My first impression was negative and I should have walked out right then: the barber's cape. This thing was CRUUUUSTY. Tored up a bit at the neck and with residues of many other people's DNA around the neck Then there was the issue of the roughness. It felt like I was in a boxing match, with my head being knocked around every other way with his hands and the machines he was using. About the cut itself, Mr. Ray basically did whatever he wanted. He Give me a "conservative gent's" cut, as he called it: not nearly as much as I requested him to cut. And the cherry on top: when shaving the back of my neck (with trimmer) it felt as if he was doing it with needles and knives, with the end result being huge, raised, furious RED WELTS on my neck that I still have three days later. So bad that I have been applying antibiotics to them. In conclusion, if what you enjoy is a dirty, incredibly overpriced, Rough, underwhelming, and potentially infectious haircut, then Sugar Ray (and this place) is your man.

But the place is kind of a mess, and needed a good wipe down and sweep, and the atmosphere was kind of hectic. At least it was late in the day a week before school starts and kids getting ready with last minute cuts. The prices have gone up -- $22 for a men's cut, which is on the low side of typical for the area. I'll probably be back, but I'm likely to make an appointment next time.

my husband and our 14 yr old son went to this place yesterday for a haircut, my son ,being a…read moretypical indecisive teenager had his dad pick a hairstyle from photos the shop provided ( the choice was made according to his features and hair type ) let me tell you that its the worst bowl cut ive ever seen in my life ( yes were asian) first, it wasnt a bowl cut that was asked hes 14 years old! 2nd,the lady barber apparently was smiling as she was "trying" to fix the mishap 3rd, it absolutely didnt look like she even tried 4th,lady barber is also asian and was expected to know what shes doing 5th, my son isnt even picky nor complains.. but he did 6th.. please do a better job. theres a lot of us in the area who wants to put our trust and business with you. we had high hopes. just do better. its good that its winter and its still acceptable for my son to wear a beanie until his hair grows back from its current ridiculous state
