This is the review I wish I found as I agonized about purchasing Ella Bubbles' walk-in lay down tub and most everyone discouraged me. I missed having a regular bath tub when we moved to a new place, but I'm old and it made no sense to climb into a standard tub for a shower as I age. So I bought the lay down tub so I'd have both. It's just like a walk in shower, but a bath too. I love it and highly recommend it if you like a lay down tub. And I was concerned that the two-thirds shower door they sell with it would get water all over. One plumber rolled his eyes and said it won't work. He was wrong. It works great with my original shower head I had. So you don't have to worry about that. And in fact I like it better. I can turn off water and grab a towel whereas before I had to leave the shower to get the towel. And the company is very helpful. Julie patiently worked with me when I had so many questions. Then they have a tech person who you can call or text with questions. If you want a lay down tub don't hesitate to buy this one. read more

We remodeled the master bathroom, gutting it and starting afresh - walk-in tub, shower, vanity, flooring, wall covering, lights. We replaced a jacuzzi tub with a walk-in tub. We looked at a ton of suppliers and were highly impressed with Ella's Bubbles - the visual look of the tub, the quality of the engineering. The Lounger walk-in tub by Ella's Bubbles is great. The service folks at Ella's have been responsive to phone calls and resolving a few issues. We love the tub. It looks great, it's super easy to operate, it's super easy to keep clean, and it does a great job with the jets. Fill time is 2-4 minutes and drain time is 60-90 seconds with a dual drain. While it's draining we clean the tub and by the time we've wiped it down the drain is complete. Great tub. read more

Great selections of different sized tubs to fit our limited space and fit bodies that are 6'1" and 5'1". Quick ship and helpful agents and bought a Lounger Outward Swing door walk-in OA2660HH. Installation was reasonable and went without a hitch. However after the first couple of uses, there's a flaw with their setup on this unit. The back jets have two up near the top that are great for the upper back, but it means you can only use the 5 back jets at all if the tub water level is above these two upper jets. Otherwise water everywhere when you turn on the pump. If you are leaning on the upper two so your back mostly blocks them, it works OK, EXCEPT the switch to turn on the jets is on the opposite end of the tub so you have to lean forward (uncovering the jets) to turn the pump on. This is even though I'm 6'1", let alone my partner at 5'1". Basically you can't use the back jets unless the water is very high (up to about the drain control overflow level). Disappointing... To fix this, I'm going to have to relocate the pump control switch to the back of the tub (and somehow plug the old hole), and probably plug the two upper jets so the 5'1" person can use the tub without getting in too deep. read more

Th etub was drop-shipped and very well-packaged, labeled and protected. This is a quality unit with high-grade components and workmanship. The installation is involved, and not suggested for DIY unless highly-skilled. I called technical support twice and questions were immediately resolved. The unit tested out without andy leaks or malfunctions. My only constructive criticism involved the installation guides and product information. There is a lot of material in separate form and it makes it harder to follow step-by-step,. I would suggest an entire clean slate approach to customer technical information. read more

Just be sure to download the instruction manual and cleaning/maintenance guide from their website beforehand (not for sure if ours didn't come with them or our private contractor/installer didn't save them for us) because all buttons, bells and whistles are not labeled/marked as to each one's purpose, so kind of trial and error. The Monaco walk-in tub is everything I hoped it would be..love the heated seat feature and all the various levels of settings for the bubbles whirlpool massages. When I went looking for a walk in tub, I had very specific needs, it needed to be wheelchair accessible. It had to have a low threshold.
