If I can give them -10 starts I will do it. This is the worst customer service ever. My first appointment was at 6 and I had to wait 30 minutes to get my service. The second appointment they booked for me was not on the computer. They kind very un responsible for their business. Highly don't recommend. The owner who made appointment for me called me in the morning and said I Cannot get any refund. Please read the trap they let you signed in the paper work carefully. They said if you late or cancel your appointment you have to pay them fee. And when they make a mistake they just say sorry? She said I can't get the refund because the treatment worth $200 something and she made an appointment for me today if I don't show up I get charge $50 for cancel appointment. I feel like I have no way to get out of this. And I don't know they will do good job for me or not? Really bad issue. Anyway, I HAVE TO continue my treatment by any reason if not I loose all my money. I wonder who can protect customers like me for those salons? I really don't want to leave this review; because when I DID attend my usual visits, it was always pretty successful, the staff was wonderful and then bam, this nightmare starts. I've really been trying to be patient, empathetic and understanding during this entire process of their relocation but after a few weeks of calling, leaving messages, emailing, checking on Yelp, their website and any online sources I can find, I give up. By the way, your voice mail box is full, again. That's literally the 5th time I've called and it's been full. I can't imagine how many times a week you guys just delete messages. The most aggravating part is the lack of communication, things happen that are uncontrollable but you're responsible as a business owner to attend to your clientele. That means giving a heads up, giving updates; that is literally what a website, Facebook or even Twitter is for. Communication is vital to ensure we're 'aware' of the situation. As I gathered the info, they said they'd be opening up this past Tuesday, it's now the end of the week, before this date was June 20th; it has now been one month since my forced cancelation. I'm not the only one, can you imagine how many clients have been orphaned out of their appointments? I need to finish my treatments and much like most people who opt to laser hair removal, it's a necessity more than a convenience. My regimen is messed up and my hair growth has returned. I am quite frankly very furious; more importantly I did not get what I paid for and will be forced to follow up with a claim legally in my bank. Their Groupons are still live and people are still buying them, if you're reading this, please contact them (assuming you get through) before purchasing anything. You'll end up screwed like the rest of us. Beyond frustrated and disappointed with this business. None of my calls or emails have been answered in 3 weeks and there has been absolutely no information on why clients haven't been informed of the new address and telephone number. Laser Hair Removal is most effective when the sessions are 6 weeks apart, and at this point, that was a complete waste of 8 months and hundreds of dollars. It's been almost two months since my last service!!!! As a loyal client, this is VERY frustrating and unacceptable. It is so disappointing that I put my trust into such an unprofessional business. Unfortunately I can't even give 1 star for this place. Back in February 2017, I purchased a package unlimited for a year Vanquish and 6 seasons of Skin Tightening. I've had maybe 4 or 5 sessions of Vanquish and their skin tightening machine broke and that was it. They moved to their new location cancelled my last 2 appointments and haven't heard from them. I sent emails, I called and left messages, no one replied to my emails nor returned my calls. Came here for 6 sessions of laser hair removal. Unfortunately my back, shoulders and arms are now even more embarrassing than before. Instead of just a lot of body hair, I now have hair growing in stripes down my back, along my shoulders and upper arms. I look like a zebra. There was a different attendant each time, and each one blamed the prior attendant, but the reality is they just didn't do a thorough job. Some attendants didn't even know what package I had purchased - I had to tell them after I could tell they had completely skipped certain areas. After all of my sessions ended, I waited to see how the hair grew in. When it became clear that the hair was growing back in striped patterns, I emailed and left a voice message to see if they would fix the problem, but I didn't even get the courtesy of a response. I don't like leaving negative feedback, but the truth needs to be known. I saw in a prior review that wait time was significant, even though an appointment had been scheduled. That was my experience, as well. I was consistently taken 15 to 30 minutes late. I also have to say that laser hair removal was not painless. In fact, it was probably the most painful thing I have ever experienced - it felt like a scalpel cutting into me without anesthesia. To make it worse, during one session the attendant told me she reduced the power, but then at the end told me that she really didn't. I was hoping that they would fix the problem they caused, but they did not. Now I will have to look elsewhere. I would not repeat here. read more

