Located off of T.C. Jester in the Heights, Elliot's Table is the perfect neighborhood restaurant for dinner service. This New American restaurant is warm, cozy, has a lots of charms, and the outdoor patio added the relaxed and casual vibe. The staffs are friendly and personal. Chef-owner Elliot Roddy is pretty hands-on. We saw him while having dinner. While there's no cocktails, the wine menu is extensive and there are some beer options. The food is excellent, and the portion is more than enough to share family style. We sampled couple appetizers and only had enough room to share one main dish. Thai Chili Ribs added sprouts (4.5/5), Grilled Portuguese Octopus (5/5), Drunken Mussels (4/5), cucumber& tomato salad (4/5), cheddar burger with hand cut fries (4.5/5). This is definitely one of our favorites in the neighborhood and I'd highly recommend! P.S. they only open Wed-Sat for dinner service and it's best to call ahead and make a reservation.

I came here for my birthday recently and thought the service and ambiance were both outstanding! I did think the prices were a little steep on some items. They have a great steak night deal for 30 dollars! We got the Gorgonzola Mac and cheese for an appetizer and it was really good. I thought it would be a good idea to add an extra flavor to counter the strong cheese flavor. If you want chicken or shrimp added it is an extra 9 dollar charge. I got the seafood pasta for my entree which was delicious! There were large prawns and crab meat inside with a creole pasta sauce which was very flavorful. It would have also been nice if they did something extra like a birthday dessert was given. Overall, I will likely come back here again!

One of our favorite restaurants; it's the best kind of neighborhood restaurant but also upscale and casual enough at the same time. Located in Timbergrove Heights area on T C Jester. We saw Chef Elliot there at dinner service tonight. The staff are top notch. The food is quality, cooked well, and are a good portion size for family style sharing. We got a few appetizers to share; mussels (4/5), Thai ribs (5/5), octopus (4.5/5), and cucumber salad (4/5). We split a very solid cheddar burger with fries (4/5). The highlights are the brussell sprouts for me, and the overall appetizer selection is hard to go wrong.

The food is fantastic the service was incredible everybody there was so nice and accommodating, the thai chili ribs had right amount of seasoning , the pork chop dish i absolutely devoured lmao it was very tender , the chimichurri steak could've been a little more seasoned and tender but giving it a 5 star because of service and attention to detail, and the ambiance was cozy with dim lighting.

Service was good, well the server didn't let us try our food before asking if it was good. Atmosphere was good. Issue was the food. My girlfriend got the beef stroganoff and it tasted like hamburger helper except even less flavorful? Also it was cold like it was microwaved? Ate a few bites of it and she threw it out. I got grits and shrimp, it was ok, idk why they don't remove the heads of the shrimp for you? Cheese grits didn't taste like grits at all but more like sweet potato. Not bad food just strange. Overall very expensive for bad food idk why its rated so high

What a delicious little bistro! We did an early Galentine's dinner there last night and loved every minute of our experience. We started with wine, bread service and the crispy brussel sprouts, and then some of us split our mains because the portions are large. Those who didn't all went home with leftovers. My girlfriend and I split the wedge salad (was dressed perfectly) and the cod served a top a bed of crab and veggies (roasted okra, carrots, green beans). Loved this dish. Know that they charge $6 to split plates (they kindly told us in advance). And parking is tight, but there's some street parking, and we were also told we could park in front of the back building. 5 stars. Looking forward to another visit.

This place is so quaint yet upscale. The inside is very small, so I recommend calling for reservations, although we got in quickly when we arrived early. The staff is extremely knowledgeable and friendly. The chef/owner was walking around greeting customers, I appreciate that. My son ordered a steak, he was very pleased. I tried a bite as well. I am not a steak fan so I cannot rate but it had a crisp outside and tender inside, flavor was good. I ordered the chili ribs from the shareable menu. I couldn't decide between that and the cucumber tomato salad so i ordered that to go. I'll rate tomorrow :-) The ribs were good, very smoky with a hint of spice and sweet. I don't usually eat mushrooms but i tried the ones served with the dish and they were fantastic The wine selection was great. They also have a select dessert menu. Turns out they were sold out so it must've been good. I saw the staff serve the last slice of pecan spice cake, it looked delicious. This place has several articles rated "best" in local magazines/papers. I would like to come back and try those dishes. They (articles) are listed on the website and framed on the walls of the establishment. I truly enjoyed my evening at Elliot's and look forward to returning.

