It took two days to remove a clog. On day one, they refused to snake it, insisting on using a camera and then flushing it with high pressure. Instead of clearing the line, they pushed the clog out past a single unit, so it affected 7 units, then left for the day. When they came back, they tried to upsell me on replacing the clogged pipe for $25k. When I balked at the price, they said they gave me the wrong price, then went down to $22k, then $18k, then I said the most I could pay was $15k, and they agreed. Once they thought I was going to pay for that big job, they finally agreed to use the snake to remove the clog, which is what I called them out for in the first place. Needless to say, I will not be working with them again. FYI: The worker, Chris, was great. It's the company management I have a problem with. In the end, I got charged for using the camera, flushing, and snaking--and had to put tenants up in a hotel for the night, which could have been avoided if they had simply snaked the line as I asked them to. read more

One of the Worst Service Experiences I've Ever Had - Avoid This Company We were in a tough situation with a clogged toilet and needed urgent help. Unfortunately, calling this plumbing company turned out to be a huge and costly mistake. They began by uninstalling and reinstalling our TOTO toilet. Not only did this fail to fix the issue, but the toilet has never worked properly since. To make matters worse, they lost a part in the process and charged us $500 for that alone. Then came the upsell: they insisted we needed a hydro flush, which cost us $1,750. It still didn't fix the problem. Frustrated, we brought in a specialist who quickly diagnosed the issue and resolved it with a simple snaking of the line--something that should have been done from the start. The line was serviceable, and all that costly work we were sold on was unnecessary. What became clear is that their approach was not about solving the problem, but about pushing the most expensive services possible, regardless of whether they were needed. I've called at least a dozen times asking to speak with a manager and request a partial refund. They have mostly ignored my calls. Their lack of accountability and customer service is appalling. Bottom line: stay away from this company. They took advantage of our desperation, overcharged us for work that didn't solve the problem, and then ignored our attempts to resolve the issue. 3 stars - Meh...OK. The work was to fix the leaking shower head in the bathroom. I was offered 2 quotes. 1] To diagnose the problem and try to fix the showerhead. But I was told there was no guarantee it would work ($400). So the other option was 2] Replace the whole shower system for around $3500. The initial visiting fee of $189 would be adjusted into this amount if I went for the whole replacement. I fell for the upsell. The quote they provided was 15% higher than the 2nd quote I got. However, their promise was to also complete the drywall work as best as a plumber could. The hassle of having to find a handyman to do that work tempted me into accepting the higher-cost item. The work itself went at a very slow pace with the installer (Robert) taking a full day (around 8 hours) to replace the shower system. He took the brass/copper connecter with him (apparently they have good resale value). His promise was to return the following day to level the drywall. Surprise #1...I was supposed to buy the spray paint required to texture the wall...something they said they would take care of in the beginning. Surprise #2.....Robert demanded 100% payment even before the work was completed. This after I had paid 10% down. Surprise #3....The initial visiting fee of $189 was NOT part of the full amount. A phone call to Robert's supervisor, Alexander fixed that 3rd problem. It did not come as a surprise that the following day Robert never showed up and Elite rooter abandoned the drywall work. Ultimately, I ended up hiring a (good) handyman to get the drywall fixed. I contacted their service email and got a reply from Trisha. After providing her my home address, there has been total silence...no replies. He was immediately condescending and rude and said well we're just going to leave then I guess because he wasn't getting the upsell he wanted. He even accused me of 'swearing' because I said "what the hell is going on with your company then no one seems to know what's going on and when the appointment is?" He ended with a smarmy "have a nice day and hung up." I spoke to the guy that actually was going to do the work as he was driving to the house and he was prepared to sell me on something bigger. Luckily I was able to shut down the upsell because I had something in writing and a Yelp message quoting a price. they told me they would send somebody out with a hundred foot snake and get a free camera inspection as part of the service period turns out they have a 75-ft Max cable length which is not that big of a deal but no camera service unless you have a 3-in vent which is pretty rare to find in residential single-family home. I would definitely recommend staying away from this company. My text: Gabe, I wanted to tell you that I very much did not appreciate your very condescending attitude and complete fail on customer service. I had booked an appointment for today 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. yesterday. No one from your company showed up today and when I called they said "we don't remember any appointment and did I maybe call the wrong number yesterday?." It's programmed into my phone so I just hit redial. Obviously I didn't call the wrong number they just screwed up writing it down. That should have been my first clue. Back of house drain was clogged and after I tried everything I could, I found Elite Rooter on Yelp. I scheduled them to come out the following day. Two plumbers showed up (Greg and his apprentice), on time, wore masks and they very professional. They snaked the drain and found the issue to be deeper than at the drain itself. Since the pipes were installed in the 1950's, I elected to have them use a camera to see where the issue was for an additional cost. They were able to get the camera person there same day. They showed me where there was build up in the pipe, standing water in the pipe (bad grading) and where there were roots growing into the pipe. I then elected to have them hydrojet (clean) the inside of the pipe to the street. Since it was late, they came back the next day. It was an additional cost of course (hydro jetting) but well worth it. Now I know what needs to be done. I am very happy with the quality of workmanship and the professionalism of the plumbers who showed up to fix my issues. I would recommend them to family and friends. read more

We had a clogged up shower drain. He was very conscientious - putting on those blue shoe covers in our house and laying down a covering around the shower in case there was a mess. Adhemar had to use the snake and dig pretty deep for some time before he got the clog out - a baseball sized ball of hair. As he was clearing it out, he was incredibly informative and asked some good questions about the piping (when were remodels done, pipe material types, etc.) to potentially diagnose and prevent future clogs. When their technician arrived, he said it would be $510! I said goodbye to him and made another appointement with Elite Rooter for the next morning.