Updating my previous 5 star review down to 3. I only completed 5 out of 6 treatments and will not be going back - here's why: After rescheduling a couple appointments, I noticed literally all my hair grew back as if I had never gone to a single treatment. Not wispy, little tiny hairs - normal growth. I genuinely feel as though all the laser treatments did was temporarily stunt the growth. From April to November with 5 treatments in between, really? Not to mention, every time I went I was given a different attendant, and only one out of the 5 spoke to me about how the treatments were going, what areas seemed to be troublesome, etc. It was basically an in-and-out treatment, and problem spots were not targeted even when I went out of my way to point it out. I got a groupon for this place and honestly, I am so happy I didn't pay full price for 6 treatments because I would be infuriated. On to wax treatments for me! I used to like this place.. but no more. Last Saturday I went for my last session (I had bought a 6 session laser hair removal) only to find out that I already had 6 sessions done. This made me really upset because I was told I had one last session and timed it perfectly for it - I waited an additional 2 months between appointments. Either way, I was very disappointed at the response from the manager. She said that I would have to pay around more than $200 to get what I wanted done and was not willing to do anything for me - i.e. some sort of discount at a reasonable price. She kept pulling out the brochure to show me how much it really costs. Seriously? No sense of customer service. If I am told that I have one last session - I trust and believe it. This was a waste of my time and it left a bitter taste. I have been very patient when I was coming in for my other sessions - but the wait times are long and I had to get re-scheduled at least twice because of the wait. At one point Stephanie, the owner, had offered some free sessions for microdermabrasion for the inconveniences that I have experienced in the past. One of the main reasons I wanted hair removal is because my skin is sensitive and shaving makes it very itchy and bumpy. I had 6 laser hair removal appointments. The hair was about 95% dark 5% gray. It's been a couple months since my last appointment. Unfortunately, the procedure only removed approximately 50% of the hair. What I'm left with is PATCHY, itchy, and bumpy. I have a package of 3 micros from Groupon - one down 2 to go. The goal was/is just a successful micro that transformw neglected stress-weary early aging skin to baby softness and the goal was achieved. Unfortunately I don't remember the name of the aesthetician but she did a great job. Ive had it done before and she did more passes then Ive experienced previously. Kudos. For my darker skinned ladies she tailored her advice very specifically around hyper-pigmentation & the pro/cons of zinc oxide sunscreens (effective but leaves a very obvious ghostly cast on skin darker than NW20+). So, do know it ends with this kind of product so if you're immediately going to work afterwards (it is a low-key but effective procedure, no downtime), grin & bear it until you get to work then switch to a z-cote/invisible zinc oxide product if you have one as you will definitely have a white cast. I had a huge brimmed hat and don't embarrass easily so I just wore it like a boss for the rest of the day given I was going to be outdoors for a few hours immediately afterwards. Know that she (darn, name escapes me, sorry) very directly addressed darker skin tips/concerns when it comes to micros (unprompted), I appreciate when aestheticians, dermatologists, makeup artists, etc. don't hem & haw about this (which is irritatingly common) because it is important. Head's up to men - I saw 2 men here at the end of my appointment, so don't be shy. The decor is pretty gender neutral as well I'd say. Seems to be all female staff but the location is so lowkey and humble that you shouldn't be nervous. The waiting area has several couches so if you need someone to wait for you, they'll be able to be accommodated. Also this spa was well-attended at a low-traffic time (midday, midweek), which was a vote of confidence for me. My goal for any procedure is efficacy above anything else and this was achieved. Got a bunch of unsolicited compliments on my appearance since. Customer service was great as well. The location is well air-conditioned and neatly tucked away on the Arlington/Cambridge border. They do provide printed out info on the procedures as well as a consent form - never experienced this anywhere else, really appreciated this as it demonstrates they take their work seriously. I've read some of the reviews and I'd STRONGLY suggest that you read about your procedure prior to committing to an appointment - even if you find a great deal online. This is a beauty MEDI spa. it is a relaxing self-indulgent experience, yes, but you're having procedures done to your skin and hair that is not readily available OTC. Don't go into this appointment sabotaging your own progress (for example, getting a tan before a micro) because