7.24.25 I needed a pedi as my current polish was peeling and I need pretty manicured feet for my travel to Japan tomorrow. I called to see if I could book an appointment and was able to come in immediately. When I arrived, it was fairly quiet. Hanna was my technician. She was very personable and I was happy to converse with her since I am self-conscience speaking in Vietnamese and she understood me. Hanna helped me pick a summery color and I decided to go with hot pink which she said complemented my skin tone. She was thorough and took her time. She informed me that the salon is under new management and it has been renovated with different wall color, hardwood floor, and updated workstations and massage chairs. I'm in town for business and decided that I needed to get a new set. Saw this place had really decent reviews, so I decided to give it a shot and try my luck. While I was waiting for my old set to be soaked off, I decided to get a pedicure. The pedicure was nice and the paint job was good. When it came time for my new set, I explained that I wanted a pink and white ombré. My pointer finger and some were cut really short, and I asked for some of the other nails to be evened out so that it wouldn't look super out of place, but the lady kept saying they're evenly matched to the other hand so she didn't want to shorten them. The powder itself was terrible. I could clearly see where the white and pink were defined because it hadn't been blended well. I spoke up - which I usually never do - and asked if she could blend the colors. At this point, her coworker came by and also looked at them, and agreed and instructed her on how to fix it. From this point on, the tech started to get really rough on my hands, leaving three cuticle cuts. She ended up blending some nails not not doing much with the others. When I usually go get my nails done, the technicians are usually very open to hearing what the customer wants, and I felt like she just got upset that I didn't like what she was doing. I'm just going to go get them fixed at another salon; I wouldn't even want to come back and have the owner touch them after the techs kept trying to convince me they were pretty. read more

Maybe I'm just picky idk but I just feel like these acrylics look terrible. The shape is not what I wanted. They are uneven, and you can see my nail. They don't line up properly. I decided to give this place a try since it was close to home but honestly never again. Cannot wait until these pop off and I JUST got them yes ****Update: 10 days later. My pinky nail broke off on 5/7.. I got these nails on 5/3. Never have I had issues with acrylics this soon. I have my nails done where they would grow out so well with my natural nail and I could just paint over them. I could usually get 3-4 weeks (and that's pushing it if I'm lucky). So disappointed. I had an appt at 10am with my friend, but due to traffic I got there at 10:05am. As soon as I walk in the front desk lady was being absolutely disrespectful to me. She had said "I dont have time for you, dont have time for this" and continued to huff and puff. Mind you the Spa was not busy at all, she then continued to "shoo-ed" me away. My daughter and I came here for manicures on a weekday evening. I received the best manicure I have ever had from Fu. He was very attentive to each nail and took his time cleaning up my cuticles and nail bed. He was generous with the gel coating and my nails look great. Lily gave my daughter a full acrylic set and filed them to a point, as requested. She also said that it was the best manicure she has had. Small and old polish selection. My friend got an outstanding pedicure. My technician on the other hand, tried to polish my toes even though there was very little polish left in the bottle. The polish ended up looking gross and streaky. She whacked my toes with a pair paper flip flops she was trying to dry them with. She proceeded to re-polish them in the same streaky manner. She whacked them AGAIN, and re-repolished them in a way that looked relatively worse than before. Yikes! read more

This is a nice little salon with great manicurists. My nail technician removed old dipping powder nails attentively and gave me a nice gel manicure. She really tried to pay attention to detail. Two issues, though. One - one of my nails ended up pointier than I wanted (I asked for round.) Two, and this is a major issue - the nail polish was obviously thickening and drying out. My technician was working hard to do this my right, but it's hard with chunky polish. My gel manicure ended up looking lumpy as a result. Stopped here on a road trip.  They were open on sunday and did not require an appointment. The first place I stopped required an appointment so I had to find another place on yelp. They were very nice on the phone and was ready for me when I arrived. Very nice people.  Good quality brand polishes.  I got a Gel manicure for $30 and basic pedicure for $25. The pedicure chairs massage was nice and they did a good job on my toes. Foot massage, scrub, lotion, hot towel all included. No hot stone was used.  Overall a good experience. I gave 4 instead of 5 because the gel polish was a little thick like the polish was getting old. I use the harmony brand all the time so its not the brand, the polish was getting old.  The essie polish used on my toes was fine. I would definitely visit again. read more

Hands down the best nail salon I've been to in Maryland. I didn't grow up in the area, but I've spent a few years in Baltimore and haven't been able to find a salon nearly as good as Lavender Nails. I'm not as concerned with the massages and pampering that come with getting your nails done - but when it comes to nicely shaping and polishing nails, this place is fantastic. The salon is clean, the tools are hygienic, the techs are friendly, and the prices are very affordable.
