A few days ago I noticed that on one of our faucets, if I closed the hot water side too fast there was a little bit of a rattle under the house. I thought I could handle it myself after asking Perplexity what it could be and installed a water arrestor. That didn't help so I thought, maybe it could be the strapping. I reached out to Handy Plumbing Man on a Saturday and they were quick to respond that they could have someone there on Monday. Monday morning came and their technician, Miguel, went down and found that one of the pipes they had worked on wasn't totally secured. No problem, mistakes happen. He said he'd call the office to get technicians over to check the strapping on the work below. I had to go into work but did get a message from them later on that day to see if they could get someone over the same day (Monday) to fix it. This is more on me that I had already gone into work, but they said they could do tomorrow morning at 8am. The guys, Carlos and Baltazar, came bright and early, went under the house and secured the pipe and then some. Awesome company!

Ross removed all the debris and cleaned it out. Lo and behold we have more water pressure!!! He told me he wasn't going to charge me because of how easy of a fix it was. Danny Jimenez came out to spec the work the day I called, documenting the job and explaining everything in both English and Spanish for both his team and mine. After searching and searching for a good honest reliable plumber I finally found one, Peninsula Plumbing Solutions is really the only solution other companies try to upsell me and fix things that didn't really need to be fixed. The crew that was sent out finished the job in less than an hour. Now I have no dripping shower head. Instead of clearing the line, they pushed the clog out past a single unit, so it affected 7 units, then left for the day. When they came back, they tried to upsell me on replacing the clogged pipe for $25k. When I balked at the price, they said they gave me the wrong price, then went down to $22k, then $18k, then I said the most I could pay was $15k, and they agreed. Once they thought I was going to pay for that big job, they finally agreed to use the snake to remove the clog, which is what I called them out for in the first place. Needless to say, I will not be working with them again. FYI: The worker, Chris, was great. It's the company management I have a problem with. In the end, I got charged for using the camera, flushing, and snaking--and had to put tenants up in a hotel for the night, which could have been avoided if they had simply snaked the line as I asked them to.

Unfortunately, calling this plumbing company turned out to be a huge and costly mistake. They began by uninstalling and reinstalling our TOTO toilet. Not only did this fail to fix the issue, but the toilet has never worked properly since. To make matters worse, they lost a part in the process and charged us $500 for that alone. Then came the upsell: they insisted we needed a hydro flush, which cost us $1,750. It still didn't fix the problem. Frustrated, we brought in a specialist who quickly diagnosed the issue and resolved it with a simple snaking of the line--something that should have been done from the start. The line was serviceable, and all that costly work we were sold on was unnecessary. What became clear is that their approach was not about solving the problem, but about pushing the most expensive services possible, regardless of whether they were needed. I've called at least a dozen times asking to speak with a manager and request a partial refund. They have mostly ignored my calls. Their lack of accountability and customer service is appalling. Bottom line: stay away from this company. They took advantage of our desperation, overcharged us for work that didn't solve the problem, and then ignored our attempts to resolve the issue. If I could give zero stars, I would.

During that same visit, Francisco evaluated a leaking shower valve in my guest bathroom. He explained that because of the age of the valve, there was a possibility the wall might need to be opened and the entire valve assembly replaced. However, he first wanted to try replacing the shower cartridges. On visit #2, the bathroom sink faucets were replaced, and Francisco successfully replaced both shower cartridges entirely from the shower side of the wall -- saving me thousands of dollars by avoiding the need to open the wall and replace the entire valve assembly. Visit #3 involved replacing a cartridge in an existing ROHL shower valve. Again, there was concern that if the old cartridge could not be properly removed, it might require opening the wall and removing tile to replace the valve. Mariano and Francisco were able to complete the repair successfully, replace the old cartridge, and now the shower works perfectly. I'm a retired construction superintendent/OSHPD inspector, so I understand construction means and methods and have a very critical eye for workmanship and attention to detail. Lemus Plumbing has experienced technicians who clearly know their trade and take pride in doing things the right way. They are knowledgeable, professional, efficient, and simply excellent plumbers.