you're not informed. Also be sure to arrive on time? I witnessed a tantrum from someone who admitted to being almost an hour late. They seem to be a pretty busy spa, so... ya know, don't be a jerk. Phenomal place. I'm a guy so I'm not usually comfortable in these settings, but the staff made me feel right at home and I immediately felt welcome and comfortable here. The waiting area is very quaint and clean, there's a small water feature that really set the serenity aspect of this place, it's the little things. In regards to the wait times, they weren't long at all. Due to my work schedule I usually arrive 10 minutes before my scheduled appointment, and often times I'm able to get into the room a few minutes early. During the time I've spent in the waiting area, I've noticed how courteous the staff is, anywhere from offering me water or other beverages, as well as turning on cartoons for another customers children while they waited. You're not just a customer here. They truly care about you. I've been to a few different medspas for laser hair removal, and from my experiences this one is the best all around. The parking, for one, is a major bonus here. Every time I have an appointment I'm able to park right in front of the door. The staff is extremely well trained, it's easy to see that there aren't any amateurs here. I had no issues with the laser, mostly because the woman who was working on me knew exactly what she was doing. I have been coming here since Elite first opened. The owner Stephanie use to do most of my laser treatments. She is the most sweetest lady you will ever meet. Usually owners are cocky and scary to talk to but not Stephanie. She becomes more of a friend when you get in the room with her. She thinks about your best interest. She's so careful with you. And most importantly she always has a smile on her face which brightens up your day no matter what is going on in yours. Lately I have been going in for micros and I have had the pleasure of Marina to do my micros each time. This lady is remarkable! I crave her each time it's time for a micro! I call it Marina Day! These ladies are amazing! SERVICE: Under arms for six appointments. (I have olive colored skin and dark brown hair.) TIMING: Every time I was seen exactly on time and was out the door in fifteen minutes. STAFF I had three different ladies work on me and each was friendly, answered my questions, chatted with me, and made me feel very comfortable. END RESULT: I'm a happy little lady. I may go in for one touch-up to the lower right little section of my left armpit, but otherwise, I'm hair-free. PROCESS: Remember to be patient when you get laser hair removal---from anywhere. Hair grows in at variable times and you have to get it lasered on a regular schedule. Go for ALL your appointments. (The bad reviews on here are silly people who expect magic at appointment 3. Would you run 6 miles and get upset at mile 3 that you weren't finished yet? I mean, c'mon.) After my own appointment 4 the hair started growing back in. But, I had been shaving between all my appointments and it turns out the hairs were literally just "stuck" in their follicles. I waited awhile to write this review to see if they would resolve the issue but they never did. I bought a Groupon for an IPL facial 6 months ago. I scheduled the appointment with Elite for April. At which time they redeemed my Groupon. I asked about this and the staff assured me that my appointment and Groupon would be valid up until I receive the service. The day before my appointment they called to say the machine was broken and rescheduled me. At the time of my next appointment they called the day before to say it is broken again and they don't know when it would be fixed. I complained that this was poor customer service and the person I spoke with said that they are moving and there is no point in fixing the machine until the move is complete. How about the point that I paid for a service that I can't receive? I also found out that they knew it was broken since I scheduled my first appointment and that they had no intention of fixing it until after the move. They said they couldn't issue a refund because it was bought through Groupon and offered me no other accommodation. They told me they would call to reschedule after the move. I've called several times after the move was complete. No answer, voicemail full and no one has called me since. I contacted Groupon for a refund and after numerous emails, calls and requests from Groupon for the business to call me, I was finally issued a credit. This has been the worst experience I have ever had with a spa. To just leave your customers without a clue as to when they can redeem something they paid for is ridiculous. read more

