was urgent, and I was nervous. Meanwhile, the holiday is coming up and I'm looking to see if my shop is open on a Friday after 6PM that I normally go to in Taylor MI. They are not, I noticed this Elite Kar Service at glance. I go into Elite Kar Service and requested for a diagnostic. I explained the things I was experiencing with my vehicle in detail. They said that they were busy, but advised me to bring my vehicle on a Saturday at 8 AM and it would be looked at soon, that is my best bet because I would be there at the store opening. This sounded good and I was all for it! I dropped off my vehicle, I reiterated the things that were wrong and the service guy over the counter was taking notes. The service guy, which I didn't catch his name because he speaks quickly over the phone nor did he introduce himself when I walked in, he asked did I have a ride home, if not then let him know and he will have his guy take me home. I thought this was a generous gesture because I never had someone take me back home. I outsourced and needed a ride back, I thought this would be a good deal because they can actually experience the things I mentioned that I noticed was wrong. (Yes, they drove my vehicle to take me home) Time went from 8AM-3PM and I had to keep calling to get a diagnostic completed. Your kidding me, it took 7 hours literally for them to finish my estimates. I got my estimates and WOW, did they overcharge and say the work is not the issue the parts are expensive. My first issue was a throttle body aftermarket and it costed $289 for the part in my SUV. I found a online place for this part exactly and a brand new one was only $100, a used one was $50. This is one thing I noticed that the quoted prices were ridiculous. Moving forward, I was ready to pick up my vehicle. As soon as I come back to pick up my car, I noticed the linen on the window seal was loose and I never had that occur before, I placed it back down and I decided to drive because I just wanted my vehicle back. My home is 20 mins away from the shop, I'm driving the first 10 mins it was driving ok and then it started to shake on the road. I called Elite Kar Service explaining that my vehicle is driving worst and the service man over the counter said "We didn't do nothing to your vehicle, we just changed the busted headlamp, and that was it, if it's shaking the throttle body is getting worse" My vehicle was not shaking when John the mechanic drove my car and I been driving my car 2 weeks prior without experiencing this shake before. They didn't even tell me to bring the vehicle back!!! I had to take it home and get on the freeway, when I did, Thank God I arrived home SAFE! my vehicle did not even start back up. WOW! My life was in danger and all I can say is, they were greedy and did not care about the vehicle. This was not customer service at all, the reaction was your SOL. This business is not honest or right and if they were, they would of looked at my concerns further especially since I addressed it immediately. They "Act" like they care, but they really don't it is a facade. Not only that, they didn't take responsibility for the damage that was incurred by them messing with my cords. The Moral of this story is: Just because a mechanic works in a shop, does not always mean they are certified and just because a person can portray they are nice does not always mean they care. I would not go to this shop ever again and if you don't outsource and research, you too will be a victim. read more

This is a rating for the telegraph store.I had brought my 2016 ford f150 to the store on Ecorse for a leaking tire.They got me right in and fixed it for free(thank you guys).So i promised them I would bring in our daughters car ,a 2006 jaguar for a check engine light.I brought in the vehicle to them and they were not able to find out what was wrong with it,so they sent it over to their telegraph location.They charged me 2500.00 dollars for repairs ,only to tell me the check engine light would come on again because it needed a air injection pump.I picked up the car and by the time I got half way home i had coolant all over my engine and all sorts of engine warning lights going off.I brought it back to them and they said it was a hose that was short and cut on a weird angle.(why not replace the hose then).My parking brake light then started coming on and would not let me shift car out of park unless you shut it off.Cruise control quit working also,which there was never a problem with either one of these functions,They fixed these issues,which all came back on a month after we got the car back.(mind you the car is only driven once a week for the most part).Again this rating is for telegraph rd store.I would not recommend this repair facility to any of my friends or family. read more
