Lele is super friendly and nice, but beyond that, she is great at what she does. I had her do a gel mani for me, and I was impressed by her superior attention to detail and eye for aesthetics. My mani came out super cute (see pic)! she even applied sunscreen to the back of my hands before putting them under the uv light, which was really thoughtful of her. Btw i think i'm addicted to gel manicures. They last way longer than regular polish because each coat is cured under the uv light, so there's no chipping whatsoever for at least 2-3 weeks! After a couple of weeks i do experience some peeling at the base of my nails where new growth occurs, but it's pretty minimal and can be alleviated with a layer of regular topcoat. The only caveat about gel manis is the removal process -- you have to soak your nails in pure acetone and then file the rest off. Trust me, it's a task best left to professionals. Prices are reasonable and she also offers waxing and facial services, which i may have to look into next time. read more

The first time I got a gel manicure here, I was in love. Staff was friendly and they did a superb job. It was recommended that I make a reservation for future appointments. Since I had a wedding coming up, I called a week in advance and asked for select nail techs for my mani and pedi. When I arrived on the said appointment date, they were short staffed and I was not notified of this. The original nail tech did not do the full set and I had another associate fulfill the pedicure. I've haven't left a nail salon this dissatisfied in a while. I rarely have acrylics on but since my nails were short I opted for it. I wanted a French Tip and the associate didn't listen to this. The French looked so bad on a clear tip that I had to paint my nails white - all white. The paint on my nails were smudged by the time I left and I had no energy to ask for a redo. I'm so sorry but definitely will reconsider before coming here again. read more

Lele is the sweetest and genuine person ever. You can tell that she really takes care of her customers and puts them first. I had my Brazilian wax done here and she made everything as smooth and painless as possible. She even turned on Friends for me to watch so that I'm distracted from it. She puts complimentary numbing cream and has a full on conversation with you to make you feel at ease. I've already told me girlfriends to come here and I'll be a regular! I really enjoy coming to Elle Bella! I've been 4 times now and each time I've been very pleased with my nails. Lele (pronounced Lilly) takes great care in her work product. In fact, I recently brought a friend with me who gets her nails done a lot more than I do and she noticed how meticulous Lele was with my nails and said she could tell that Lele knows what she's doing. Today, I mentioned that my nails were chipping (it wasn't the nail paint/gel - it's just my nails) and Lele said that she would try something different underneath the gel that would help. She said that she was happy I mentioned it to her because otherwise she wouldn't have known and she's always willing to try different things to make sure her clients have the best nails. She said that each customer is different. I think that speaks very highly of her. She also seems to treat her staff well which helps make the experience all the more enjoyable. Oh, and the massage chairs are wonderful! Before coming to Elle Bella, I never really knew why so many people insisted on getting their nails done because I guess I never experienced a place like this but I can say that every 3 weeks, I look forward to making my appointment. I've been going to LeLe for over 10 years (since her La Belle Spa days) and I couldn't imagine going anywhere else. Every time I come in LeLe is in the most positive mood which only brings everyone else up. She cares so much for each of her customers and makes sure she acknowledges every single person that enters her salon. On top of that, no matter who you have doing your nails you'll walk out completely satisfied. Lele the owner is amazing!! This hard working lady gives you 100% of her talent with her stylish nails, facials and waxing. She is a perfectionist and you will leave there feeling like family because she cares so much. I have been going to Lele since year 2000 and followed her until she opened her own shop. My husband gets pedicures as well. I leave feeling brand new and have belly aches from laughing with her. She also has amazing clients and I met my best friend at her shop. Do not come here if you're picky with your nails especially acrylics. I've been getting acrylics for years and on a desperate occasion decided to give this place a try. She took me in last minute but my nails were HORRIBLE. First, she did acrylic nails in the most BIZARRE shape I have ever seen. They weren't square or oval but rather an in between and I had asked for square. They were completely flared out at the ends like the nails back 20 years ago maybe. IMPORTANT: If you don't believe me, there are MULTIPLE reviews that state the owner up selling and people's gel coming off the next day due to the thickness. The owner then tried to tell me that gel is way better than regular nail polish which I already get but didn't give me a chance to tell her. However, she put on about 2-3 coats and they were so thick that the gel completely came off the next day. WTF!!! Like W T F. I always get gel at other salons and they have never lifted like this. My nails were SOOO thick I wish I took a picture of them. I wasted my money completely. I'll never come here again in my life and you shouldn't either. They have no idea how to do nice, quality nails. Spend your money elsewhere. read more