I bought a groupon for 6 laser treatments back in September. When I first met with the owner, she seemed professional and knowledgeable, and I even bought a few extra treatments. The groupon was redeemed right away and my payments processed. Since then, I've had nothing but substandard experiences at Elite. Problems have included: - very poor communication; they NEVER answer the phone, nor do they return calls. The voice mailbox is ALWAYS full. - rude and unhelpful staff - differing quality of treatments depending on which tech I got - last minute appt cancellation without explanation and in fact, the only notification I got was a recorded message - impossible to schedule appointments at the recommended intervals; hardly any appts available even months in advance - most recently, showing up for an appt (after having to change around my work schedule, and after confirming the appt with the owner just 2 days before), only to find the place locked, without any sign of activity, and no messages indicating what was going on. This last one happened a week ago and I am yet to receive any calls/messages despite having left a hand written note, and several attempts at calling in. This is just not the way to run a business, especially when you have already cashed in large amounts of people's hard earned money. Life circumstances or not, you owe your clients at least communication and an attempt at making it right. Extremely disappointing. read more

I am EXTREMELY frustrated with this business! They charged me $1000 in February 2017 for a one year of laser treatment. They seem to have permanently shut down since June 2017 even though a sign on the old location mentioned they have moved to a new address and told to call them for the new address. They did not call back or respond to emails and their voicemail is ALWAYS full when I call their phone number. Through Yelp, I discovered many more customers to be in the same boat as me. I was also their customer for about a year through a groupon deal I had bought previously. While I was still finishing up those sessions, they had opened up this deal of $1000 unlimited laser for one year to apparently all their current customers. I am student and it was hard for me squeeze out this amount of money, but they convinced me how great this deal was. So, I took my parents help to pay this amount, which is a HUGE amount for them since they do not live in US. Stephanie and others at Elite medspa knew about how hard it was for me and my parents to squeeze out this money and still they decided to disappear with it. If there was a way to select no stars I would. I have been calling them for over 2 months now. Haven't been able to leave a message because the VM is always full and disconnects. They are completely devoid of any understanding on how to run a business and provide customer service. In this day and age, if you can not get the appropriate electrical requirements for your business in the space you have rented to run your business, then you should not have rented that space. Its part of the due diligence of procuring your place of business. Additionally, the fact the the website "email" does not work is another excuse for poor understanding of business. I would never outright purchase anything from them again with the expectation that services would be provided in the future. I bought a Groupon for 8 sessions of iLipo though not necessarily sure if this kind of thing actually works but would be happy with any kind of a result. My first appointment was easy to make. I arrived early and was given a consultation by one of the employees. I signed a bunch of waivers and took measurements of the part of my body I was working on to document if there was any kind of success. During the consult, I was suckered in to buying a package of Ultra treatments as well because it would give me the best result for my goal. After the treatment (which is completely painless, thankfully), you're taken to the "gym" where you need to work out for 30 minutes after the treatment. The "gym" consists of one squeaky elliptical machine which I used once and then chose to go to my own actual gym after the remainder of the treatments. So why did I give this place only 2 stars? It's not because the treatments didn't work because I noticed a slight difference after a few sessions. It's not because of the one squeaky elliptical in their "gym." It's because the service was not standard among everyone. Typically, when you're set up for your treatment, you're left on the bed for 30 minutes for the lasers to do their work and then the employee comes back and takes the lasers off to do the ultra treatment. There was one time that after the iLipo treatment, I waited for 30 minutes on the bed for someone to come in and do the Ultra treatment. No one came so I unhooked myself from the iLipo machine, got dressed, and had to walk out to the front desk to ask someone to do the Ultra treatment. Yes, I was forgotten about in the room while attached to their machine. When I had the Ultra treatments, it was clear that everyone had their own way of doing them. Some were more gentle, some were more rough. When I asked about what the standard was to the treatment, I was told that I would still get effect regardless. My question wasn't answered but at that point, I just wanted to get out of my appointment because I was already there far too long. Lastly, making appointments was really difficult. I was told that I needed to do 2-3 treatments per week so I tried to pre-book as many as I could. Unfortunately, the office was closed the whole week during 4th of July, I work during the day over 20 miles away, and the next Saturday appointment was a couple weeks away. In any case, after being left in the room for 