The service was excellent! They attended me & my friend quickly even in a full restaurant. We were recommended delicious plates with so much flavor. The ambiance of the place is calm & cozy. Has low lighting & nicely decorated.

The appetizers, mussels and octopus, stole the show. The sauce of the mussels was so good- I could have the soup alone as a meal. The steak was a good value but not my favorite. My guess it was 12-16 oz but it had a lot of silver skin making jt hard to eat. I also thought it had WAY too much butter where I couldn't taste the meat. The cook on it was off, ordered medium rare and came out rare. Likely will come back for the appetizers!

My husband saw this place on instagram and decided we should try it. We pulled into the parking lot which was completely full so I called to see where to park and they said down the street by the warehouses. Didn't seem very safe parking our nice car so far from the restaurant. We had reservations and were seated right away. The interior is very small and they had the servers answering calls and seating people. The service was slow, but they were all very nice. We ordered the mussels as our appetizer. They were delicious with great flavors. We then ordered the duck and the seafood pasta. Both dishes were very disappointing. My husband and I had a few bites of each and just decided we couldn't eat it, the pasta tasted liked burn garlic and the taste was so overpowering that I just couldn't eat more than 2-3 bites. Definitely won't be coming back.

All the service here was impeccable. Friday night dinner on the patio was a treat. The restaurant definitely ramps up as the night progresses so i'm glad I was able to snag a table at 6:30. I thought the food was good but not as great as everyone's making it out to be? I'd come back to try other dishes.

Been meaning to try this cozy date spot for a while! It got pretty crowded during prime time but we were able to snag a table without wait when we arrived around 5-6pm. The servers were pleasant and warm, perfectly complementing the ambiance of the restaurant. The mussels are a MUST! The bucket comes with 4 pieces of savory toast and some of the fattest mussels I've ever seen, bathed in a delicious spicy seafood sauce. Our next favorite dish was the duck! The meat was perfectly cooked - slightly rare on the inside, crispy on the outside, and paired really well with the sweet potato spread it came with. We ordered the Gorgonzola Brussels spouts by recommendation but felt like the flavors were too strong with the sauce and blue cheese. Would probably pass on this dish next time, but I'm looking forward to coming back and trying some of their other main items!

Is this place under construction ? Iv always wanted to try it but every time I drive by it has tarps hanging in the front.

They have an outdoor seating area that lies under the tarps or shade fabrics. No construction as far as I know.

    Are there happy hour specials?

I don't know, but good luck getting them to answer the phone to ask.

The various signs adorning the walls were cheeky. For it to be Sasha's only third day on the job, she was attentive and able to give great Happy Hour recommendations (brussel sprouts, sticky ribs, cheeseburger egg rolls). The brussel spouts were a tad too salty, but the biscuits with jalapeño jam that I devoured made up for it lol I was overjoyed by the cheeseburger egg rolls -- I loved the chipotle mayonnaise sauce that accompanied it. The various signs adorning the walls were cheeky. I'd return for the patio seating alone -- the Bourbon flight is a plus ;) Social Hour (3pm - sundown) all summer long EVERYDAY makes this a standout for me. Overall, this was a great value (thanks to my inKind app) with some classic dishes (with a spin). They've just hit on a formula that works: A menu full of crowd-pleasers that are interesting, visually appealing, and really tasty (enough so that you can charge a little more than I want to pay for wings, for example). Combine that with a welcoming space (great outdoor seating, and interesting quotes/decor all over the walls) and an excellent bar and you've got a restaurant worth visiting. Everything we ate was good, from the bread basket on. We shared sticky ribs, cheeseburger egg rolls (a house specialty that shouldn't be missed), wings, pork belly, quail shots (a new one), etc. The cheesesteak, despite being served on a hot dog bun, was pretty tasty, and if you're in the mood for something a bit healthier, the grilled salmon plate was actually excellent. The people back there in the kitchen are doing good work. They also clearly have a whiskey focus (this is America after all); it was too hot for more than one or two whiskey drinks when we came in, but there are like five different old fashioneds on the menu, and giant signage proclaiming them $5 during lunch. I had to get at least one. $5 old fashioneds at lunch can get dangerous very quickly; I would've drank a lot more if our server was more proactive, but it's probably for the best that she left us alone. This is a great choice for a big group, and we'll do it again.