I can't remember how long I have been coming to Elle Bella Spa... let's just say it's been a long time! LeLe and Larry and the team do a fabulous job on my nails, I trust them implicitly. On occasion, I have had to go elsewhere while I was traveling and have never had as good of an experience like I do @ Elle Bella Spa. Getting a mani-pedi with a hot stone massage is worth it's weight in gold! I love my gel French manicure, it lasts for weeks! read more

I had a very frustrating experience here. I came at 3:40. Asked if they had time to do a gel mani and pedi and get me out by 5. They said yes, no problem! And then I waited. And waited. They started my pedi at 4. But then took other customers who came in and my pedi started and stopped. It's now 5:15 and I'm just getting my toes polished. I haven't started my hands and I've literally got to go. I understand if you don't have time. But just be honest with me up front. I would have come back at a different time or gone up the road. Also sadly the polish job is just super sloppy. I'm super disappointed and frustrated. It's now 5:40. And I'm just now finished. With my pedi. In what world does a pedi take 2 hours? And they never even started on my hands. They also have hella people waiting who say they have appointments. read more

Scheduled my nail appointment and walked in only to wait for 30 minutes. She took her sweet time talking to the other customers who also had walked in and added on requests. Once I told her that I would reschedule instead, she said "no no I can finish yours on time". Once I sat down and she looked at the design I wanted she said, "Yeah I can't finish that in an hour." Awesome massage spa chairs: 5/5. Pretty good mani-pedi with sea salt scrub and hot stones: 5/5. The price was right: $24 plus tip with a coupon from their website: http://www.ellebellaspa.com/ Oh, and speaking of the coupon, it proclaims: "Gentlemens welcome"! And, indeed, there were a couple of guys getting pedicures whose masculinity definitely did not seem to be threatened at all. Gender equality rules! Waiting half an hour even though I had an appointment was not cool but being given a massage spa chair to wait in (seriously, better than some massages with real people that I've had) made it okay. Very nice, friendly service. The location is small, cozy, sorta like having your funny Vietnamese aunt doing your nails in her house. And I loved the hot towels. Tiny parking lot but there's plenty of street parking. I'll be back! read more

Ok. First off. I guess a lot of people's standards on nails and cleanliness is poorly judged. None of their tools were sanitized. Same tools, buffers and nail filers were used on other people before me. Ewwww. Ewwww I asked the guy doing my pedi 4 x. Please cut my cuticles. All he did was scrape them back and not cut it. He got mad at me for asking. Not sure about anyone else but not sure why they have high ratings ? Where I sat - has used napkin on my chair handle - someone's candy rapper and used tool ?!?! Really? Competitions is way too high and someone that doesn't speak English is not a plus either. No smile no hello. NOTHING. This was waste of time read more

After a long a grueling weekend, I was in need of a gel mani. Elle was the only local place that was open pass 5pm in La Crescenta. I called at around 6:30 pm and spoke with Lily to see if she could still accommodate me on such short notice. For those who get their nails done, they know it takes at least an hour just for a gel mani. Lily was more than happy to take me in. When I arrived, I was greeted with open arms. Lily asked if I wanted, I could get a pedi done too, so I accepted. Lily and her staff really take their time and worked hard to do a good job. They took the extra mile to make sure I was comfortable. I could not be thankful enough with the service Lily provided and the nice work she did on my French tips. Had my first gel nail manicure today. A beautiful job by LeeLee. She's so meticulous. I hate painting my nails, but gel polish stays on longer and uses your real nails. No more painful removal of acrylics because all you have to do is soak them in acetone. Nice....right??? Did I mention her awesome hot stone massages that come w/ your pedicure? My friend told me about this place about a month ago and I trust my friend when she tells me a place is good! I asked my friend to grab us an appointment and they were available (: As you walk in its a small cozy place and right away I was greeted by three ladies. They asked what we needed and I told them we had an appointment and right away was seated. I wish I asked who the woman was who did my nails because she was super friendly and extremely good at her job! I love my nails and I definitely will be back! I found this nail salon on Yelp and I'm so pleased with the service! I did a gel mani and pedi this last week and my nails look amazing! I've been to many nail salons that not only cost more, but really do not put the care and effort in like Elle Bella Spa. I would highly recommend this place. And I also went back for a facial/massage--Lily is so talented!! Again had other facials/massages at very expensive places that didn't come close to the service here. A one start for my gel nails and five star for my pedicure . My gel nails took forever and I think it was because of the polish. He put coat after coat after coat and it was very difficult for the coat to come out even . My nails look really bad and it's mainly because of the product . My pedicure was great. This is a no frills place, but the employees are really nice and work hard to make their customers happy. I came in recently for a long-overdue pedicure ($17) which included a nice hot-stone massage for my legs and feet - ahhh. The technician that did my toes was very careful and shaped my nails nicely. There was a very rude customer who sat next to me and barked orders in a non-stop fashion to the technicians that were attempting to do her pedicure and manicure. She was super-obnoxious and ended up leaving in a huff after a few minutes because she deemed the technicians were ignoring her instructions. From what I could tell, they both seemed to be super-patient with her and really did their best to listen to her orders and execute accordingly. The salon manager apologized profusely and did her best too to try to fix the perceived "wrong". That incident was a great example of the effort they are willing to make to satisfy all of their clients - even the demanding and rude ones. In short, Ella Bella did a great job on my pedicure, and this will definitely go on my list of go-to nail salons. read more

