We worked with Lien for our guest bathroom remodel. This was our first major remodel where we hired an external contractor to do the work; the contractor recommended J&D for getting as many parts for our remodel as possible. This turned out to be a great recommendation! There were a few issues with the tub and toiler we got, but these were manufacturer issues and not anything caused by J&D. However, J&D corrected the issues immediately and went to bat for us with the manufacturer, so there were no costs incurred to us and only a very minor delay to our project. Overall, we'll definitely go back to J&D for future remodels and hope to work again with Lien in particular. read more

I worked with Lien for a replacement vanity for our powder room. We had a lovely but impractical Kohler glass bowl and needed something more sturdy but elegant when our little one arrived. I did some cost comparison with a couple of the larger wholesale bath and kitchen retailers in Chicago, and the inventory at J&D was more what I was looking for and best value. Lien was very patient with my MANY questions, I was trying to recreate an image from a brochure. Having never done a project like this, I was extremely nervous. The resulting vanity, top, and faucet, is perfect. It's beautiful (even our guests were impressed), gave us more storage space and sturdy enough to serve as another station for toddler handwashing and morning tooth brushing. read more

She listened to our needs and went above and beyond for design suggestions and made things less stressful. The service is outstanding. I called yesterday frantically in need of a bathtub because the Kohler tub I ordered 6 weeks ago still wasn't in and my contractor needed to get started immediately. Tabb talked me through everything on the phone to make sure he had in stock what I needed. I rushed over there and he took great care of me and found a tub and a drain in a matter of minutes. I know this guys for few years. What makes them exceptional is the the knowledge and the productivity rate. Before I worked with them I would spend literally 1-2 on selecting finishes. It was a pain. With them I spend in average for a build I spend 1-2 hours for everything and 30min later I see a quote in my inbox. I got a Toto toilet, Graff faucets, MTI tub, and Robern LED medicine cabinets, all the latest styles in matte black. They have much better service and prices than other bath suppliers. First of all, Thank you Mike! Midway during our renovation, we came across a HOA / draining complication that rendered our steam shower project extremely cost prohibitive. So last minute, we had to change to a tub shower combo. We checked out a few places that sold alcove tubs but they were so far from the look we wanted. I phoned Mike at J&D and he recommended a few options that fit the look we were going for. He even had them in stock and ready for pick up the next day. We were so extremely thankful. I am presently in the midst of a hellacious bathroom-cum-kitchen redo, but I feel it's important to say something about J&D and about the two classy gents who have helped me navigate the nasty ins-and-outs of "high-end" indoor plumbing (guffaw!), whose name starts with "California" and ends with "Faucets." This is clearly not a product endorsement for the above faucet-maker (not yet, anyway; we shall see), and indeed I am at my wit's end with its tempestuous, if sublimely beautiful, products, but despite all the vexing delays and setbacks this particular manufacturer has caused me, I remain unfailingly impressed with the steadfast professionalism, savoir-faire, and good humor Tabb and Jeff have shown me throughout the entire process. My delay had the plumber demanding material "yesterday" Mike from J&D helped me pick some great stuff and his price was less than the other two places I visited. We stopped in J&D to look for a new kitchen faucet to replace one that had broken. We met Jeff who very, VERY kindly informed us that we didn't need to buy a new faucet but simply replace a part. Jeff showed us what part needed to be fixed and sent us in the direction of the Faucet Shoppe to do so. So, rather than spend $400 on a new faucet, it only cost us $50 for the part. Jeff could have very easily sold us a new faucet as we were expecting to buy. We wouldn't have known the difference. J&D's professionalism is to be commended. I recently stopped into J & D Whirlpool Kitchen and Bath on the recommendation of a friend. We are completely redoing our master bath, and I needed a tub, fixtures and a shower door. Mike was very patient and worked with my budget, suggesting great solutions to some of my design problems. He went above and beyond to show me tubs that he thought would work but were still in boxes in the storeroom. He had his guys open 2 or 3 of them so I could have a look. Then, when I chose the shower fixtures, the one I liked was showing as not yet available in the system. He called the rep for the company to find out why the item was listed in the catalog but not available. Turned out that the company was going to make it available within days. Random find while I was in the Target store and saw teh sign. I had been looking for a reasonable priced bathroom vanity that looked somewhat decent. The sales man - who I think is the owner, was great and really knows his inventory. He asked me a couple of questions about style price etc and immediately presented me with three options, one of which was perfect. He knows his merchandise . JD is a small showroom, but that did not not matter to me as he has access to order many items and you can see a picture in the catalog and often online too.
