Been here twice, the first time my Vietnamese friend brought me here. As a Latin man who has never had a pedicure in his life, it was a life changing experience. Both times I was attended by a younger woman named Linh, and she has gone above and beyond to make me feel comfortable and relaxed. The first time I got only the 35 basic package, the second time I splurged a little with the 55 dollar package that included a bunch of goodies. I plan on coming next month for my monthly pedicure, and will try out the super package at 70 dollars . I've been coming here for about a year because it's close to my job. Today was my last time . Just like fast food workers with attitudes, if you don't want to work. Don't do it, simple as that! There was male tasked with doing my polish. He was sitting down not working like all the other women and was chosen to literally do his job. He was very rude and a bit forceful with putting the separators on my toes along with taking them off! I made sure i matched his energy with my tone and my body language as well along with not tipping. He didn't lotion my feet or confirm if I liked it mid way through. The nail tech cut my cuticle and made it bleed, then asked me to pay right afterward after the injury. I felt confused and uncomfortable to request for a discount because the nail tech did not offer any options to rectify the injury. The service also felt unsanitary, as the water wasn't changed from the previous client. In addition, the manicure was incomplete. I didn't receive lotion or cuticle oil at the end, even though I saw another client getting those steps. Given the safety, hygiene, and service issues, I will not be coming back and I do not recommend this salon. read more

I tried several different technicians now and have never left satisfied. Today, was the worst of all, I actually cried because of the poor quality of the pedicure. When you enter a business that charges top dollar for a service, especially in this economy, you expect to be pleased or at least satisfied with the results. Half of the women are rude and think they know better than your requests, there's a pretty significant language barrier with a few technicians, and overall they just seem very unenthusiastic, even scrolling on their phones while painting nails! There was a lady sleeping and hunched over at the nail dryer. No massage, nickel and dimed me and just overall a really bad experience. Would not recommend. read more

I have never written a review before in my life but this experience was not it. I just moved to this area and was trying to find a new nail spot. I am someone with sensory issues, i explained to the girl doing my nails 3 different times I don't like doing gel because of the texture of it. She continued to push gel and make me uncomfortable having to say no so many times. That wasn't the issue though, I wanted basic black and white nails. She told me it wouldn't last more than 3 days without gel, which just isn't true. She refused to clean up my nails, didn't cut my cuticles, left dust everywhere including the pain, and the worst part came when it was time to pay. She walked me over to the dryer and grabbed my card and checked it out without my consent . My total was 10$ more than what she initially told me, I didn't mind too much, but how could she just take my card? I asked " Can I tip with cash instead of card? " and she said " I know you don't have any money, you don't have to tip if you are poor " & walked away from me. I was so hurt and distraught, I couldn't believe someone would say that just because I didn't want gel. Customer service gets 0/10. I couldn't believe that was my experience here. read more

I had a very good experience at Elite nails today. I came in as a walk in for a refill and a pedicure. There was a little confusion as to who was doing my nails at first but we were on track in no time. Mary did my toes and nails and did a wonderful job. I was very happy with the fact that she made sure things were straight and even. I also have issues were my big toe nails curl in and get dirt stuck under there. Most places over look it. Not Mary! She took care of it right away! I really like the cat eye effect they have. It was a lil pricey from what I'm used to back home in Oklahoma. But I'm happy knowing they were done right! read more