My mother and I have been clients of LeeLee's for about 5 years now. We followed her around to wherever she moved until she finally opened this store. She is the best at what she does and no one is better, whether it be manicures, pedicures, waxing, facials, or massages. She is so grateful for her customers so she treats everyone well and won't rip you off. For example, I tend to be quite clumsy and impatient when getting my manicures done, so I always mess up a nail or 2 before it's fully dry. LeeLee and her helpers have no problem redoing and fixing it without extra charge. She is very meticulous about her facials and waxing too. The quality of my skin has improved tremendously since my pre-teen breakout years. She takes her time and wants to make sure your skin is clean! She also doesn't try to rush her massages. Whenever I get a 60 minute massage, I usually end up getting 65 or 70 minutes. She wants to make sure you're comfortable and taken care of and less concerned about you paying for each minute. At first, I would only allow LeeLee to do my manicures and pedicures, but the 2 ladies she has helping her now are just as good as she is! They also take their time and make sure your nails look great. They do designs and acrylic. They're even up to the latest trends of gel nails and the shattered effect. Trust me, they look beautiful! I think the best part is that her prices are affordable. She won't burn a hole in your wallet and she's more concerned about the quality of her work than earning a profit. No one is better than LeeLee and I highly recommend Elle Bella Spa. read more

The worst customer service!!!! No respect to clients!!! I used to like this place. I even recommended it to all my friends. I have been trying to schedule an appt. but every time she was making up some stories. So today I called at 2pm to schedule again another appt. she said we are busy can you come at 7:30pm. I said yes. I went. And she wassssss ohhhh I forgot about you. And then you have to wait 30-40 min. I said I couldn't. And you know what she offered. Go, baby, shop at Ralph's and back!!!!!!! Leelee is the best! I will never go to a different person after her. I go to leelee to get my gel mani and brazilian wax. She does the best nail, and always makes sure that they are perfect. If you have never gotten a brazilian I DEFINATELY recommend her. I have gone to a few places for this wax and with her she makes you feel comfortable and it BARELY hurts. I also get my nails done from mimi and she is amazing. She give you extra long massages and does such a great job on my nails. She is the best! My whole family goes to elle bella and I bring all my friends there and they now all go there too. If you live in la crescenta area, there is no one that beats leelee TRUST ME I have been to everyone. worst massage in town. no lie…read more at least for my experience. i brought my girlfriend here for a couple massage for her birthday. 90 minute couples massage. first five minutes was mild at best. we had to ask them to massage with a little bit more effort. shortly after it was pure sharp elbows, digging into our backs from the weight of their bodies, which overhang above. they use gravity and their elbows in an effort to avoid actually expanding effort or using their muscles at all. i don't know about you, but that's not a massage to me. shortly after i looked over to my side to notice that the man that was massaging, my girlfriend was sitting down on the bed lightly massaging her upper back with no more than a few fingers contact. there was no effort or work there. just sitting lounging doing the absolute minimum contact possible. this was almost the same for me however, my masseuse, also using only one hand, would pause for many seconds at a time before exerting some pressure then again another break of many seconds before pressure again. she was systematically conserving energy and then applying the minimum level of pressure from one hand only. after a couple warnings, she finally started to get that. i am not gonna leave us alone and she started massaging more correctly. then excuse the man who was pretending to massage my girlfriend and replaced him with a woman that was massaging me. then they sent one man to massage me who was lazy and barely doing anything so let him go when they sent him them yet. another one who is doing the same thing. at about 45 minutes i finally told him to leave me alone and just continue with my girlfriend. i don't know how it's possible that others aren't reporting this more often, but i cannot speak on what i do not know but what i do know is if you are sore, tired, and just looking for some muscle, relief and relaxation and you expect some discernible level of quality and effort than do not come here. these people do not care at all about giving you a good experience and i gave them multiple chances they are lazy and do not care about their customers at least not for my girlfriend and i if you doubt me at all, please read my other reviews. i'm very honest in my reviews and i take great care to be fair. and i write these to help others. it certainly doesn't provide me any benefit other than that. thank you for reading and feel free to contact me if you'd like more information