They had specialty cocktails and I settled with their "Baby Breeze" gin based that was refreshing and went down so easily dangerous. Once my party arrived, we were seated at our table for 10 people. Service again was very attentive, but it seemed we were being rushed after finishing our items. While we appreciated the cleanliness, it did feel overbearing and my friend had silverware dropped on him. Their Spring 2026 menu is currently being served and for my meal, I kept it simple and went with medium rare 12oz Prime NY Strip that came with a twice baked potato and choice of sauce, I chose bordelaise. For the price range, I would've thought it be savory and warm, it arrived but was underwhelming. Had minimal flavor and felt the baked potato was better. And the Bludorn rolls were much welcomed and enjoyable with their fluffy and slightly sweet taste. My friend ordered the Baked Alaska, and while the experience (lighting it on fire) was enjoyable, biting into the the dessert caused for leaving the cake unfinished, it tasted burned because the fire wasn't put out in timely manner. Friend shared that their brunch experience was much better than our dinner experience and I am willing to give it another chance for that reason, but if this is a Michelin recommended place, I'd think it would be consistent in it's dishes being enjoyable every time.

I might have just found one of my new favorite restaurants in Houston. What a great experience!…read more Recently, a good friend dined here and immediately called me to tell me how great it was. She then text our friends group and said we all had to come together and we did just that. She made reservations in advance as this place is popular thanks to recent Michelin Bib Gourmand awards as well as many other accolades. Walk ins are welcome as well. Our reservation was later in the evening so after a night of bar hopping, we ride shared in which I think is one of the best options as parking is limited here or you have to find street parking in the neighborhood. This place is literally a house turned into a restaurant. Inside is just multiple rooms with a couple of tables. It makes for a unique, intimate dining experience, perfect for a date night. In our case, we were a group of nine so we got patio seating. The patio is spacious and well kept, and if the weather cooperates, a great place to hang. One thing that really stood out to me is the amazing ambience of this place. I was told that the bartenders pick the music for the night from the owners extensive vinyl collection. Once the album is in, they play it in it's entirety. The sound system was systeming and on top of the great company and food, we were totally vibing with the music. Customer service was amazing. Every staff member we came across was so friendly, especially our server. The menu here changes. There are some mainstays, but they like to change things up. Their website shows current menus daily. We were told that family style is the best way to experience this restaurant. I am one of those people that will always listen to the staff and go with their suggestions. Our group went through quite a bit of their menu from apps, entrees and desserts. I loved that our server and staff brought our food out one by one in what they thought was the best progression so we could take a culinary journey. We started off light with their popular Dilly Bread. Best bread I've had in awhile. Next was the Texas Tartare. It was my first ever tartare and it was delicious. We then moved on to Fingerlingin Good which was a crispy potato dish with chili crisp and mascarpone. It was potatoes elevated to the highest level and so so good. Next up was Beer Battered Sweet Tots. I didn't think sweet potatoes could be that good. Our first entree was a vegan dish called the Carroty Kid. I could seriously become a vegan if all dishes tasted like this. It was curried. A bowl of jasmine rice would've made it a complete meal. Next we tried another famous Nobie's dish called Nonno's Pasta. Handmade, perfectly cooked tagliatelle with a delicious bolognese. I wouldn't share this next time. Ok, I will, but it was that good. On to the heavier dishes. First up was the Jamon With Your Bad Self. This came highly recommended and it did not disappoint. It was favorite heavy entree. It was high quality, iberico pork steak with shaved brussels and all kinds of other tasty ingredients that when combined made such a tasty bite. We then went to the sea with the Drops of Grouperter. It was good, but not something I would order again. It was a little too smoky for my liking. Our biggest dish that came market priced was the Kick His Ass Seabass. This was a whole fish that was presented beautifully on a platter with all the accouterments to make your own elevated fish tacos. We left no morsel of fish behind. It was absolutely delicious. One of the things this place is really known for is their pies. This was the part I was most excited about. Just like their menu, their pies change up. We got all their offerings that night which they presented on one big platter of goodness. Their main stay and I believe always on the menu is the famous Olive Oil Cake. It's not a pie, but I can see why this is such a popular dessert. I can't even describe it, you just have to try it to understand. The pies we had were the Black Bottom Strawberry Pie, Banana Rum, and the Peanut Butter Pie. I would order all of them again. We all had a difference of opinion on which was the best, but my fave was the Banana Rum. Overall, I was highly impressed with this place and kind of mad at myself for waiting so long to make it here. It had made it's way to the top of my list of favorite restaurants in Houston. I will be back.