This is by far the worse nail shop I ever been to in my life. The service is terrible. I was passed around to 2 different workers for a overlay with gel polish. The second worker I was with, was trying to turn my wrist and fingers in ways that was not physical possible, I told her it hurts, yet she continued. I'm not the type to walk out in the middle of a service but I left after my nails was done. I couldn't let them do my toes. The polish wasn't good, it left streaks and spots. I mentioned it to her but she continued to use it. I left with glue and acrylic on my fingers. I completed my service paid and left. It was a mind blowing experience. This nail salon is located in the plaza on fowler avenue. It is moderately priced and feel it is definitely worth every penny I must say I've been here several times and never have had a bad experience. My technician Tony takes his time and truly loves his craft. I have had several services done here and recommend it to anyone I know. They do offer a rewards program and I have signed up for it. My nails always end up lasting nearly an entire month when I get them done. I have been to other nail salons were they only last a couple days before they begin to chip so that is definitely a plus. This place has had the MOST turnover. The owner gets in his feelings and talks about customers in front of other customers. My Nail tech flirted more than he worked. Went with some friends, they fit us in quickly which was great but we were told $35 for a fill on the phone and we were charged $40 afterwards. not really a big deal to me though. my tech was great, not sure her name but she was the very first station, took her time and made sure i liked them at each step. the only problem was with my friend's nail tech, station 10, the color she applied was not the one she picked and she basically told her she's too far into it to do anything about it. the nails were really bad, you could see the design she had TWO nail sets ago under the polish. WORST SERVICE EVER AND NOT CLEAN Save your money and don't go here. I've been here for years and the place has gone from bad to worst. I had dip nails done and they were uneven and i was left with glue all over my hands. Kenny did them first and I HAD TO ASK HIM TO CLEAN HIS CLIPPERS FIRST. I told the owner and when attempting to fix it she made it worst and had to redo them again. I have been going to Elite Nails for two years now and it's the only nail salon I will allow to give me a manicure or pedicure. Prior to going to Elite Nails I had given up on getting my nails manicured because of the lack of skill, cleanliness, friendliness, and outrageous pricing. About two years ago I had a special event to attend and needed my nails manicured with gel polish. I searched in my old neighborhood, New Tampa, and finally in Temple Terrace. I went into several salons in the Temple Terrace area and was thoroughly disappointed. One place I had to turn around and leave immediately after entering because of the stench. Another place I sat down and the pedicure tub was filthy. I started to give up and just go to Sally's and get gel polish and a lamp, but decided to do a google search, and there was Elite nails! I read the reviews and they looked so good that I thought I'd give them a try. The review said to ask for Lenny because he was the best nail tech there. I wanted the best, so I asked for Lenny, and true to the review HE IS THE BEST!! I was so excited, finally I found a good clean, friendly, skilled, and affordable salon. Lenny truly is skilled, and has certificates to show his training and continued learning, which is very impressive to me. Not only does he have the paper but the skill to back it up. I have not been disappointed In the two years that I have been going to him. I have referred my friends to him because when they see my nails they ask who does your nails they are so pretty and last such a long time. One of my friends had gel nails done in a salon in New Tampa and the next couple of days they had all peeled off, so I told her to go to Lenny and she has had her gel polish for 30 days now, and I typically go three to four weeks (I know that's way too long because my nails grow out but I have a really busy schedule), but the fact that the polish last that long speaks to the skill of the technician as well as the quality of products. Lenny is very friendly and professional. He explains any questions you may have regarding your nail care, and it shows that he has a passion for what he does. The environment is very pleasing, and even more so since the renovation and expansion, which I really like. I hope and pray that Lenny does not leave this location, but if he does I just might follow . in addition, I would recommend you make an appointment with him because he is very busy and in demand. I can not speak to the other manicure technicians because I only go to Lenny for my manicure, but other customers look happy with some of the girls that are in the shop, and they are mostly very friendly. Lenny's wife tends to gel a lot of customers, just from my observation, but I do not know personally. Finally, there are two girls that I really love to do my pedicure and that's Kim and Mindy, boy will they put you to sleep and massage away your aches and pain in the legs and feet. Elite Nails is the best nail salon in the area!! I've been going to this salon for two years and they do not disappoint. All the nail technicians that work in the shop are carefully selected and trained to be professional, friendly, courteous, and detailed. Their shop is VERY clean and doesn't smell like the typical nail salon. Every 2-3 weeks I get a shellac polish manicure for $20-25 and it always lasts until the next appointment. Although everyone at Elite Nails does a great job, my favorite nail technician and owner of the shop, Lenny, is my favorite. 6 months before my wedding, I asked if Lenny would do my nails before the big day, and he promised that he would. Not only that, he made a special appointment for me and my bridesmaids to all get our nails done right before the wedding! They turned out great. Pros: Salon is clean, lots of pedicure chairs available and I did not have to wait (walk in for regular mani pedi). The young women who did my pedicure did an excellent job. She took time to massage and paint the nails carefully. The color on my manicure was too light and she allowed me to get another color to coat over it. Cons: The older women who did my manicure. She cut my cuticles without any cream and now the skin is torn and in pain. She left the dust from shaping my nails and painted right over it. The paint job was rushed and careless and looks clumpy. I love this nail salon and the owner but I had gotten a quick last minute appointment so I had a new nail tec this time around. She made me feel uncomfortable when I simply states what I thought was wrong with my nails that I appreciated her correcting. I was told to not tell her how to do her job which was not the case, and I caused too much movement which is why she couldn't do a better job on my nails? Then I was hovered over when I was tipping as if I needed to feel guilty for tipping her 20 percent on a job I didn't think was completed right. You can actually see where the acrylic tips starts on my nail bed, and they were drilled down so far that 6 out of my ten nails have a curve in the middle of them from the tip starting. I didn't even want to ask for another tec to finish since I practically got yelled at. Then the long sigh she made at the end as if I caused her agony from asking her to fix my pinky nail that broke because she didn't glue it on securely.