I walked out with my skin feeling dry and tight, with none of the results I had experienced before. My skin wasn't moisturized, plump, or glowing. For $390, I expected to see and feel a noticeable difference, especially since I already knew what this treatment was capable of. The technician was informative and explained what she was doing throughout the facial, which I appreciated. However, the overall result was still extremely disappointing. I don't know if the products have changed, the treatment has changed, or if something else was different, but something clearly wasn't the same as my previous experiences. I've been one of LeeLee's customers for 3 years and the reason is because she's simply the best. I knew that I found a truly special place when each time I had an appointment, customers from her prior salons showed up for the service only she can provide. Lee Lee calls everyone "my baby" and she sincerely cares about taking care of her customers. She works long hours to accommodate her customers' schedules and, at last, she's found assistants who meet her extremely high standards. They do manicures (including the miraculous gel manicures - no one around is better than LeeLee), spa pedicures, waxing, and massages. It's a small place, and that's part of its charm. Go there and you'll find the place for all your "maintenance" (in the words of Nora Ephron). Just be sure to book an appointment. Elle Bella takes walk ins but because they're so great, they're also quite busy. You won't regret going to Elle Bella, but you will wonder why you waited so long. read more

She's the only nail salon I've been to that truly cares about providing a great customer experience and always puts her customers first. If someone has a concern they should speak up and let her know. Not only does she put her customers first, she always finds a way to make them feel welcome at any hour. Lily did a great job and it is so obvious she cares for her customers.... she was deliberate to sunscreen my hands before they went into the UV light and she gave me motherly advice as to how to avoid dry cuticles (which I needed!). They chip and crack after 4 days. Today I tried calling them twice, to ask if I could come in so she could fix it, but she didnt even let me speak over the phone. I told her no showed her a different design, but she insisted on doing the same design. It took a lot longer than she wanted. I explained to her that I did not want it in the first place she shouldn't have done it. I showed her what I wanted because I wasn't trusting that that design was gonna come off again. She got highly upset after she made the mistake as if it was my fault. I'm only writing this review because I really enjoyed going there and I really enjoyed getting my nails done with her one of the ladies there comes and tapped me on the shoulder and tells me that Kathy doesn't have time and I told her she's gonna do it because I paid her already. She explained that I will no longer be allowed to get my nails done there all of this because she made the mistake redid them twice not what I wanted, was late to her next appointment because she didn't listen to me in the first place. when I first got there at 9 AM and she didn't get there till 915 almost 920 to start my nails. I guess her being late was my fault too so even though I was kind, never rude did not yell kept my calm, I was told that I was not allowed to get my nails done there any longer that Kathy said she would no longer do my nails again because my designs take too long and it was to much for her. she made the mistakes and did not properly apply the polish, she admitted that to me. somehow I was to blame, so I'm giving them a one star for their customer service and for telling me not to come back to the shop because my nails take too long and it was to much for her to deal with my nails. Great tips good laughs and they treat me this way. I guess that's how nail shops do it nowadays they don't like you or your designs are too much for them to deal with they ask you not to come back. I usually don't write reviews, but I have to share my experience with this nail salon…read more I called ahead before coming in because I wanted to make sure they could do acrylic. When I arrived, I was greeted up front and sat down for my pedicure. As soon as I put my feet in the water, it started burning. I told the lady it burns and asked if she could change the water. She tapped my foot and said no and told me to put it back in. After that, it became clear they didn't want to do the acrylic work, even though I called ahead. About five ladies surrounded my feet and kept repeating "gel" and "acrylic" for several minutes while talking to each other and laughing. The lady doing my toes then said they couldn't charge it as a fill and that it had to be a full set. I told her, "Wait, this is a full set." She mumbled and told me to ask the lady next to her, so I did, and that lady said, "Okay, just do a fill." Then I asked how much acrylic would be. They all started talking to each other and ignored me. After a few minutes I asked again, and one of the ladies looked at me and said, "We will not tell you right now. We will let you know." That made me feel like they were keeping the price vague so they could charge me more than what my fill actually should be. At that point I said never mind and walked out. This was one of the most unprofessional experiences I've had at a nail salon, and it made me extremely uncomfortable. I will never go back. I truly wish I could give this place 0 stars--they do not know how to treat people. Even some of the ladies in the salon told me I wasn't wrong for leaving.
