I will start with the service was AMAZING! From the moment we walked in to the end all the employees were great. We even had the pleasure to meet Jose the General Manager. He came to check on us and offered to refill our hot chocolates. If I was rating this only on service I would have given them 5 stars. But I have to rate the food which I feel bad about because the service was so great. So food rating would be 2 1/2 stars. My daughters bacon was cold and her hashbrowns had so much grease under them she couldn't eat them. My husband said the biscuits were ok. Nothing to write home about. The only place in Beaverton that offers pretty good breakfast food. I've tried other places such as Tom's and Black Bear Diner. But Elmer's is the best choice in the Beaverton area. I ordered blueberry pancakes and eggs benedict. Both were delicious. Also our server was nice and attentive. The only downfall is that their plates are pricey and portions are not as big as it should be for the price they charge. read more

After a 10 minute wait to be seated( pretty normal wait time for any restaurant) we were seated in a back side room by the bathrooms where we waited over 20 minutes for someone to come take our order and bring us something to drink. Our food was brought by someone else other than our waitress, who never came to our table once to check on us, get us refills, etc... finally another 30 minutes later she comes and apologizes and gets our check. She takes our coffees off the check since we got no refills!! Highly disappointed in the food and service for the price. Worst birthday breakfast ever!! Won't be back. Never disappointed in Elmer's. I have had both their breakfast and lunch and have never been let down. The meat and scrambled eggs crepes where yummy, the burgers are great, the French dip with onions and cheese (though I think they call it something else) is one of my favorites. Went on a Monday night because my 8 year old wanted crepes for dinner. I've been to Elmer's on the weekends for brunch so I was shocked when we walked in and we were seated immediately. Only half of the restaurant was being used and even with only using half it wasn't full. The service was spectacular. The only waitress seemed to know a lot of the customers by name and even welcomed one with a hug. Has a very Mom and Pop kind of feel to it. Food was on point. Not sure of any other places you can get crepes and a German pancake at 6pm on a Monday night but luckily I don't have to search out any other spots because we will skip the weekend brunch wait and come back on a weeknight! This was my first time at Elmer's and I will be saying good bye to Shari's! The service was attentive and accurate. Our order was taken promptly and callbacks were done several times to see if we needed anything. Our water was refilled without asking. We took leftovers home and the dirty dishes were cleared right away. The food was good and all of it was served hot. You get quite a lot of food, so don't let the prices scare you off. And it's quite good especially compared with similar places like Denny's. Coffee is not the best but I guess that's what you get at most diners. I usually get the vegetable omelette and it's huge and comes with potatoes (or your choice of pancakes I think), so worth the cost. Plus they open at six AM so it's one of the only places I can go to early. read more

This is the closest Elmer's to my house, and I generally have breakfast here 3-4 times a month. It's a chain restaurant, but one of the best chains I've eaten at. In addition to good food, they have free wi-fi. I understand Nicholas E had a bad experience with kids, but I have to say that is not consistent with my experience. I've taken my son here since he was a toddler. They have a fairly lengthy "activity book" to keep the kids occupied while breakfast is coming. The person who seats you takes your drink order and brings you your drinks, so no waiting for water, o.j., hot chocolate, or coffee. The food is good and delivered relatively quickly. And, there's dum-dum lollipops at the cash register for a treat when you leave. There is often a wait on a weekend, but they have a fairly good sized waiting area. It is also often quite warm inside -- I think because they have a lot of elderly customers, they keep it warm. read more

I liked that they had a lot of selections on the menu. Maybe I just got the wrong item. I had one of the skillets. The veggies and hash browns were way too oily. It ruined the meal. The coffee was good and the biscuit was tasty. Husband got one of the omelets. He thought the portion was small for the price and it was average.