30 minutes with no service, I was pretty turned off by the whole process. I don't plan on coming back. This is a great place with good deals and some great staff, especially Marina. But the way communication with clients is managed is super unprofessional. I have come at least 3 times for appointments when the laser is down or the microdermabrasion machine is broken and have not been informed. The last two times I have left work early for an appointment I arrived to find the door locked, no sign on the door, no answer on the phone, and no call to let me know the power was out and most recently that they had moved. This is terrible management. If I didn't have pre paid services left, I would not be coming back. They need to respect their client's time and efforts to keep appointments and show professional courtesy by making a fair attempt of letting us know when something comes up that interferes with scheduled appointments. read more

I experienced rude staff and inconsistent treatments, No one available to answer or return phone calls or emails in a reasonable manner. Also, when I asked for pricing on a particular service I was quoted a very high amount of money which then dropped to 70% lower than original quote in the matter of talking to two different people ON THE SAME DAY? A REALLY VERY TERRIBLE PLACE EVER! If you are going to spend money on this place, you must read this and please change your mind to look for somewhere else. I'M WARNING YOU!!! I had the 3rd Brazilian treatment yesterday, Saturday Aug 29th. I got different attendants each time. This time was the worst!! You're not gonna believe this!!!!! I got into a room to get ready for a treatment. After I laid down on the treatment bed, the attendant came, and she asked me to shave a little bit more BY MYSELF. She only gave me a shaver without lotion or gel, so it was pretty dry, but I had to get it done. Unfortunately, I couldn't see it clear when I had to shave throughout the blind spots, especially deep inside to the intimate areas, and that with no any helps. Until it was good enough, she started the treatment. It was really painful as every time I did. You cannot even hold your breath because it was non-stop for even just a few mins, especially if you have sensitive or damaged skins. At the last minute, I couldn't bear it anymore, so I spoke up "Wait". She asked me "Are you okay?" I told her I got hurt then she just said, "Oh! You know what, because YOUR BLOOD COMES OUT." While I was a little shocked, she right ahead kept doing the treatment without asking anything or even stop!!! OMG! How could that happen?? I got more pain because she did with the laser on that bleeding area and exactly the right spot I got cut. Why didn't she tell me prior to the treatment? Of course she saw it when I was shaving. Can you imagine how hurt it was? And why didn't she stop?? It wasn't the first time they had done the treatment while I was bleeding. Think about it If I got infection on my vagina!!! DAMN IT!!!!! After the treatment done, she gave me wipes to clean. I found out there were 2 or 3 spots injured. I got bleeding and it didn't seem stop easily. It was so awful, hurt, and irritated. I need ANTI-BIOTIC OINTMENT CREAM badly, so I asked the attendant for it. Incredibly, they don't have it in this place. Can you believe that??? How can this place qualify as a MED SPA? They don't even have FIRST AID for customers? I was told, "No, we don't have it here. You have to go buy yourself at the CVS". Really??? R U Fcking SERIOUS?? Moreover, they are not professionals at all that was why they let customers shave themselves. She also said to me out loud at the registration, "Oh right! U need it because you cut yourself". Let me start off with I used to love this place and the consultant Marina ( who I do not blame for all of this) I used to see. Now I can't even get in touch with them to finish my sessions which have been paid for. I have called to either get no answer, the voice mail is full and most recently the number is no longer in service. I have emailed sent a PM on Facebook which I can see was read and still no response. I did file a claim with the BBB that was closed because they couldn't reach them either. I purchased a groupon in August 2016 for 6 sessions. At my 4th treatment I purchased an additional 6 sessions at Elite Medspa and Wellness. At my 5th treatment, they informed me they would be moving up the street, closer to Arlington Center on Mass Ave. They scheduled my 6th visit for June, which was cancelled due to the move. Since then, I have tried calling to reschedule and received no calls back. Today when I called, both lines have been disconnected and the facebook page is gone. Price is very cheap, but you get what you pay for, the service is embarrassing, their laser machine is not up to par with other machines, and I was burned. One time they made me wait an hour for my appointment, and I was 30 minutes early. The laser hair removal is not good, and didn't receive the results I was looking for, even though I am a good candidate for laser, I used oto do laser before to another place, but since I moved here, I had to look for a place here, and I regret going here, because it was just a waste of time and money, I had most of my hair removed from the other place too, it was more expensive but definitely worth it. read more

