This has been on my list of local Archdale restaurants to try for a while and I'm glad that I finally decided to give it a go. To start- I have to say that the service was ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC! Our waitress took care of everything we needed in a timely manner, but also never hovered which I fully appreciated! We started out with complimentary garlic knots for the table which was such a nice touch! I probably wouldn't order them again but they were pretty good- veryyy buttery but not much garlic flavor which I need. Wanting to try it all, we got two appetizers: the baked bruschetta and mozzarella sticks! I'm not a fan of tomatoes but after picking them off I lovedddd it. The garlic bread was to die for and I would love to have more! The mozzarella sticks were pretty run of them mill, probably from the freezer, but cooked to perfection. Fried hot but still had alll of the cheese in them! Definitely would order either of them again! Sticking with the theme of too much food just to try it out, for the main course we got an 8" pizza and Stromboli. The pizza was yummmy but I wish that there had been a little bit more of both toppings, especially considering it was all up-charged. We got the small original Stromboli but without the ham (picky me- I know). This was also very delicious. I wish I had asked for double pepperoni after removing the ham but that is not their fault! Food was pretty good though the sauce on my Chicken Parm was a bit oily/watery. I like a thicker sauce personally. Service was not superb was sat quickly ordee taken. Food delivered and then pretty much forgotten till I pushed my plate away. They have live music and the ambiance is a little above average noise but not too bad. read more

Loved the Stromboli and tortellini. The portions are huge, you can make several meals out of an entree. Always fast!

Excellent food and service. I especially like that they only use olive oil in their crust.

Ordered a medium pepperoni with extra pepperoni and half with light mushroom and it was absolutely perfect!!! The crust was pillowy soft. I ordered it to be delivered and it arrived quickly and pipping got. Well done!!! read more

we stopped in today after seeing some great photos of their food. We most certainly were not disappointed! Pizza, wings and spaghetti all got thumbs up! I was visiting High Point and I dined at Pizza Vino with my mother today, November 10th. When we got there it wasn't busy but after a while many people started to come in & I can understand why. I ordered a chicken Alfredo pizza and a side of fries, and it was quite tasty. I also am a big fan of cheerwine and was very delighted to know they offered it as an beverage option. Our waiter was a young woman name Natalie. She was very sweet, attentive & transparent with the delays occurring in the kitchen. I would definitely go here again next time i'm in town. read more

I usually pass by and see this place not busy so I've never thought to try it but I'm glad I did. The service was great. Garlic knots were great, jalapeño poppers were basic. dear god where do i even start. so i called in for delivery and ordered an Eggplant Parmigiana SUB. I made it clear i wanted the SUB. GUESS WHO DIDNT GET A SUB? IT WAS ME. No what i got was a dish of spaghetti, marinara sauce, and after further examination, fried eggplant that probably shouldn't be served to anyone for the sake of their safety. so that's fun. it costed me $23.... TWENTY THREE DOLLARS. For me to get some soggy noodles, in an aluminum tin with 2 inches of LITERAL GREASE in the bottom, covered by some past expiration date eggplant and marinara sauce. the garlic bread i got is LITERALLY GREEN. GREEN. tell me what universe exists where garlic bread is supposed to have a green tint to it? there isn't one. it's also so soaked in grease that it looks like it's just been dipped in a bucket of melted butter and soaked for a few minutes. the person who took my order wasn't very attentive (obviously) because otherwise i would've overpaid for a mediocre sub. which was at least what i had planned. this meal is something you'd see coming out of an unmanaged restaurant from "Kitchen Nightmares". Gordon Ramsay would be ashamed and i am never going to take my chances with this place ever again. read more

I went to Vino Pizza on a Friday night around 8:30. Given the time I expected, like most restaurants ,there to be a bit of a crowd. Not the case...I took this as an early indication of a problem that the locals picked up on. Service was excellent! So, I ruled that out early. Had to be the food or prices. After being let down that there was no vino (wine) at Vino Pizza, I opted for the pizza. I can't eat a good pasta without a red or a white to compliment the flavors. That being said, I was really bummed that my meal didn't come with the complimentary salad like the other menu options did. So, for an additional 5 bucks or so I purchased the one time only salad bar option (all you can eat also available for a few cents more.) Classic Iceberg lettuce or dark greens with a little bit of reds mixed in. Nice selection of dressing. Only shredded cheddar as a cheese....and some other not-so-italian salad toppings. Garlic Knot appetizers arrived with the pizza. They were very tasty. The pizza and was a bit disappointing... the center was under cooked and doughy as a result.(Half of each slice flopped down do to gravity) The outer edges were on the verge of beginning to brown, but were pretty tough. Again service was great! And because of this I will give them a chance at redemption the next time I'm in the area. read more

This place is not what it used to be. Placed an order for a x large cheese and pep, medium cheese pizza, mozz sticks, and a salad woth house dressing. Everything but the mozzarella sticks were horrible. The house dressing tasted like black pepper and vinegar, not how it usually tastes. The dough for the pizza was tough and tasted almost like a cookie. When i called to inquire why the food tasted so different today the rude lady that answered to phone told me, "thats how its supposed to taste". Having eaten there many times I knew that was incorrect. I asked if they changed the recipe and her response was, "we dont follow the recipe, if i make it (dressing) I make it how I want it to taste and everyone likes it to taste different. She tried to tell me thats how Italians cook... I'm Italian, a certified executive chef with a degree from Johnson and Wales University, and I run a restaurant! Italians follow their ancestors recipes so they dont dissapoint their la famiglia looking down on them from above. As a Chef and Restaurateur I know consistency is key as guests expect a certain experience. Once you toss out a recipe and make anything to your own taste (unless its a special or featured dish) you mess up. The lady that answered the phone hung up on me after her little lies were exposed as bad business. Called back and spoke to the manager Bob, who told me not to order for another 3 weeks cause thats how long they keep their dressing. Seriously? You guys are a joke of an "Italian" restaurant. How bout you act like a chef and fix the dressing instead of letting a horrendous product ride for 3 weeks. I didn't even want anything free or a discount on my next meal. I was just trying to be an industry guy and give them a heads up cause ik i respect a fellow chefs opinions. Tried Pizza Vino today for the first time since moving to the area about a year and a half ago. I wish I had tried them sooner rather than relying on local chain pizza . We ordered the BBQ chicken pizza and I added jalapeño to my half . Both sides were great and excellent portion sizes of toppings, but the jalapeño really complimented the sweet BBQ sauce well. The crust was really tasty and crispy. Crust is always a deal breaker with pizza and this one was def on the better side of what I've ever had. They have won a repeat customer today . UPDATE: had delivery today ( 6/18/17) and tried something new , got the hot wings and spicy pizza fries ... soooo awesome!! Best wings I've had in the area, great heat and flavor ! So many "wing" places sacrifice flavor for heat , these had both! The pizza fries had lots of cheese , bacon and jalapeños, a welcome change from the mass amount of places in the area that sells you soggy fries with nacho cheese on them. Delivery showed up 10 earlier than was quoted as well. So far, this place can do no wrong! read more

We are travelling here from Maryland for the weekend and just got to Country Inn & Suites. This was a recommendation from the front desk clerk and boy was it a great one. We got the BBQ Chicken Pizza. First, It came in less than 30 minutes. Second, The pizza was hot and all of the ingredients are very fresh. Third, OMG, it tastes great too!!!