The first were "natural" and nicely briny. The 2nd was pure genius: they said it would taste like a Big Mac, and they were spot on. Amazing! Steak Tartare - the steak and deviled egg mixture were satisfyingly velvety and the accompanying bread was buttery, chewy, and addictive; Puff Puff Pass - unique textures: crispy, chewy, smooth elements are married beautifully. Nonno's Pasta - this dish was my least favorite. I found the flavors to be too cheese forward with not enough acid; Jamon With Your Bad Self - while not much to look at, this dish was outstanding. The pork's texture was simply magical, and the flavors well-balanced. On the side, we had the Fingerlingin Good potatoes, and they lived up to their name: pleasantly crispy and bursting with savory goodness. Desserts: the Olive Oil Cake was a dream: incredibly moist and tender with vanilla richness and a kiss of lemon. The Black Bottom Pie was not my favorite. I would the salt to be too much and couldn't eat more than 2 bites because of it. Service: warm, gracious, attentive, and efficient. As for ambiance, this is where the restaurant misses the mark for me. It's in an old house, and when we walked in, that's exactly what I smelled: old house. Their menu is very, VERY limited, so if you're a picky eater you may want to check their offerings first before venturing here.

We went for an anniversary brunch on Saturday morning. When they heard it was our anniversary they…read morebrought champagne for us & sparkling soda for the kids so we could all toast! Our waiter was attentive and answered all of the questions. He even checked to see if the kitchen could make chocolate chip pancakes for our little one. Our table ordered the crab Benedict, steak and eggs and chocolate chip pancakes w/ bacon. EVERYONE said their food was delicious and we even had enough to bring home some left overs. The crab Benedict was light (not super heavy like some Benedict's) and the steak was perfectly cooked! The waiter said they used a special type of chocolate chips in the pancakes and even reheated they tasted good! We will definitely be back and I'd love to try for dinner too!

It's off Yale and 14th street and limited valet available so it's easier to get street parking…read more Pluses 1. Drinks are good 2. Brie appetizer is tasty 3. Omelet with racketeering and crawfish etouffee was tasty Areas to improve 1. We booked patio because we wanted to be outside - they had a large baby shower that took over the large room and patio. It looks like it had been planned in advance so it would have been nice to know that the patio was not available . 2. Coffee service - the cup is really small and our server spilled the coffee out of the cup several times. That is just unprofessional to me when the cup is then soaking in the dish with coffee outside the cup. Plus it wasn't refilled as often. 3. Dishes are hit or miss - his shrimp and grits seemed to be a small portion and just bland and blah. 4. Restrooms are really dark 5. Patio outside looks unappealing there are dead plants and lanky wax leaf which gives terrible allergies. Also they have fake plants and also live ones inside the restaurant, but the inside orchids were dried up and dead looking so not fresh or appealing either. I know it's under new management so it might be hit or miss.

Jess is an amazing bartender and always makes us feel welcome…read more The food is fantastic, especially if you enjoy both American and Indian cuisine, they have a great variety of both. The drinks are delicious, and the atmosphere is peaceful and inviting. Every visit has been a great experience, and we'll definitely be back soon.

The restaurant itself is cute, and it was a nice touch that they decorated for FIFA coming to town…read more My disappointment was mainly with the serving sizes and, to an extent, the food quality. The biryani tasted good, the butter chicken tasted good, and the deviled eggs were interesting. The serving sizes aren't worth the price. The butter chicken container was about half full and the biryani just over half. To put it in perspective, there were only two pieces of chicken in the biryani, with the rest of the space filled by a single potato, and the butter chicken had just a handful of pieces. I'm not sure if this is because I'm used to traditional Indian restaurants and this is clearly a fusion place, but the standard expectation is a full container. The bigger issues, though, are these: the naan is a standard frozen variety that is fairly small and you can find at most Indian grocery stores, so charging $3 for a single piece feels excessive. We also found hair in our food. Service was good, though everything we ordered was to-go rather than dine-in. Overall, the experience was underwhelming and I would not go back.
