I won't recommend this place and won't go there again. 1. I was late for my appointment because I was sick the day before the appointment. It opens at 10:00 am in the morning and my appointment was scheduled at 10:30 am. I tried to call them at 10 to cancel my appointment because of my illness. However no one picks up the phone. Because of their cancellation policy, I have to go. Then I was late for 25 minutes. She said because it's my fault, she needs to finish the appointment at the time we originally scheduled, even though she does not have any customer after me and she spent a lot of time trying to sell me her products, which I will explain later. So the service was basically about 50 minutes which was scheduled for 80 minutes. 2. She did not spend much time doing facial. I have been to different facial places, and I am sure she spent the least efforts and time on my face. Considering the price she was charging which is $160 (this is another story), I was not getting the service I paid for. The places where charge half of the time definitely provided more service. I can tell where she spent the money - the environment is the best so far compared to the facial places where charge under $100: she has a separate exchange room which is very luxury, the treatment room is very spacious... but it does not mean she does not need to provide any service to her clients. 3. She added the service without asking you. I asked her to do the Acne Control Treatment which is $135. Later she charged me $160 which I realized she applied the AHA peel. However, she did not communicate it with me at all. She told me she was going to apply the peel, but she made it sound like it is part of the acne control treatment. 4. After the service finished, she gave me a few lotion samples which was nice. And then there is another little bottle serum which looks like sample size. She asked me if I want it she can open the serum for me. I paused for a second and asked, is this free sample? She said no this is not. She tried to cheat you to buy her stuff without realizing it. This is the first and the only place that I go wanted to sell you their products. Even the ones charge lower prices (i love those places) they don't do that at all. I think the only thing she thinks is how to make easy money from her clients. I found this place from Yelp, and it was selected by Allure as the Best SkinCare place. I decided to try this place because of the products she uses are Valmont. But this is really the worst experience I have ever had. I won't recommend this place to anyone. read more

Elite Skin Care is the best place I have ever been for a facial in the SF bay area. Liza does an assessment of your skin at each appointment and will recommend which facial is best suited to you. She is professional and friendly and her whole demeanor creates a relaxing atmosphere. In short, she's an expert. The facilities are small, but very nice. Elite Skin Care also sells a range of products for all skin types/conditions, but Liza is never pushy about buying anything. The facial price might seem a bit of a shock, but it is well worth it - I always leave feeling refreshed and relaxed. read more

You for sure get what you pay for. And while the prices are high, the service and quality is too. My wallet can't handle Elite Care all the time, so once in a while I'll venture off to some spa type place where they charge 80 to 100 for a facial but never ever ever does it come out the same. My skin is literally glowing when I leave Liza's. At the other places it seems like I could have done the same thing in my bathroom at home. Liza is gentle and custom makes everything for you. She does not try to up sell you. And to the lady who says "ask for the price upfront". Did you really not ask how much before hand and were shocked after such great service? Come on get real. The only place I'll go to for a facial. I've been going here every 6 weeks or so for over a year and my skin thanks me for it! I travel a lot and am prone to breakouts with weather/humidity changes, and Liza's facials help keep my face in balance. I've had facials before from other places, various spas and such, but nothing so good that it ever compelled me to return. Elite Skin Care is the only place that impressed the hell outta me. Liza only takes one client at a time and devotes her entire attention to you, and customizes the treatment to your skin needs. The place is uber-plush, comfortable, and always meticulously clean! She also has an amazing memory and remembers our conversations from past visits, and she can always tell me the last time I was in to see her. The personalized service is 5 stars. And despite my earnest efforts I fall asleep every time, it's so relaxing. I haven't had much experience with the products because I fell in love with a Chilean moisturizer I found on my travels (plus it reminds me of vacation). But the products Liza uses during our facial are top-notch and I come out of there glowing. read more

Too expensive. Facials are well over $100 for about 1 hour and a half, but for the last half hour, you're usually in a mask, just laying there. She doesn't offer any neck/shoulder massage or anything like that while you're waiting. Yes, she is very good. She is professional and knows what she's doing. When she's doing extractions, she is quite gentle. The place is upscale, high end, clean, relaxing nice ambience. Because the facials are out of my price range, I would go in every 2 months, all I could afford, but I have such bad skin, it became pointless. I just feel that I could get an equivalent facial for less. But I do admit, I'm still searching. read more