It's is sad to read reviews that are so falsely portrayed. Asma, you arrived after your scheduled appointment. On arrival, you were insistent that we take you, even though we continuously explained to you we were booked. What I would call rude is you repeatedly telling us that we needed to take you, and that we should make the scheduled clients wait because you missed your appointment. We then agreed to squeeze you in and you were so impatient you walked into a treatment room. You then continued to yell across the waiting room, "are you going to take me now," while we were trying to finish with clients before you, so we could take you. We knew your story. We tried to work with you. You just weren't happy because we didn't agree to make all the other clients late, and take you. The clients and additional staff were embarrassed by your behavior. No one agreed with you. Shocking the only other review you have posted claims also that the worker was rude. Yelp is supposed to be a review to help consumers, not to continue throwing a temper tantrum. read more

Very rude attendants and very bad service. The technician was shouting all the time. No manners And I am really surprised you left such lies without even talking to me or trying to get my side of the story! Nicole shouted at me and the other attendant even apologized on her behalf! She was shouting at the top of her voice and telling me to leave and she can behave anyway she wants to and what can o do about it! If this is your idea of correct behavior then there is not much anyone can say about it! I bought a laser hair removal package (full leg including bikini) of 8 sessions. Tonight was my first session. I'm very excited to be leg bald soon!! Punctuality: I was seen *exactly* at the time my appointment was scheduled for. Horray! Duration: The full leg + bikini took exactly 20 minutes. I was surprised by this because when I made the appointment I was told it would take 45 mins to 1 hr. Pain: On a scale of 1 -10 the pain was a 1. I hardly felt any sensation at all besides the plate of the laser scanner on my leg. There was one small patch on my lower leg that stung a tiny bit, but other than that I barely felt anything. This surprised me because I had test patch done at my consultation a few weeks ago, and I would rate that pain at 4 or 5. I did take ibuprofen before the session so maybe that helped more than I was expecting it to. Horray for no pain!!! Unless that's a sign of ineffectiveness. In which case...boo. Staff: Stephanie and Taylor were at the front desk when I arrived an paid - both were very nice and professional. Bonus: there was an adorable little girl at the front desk (a staff member's daughter I think) helping to greet the guests :) Taylor did my session - she was nice but rushed and a little sloppy. Not a huge problem for me as long the treatment is effective, but an attentive tech would have been a bonus. Safety: I was given glasses to wear to protect my eyes from the laser. That's good. I was very surprised though that nobody checked in with me to confirm that I hadn't done any of the things I'm not supposed to do before a session (eg: no sun exposure, no tanning, no antibiotics, no acid exfoliants, no lotions or creams, etc). There was no mention of any of this. Effectiveness: Only time will tell! I'll update as things go along and adjust my ratings accordingly. UPDATE 3/16/17: I went back for my second laser hair removal visit 6 weeks after the first visit. Here's how it went: Punctuality: Just like the first time I was seen right on time. Duration: The full leg + bikini took over 2 hrs! More on that below. Pain: On a scale of 1 -10 the pain ranged from 4 to 6 depending on the area. (eg: shins were a 6. thighs were a 3). Staff: My tech this time was named Alexis. She is my hero. At the start of the session I mentioned that it didn't seem like the first session was affective at all. She took this into account and suggested some changes. In particular, she suggested that I try the treatment without the gel. She was SO meticulous in the application of the laser, which I really appreciate. She even did multiple passes, which is probably why the session took so long. I don't mind a longer session at all as long as the treatment ends up working, so no complaints here. And to top it all off she's just really sweet and kind and lovely. Safety: When Alexis escorted me into the room the first thing she asked was if my medical history had changed. She specifically asked if I had started a course of antibiotics since that last treatment. Again I was given goggles. Effectiveness: After the first laser hair session I had no hair fall afterwards, and no change in hair growth. After the second session I definitely had hairs falling out and the new hairs are growing in slower and finer. HOORAY! The treatment seems to be more effective in some areas than others (lower leg and bikini seems to responding well, upper leg not so much). I'll update again as things progress! UPDATE 10/13/2017 I arrived for my laser appointment to find that the owner closed up the business. I'm very disappointed and will be taking legal action. read more