I am basing my review on my online order NOT in-salon interactions: I was glad to see a distributor in the states carried Biologique Recherche which I love for my skincare regiment. I was working out of town, in a different time zone and while at work, I placed an order for a couple of new products. In my half asleep haze, I must have misread something as I one of the products I ordered was for the body rather than the face, which is what I truly needed. When I returned home, I saw my mistake and wrote ESC staff asking whether I could exchange the item I didn't mean to purchase. The response shocked me beyond belief. The description of the item was quoted in the email back to me and so was the fact that it was 'clearly stated that Lipogen AC helps reduce the appearance of cellulite so this is a body product.' Except...Never did I claim that the site was misleading or that I was given the wrong product. I readily admitted my mistake. In addition, I was quoted the return policy as being "All damages or short shipment must be reported to us within 48 hours upon receipt of the products.". Again, completely unnecessary as my product was neither damaged, nor short. It was a simple, honest mistake on my part and I never even asked for a refund, only an exchange. The email wasn't signed by anyone, which is puzzling and the tone overall was straight condescending. This is intolerable for much cheaper businesses to do, let alone one where it's impossible not to spend hundreds of dollars at a time. They're misrepresenting and mistreating a brand that should be nothing but revered. Goes without saying, I will no longer purchase anything from the website anymore. I thought it was Expensive. Be sure to ask the price upfront since no one tells you until it is time to pay. Mine was over 150.00 and I wasn't given a receipt. Maybe you should add dermabrasion for that high price or at least more massage. read more

They carry P50 from Biologique Recherche (the reformulated version, not 1970) and it's a hard-to-find item, even in Paris. The 1.7 oz is perfect for starting out and will last a good two months. The older gentleman at the front desk was very nice and guided me in my purchases. read more

This is based on customer service alone, I did not have a service there. After doing some google-ing I was happy to find a locally owned business that carries the Biologique brand I am obsessed with. I placed an order online for refills of all my usual products and everything came back confirmed and my credit card was charged. I got a terse email on Monday morning saying the order would not be fulfilled as I was shipping to a UPS store (where I rent a UPS box, not a PO BOX) and not my home address. I called and no one answered. Emailed back no response. Called again finally talked to someone who never gave their name. All their policy states is billing and credit card address must be verified. Not many people who truly live in SF ship anything to their house, it will take a weeks worth of tag with UPS or fedex to track it down or it will get left on a porch and stolen. I've been using this UPS system for over 5 years for all purchases without fail. Despite explaining all this, the man was outright rude and extremely condescending. I'll take my $500+ skincare order elsewhere. And will tell my fellow Biologique users to do the same. Their loss. UPDATE: The response from their business manager is BS. There is no new "credit card internet policy" unless it is one they have made up. Otherwise my bank would be questioning each and every purchase I make online that is shipped to this address, I'd be on the phone multiple times a day in some instances. The bank knows how I work and they are aware of the separate shipping and billing addresses and my account is marked for notifications for anything else. It works, as a life on the road person, I'm diligent about credit/debit card fraud. As an independent business Elite can do as they please, it is their prerogative, but don't try to pass if off as an internet wide change. I called my bank and asked, they pretty much laughed at me. Additionally, if this is indeed their policy it needs to be EXPLICITLY LISTED ONLINE. Orders shouldn't be confirmed or a credit card charged $500.00+ and then recanted. Then to tell me, on the phone, when I decide to cancel that you have a a 3% cancellation fee once an order is confirmed is truly absurd. Not to mention outright theft. I've asked for a copy of the voided full transaction and have yet to receive anything. I travel 5 days a week for work, most of my shopping is online and every purchase I make goes to this UPS store, I've never had this issue before even in the last few months since this Neiman Marcus/Target breach. No issue even from the 4 orders from new vendors I placed online over the weekend, or the florist I sent my best friend flowers from. Their fedex option is worthless. There is a reason I rent a UPS box, it's right by my house. Why would I want to have to track down Fedex after a missed delivery, have it rerouted to some other place, and then trek all over the city to some Fedex Business store on my day off? Or have to drive clear down to the airport when I've missed 3 deliveries in a row because I'm never home???? Also the man who answered the phone could use some etiquette and grammar lessons. Like not hanging up on the customer or threatening to keep a percentage of my transaction. Really really bad customer service. Still waiting for the confirmation of the full refund. read more

Relocating to SF from NY, I am extremely wary of trying anything new out here particulary a facial. I was introduced to Elite Skin Care after finding out I could reorder my Guinot products from them. They also ship to me in an extremely quick manner. I booked a facial here and finally got to experience Elite Skin Care for myself. I was not disappointed. The place is beautifully merchandised and very appealing. Did I mention meticulously clean? My favorite was when you lay on the bed and get to stare up at the twinkly white lights on the ceiling. I am sucker for white lights. The decor is very high end for a day spa. I had the Guinot Hydradermie facial and my skin feels and looks great. I can't wait to go again. read more
