I was so excited to try this restaurant but it was a major bust. The restaurant its self is cute. It's definitely photo op ready, but there's one big issue, once you're seated and actually in the space, it's actually dirty. But it doesn't look that way at first glance (if this makes sense...kind of just surface clean). The condiments and sauces, look old and bottle are gross feeling (sticky, dirty and really need cleaning). They have a topping bar that I started to check out but quickly changed my mind. Staff don't speak a lick of English, which hey, I am in a Mexican restaurant so that's that. A tricky language barrier turned into discomfort. Admittedly, my Spanish isn't the best but I am learning and I try. This piece is mentioned because of the impact on my experience. Upon entry, we weren't greeted and the restaurant was absolutely empty (at the time we were the only ones). I walked up to the counter and initiated conversation by saying 'hello'. Again I am not fluent in Spanish but I know enough to order and get around when I travel to Spanish speaking countries. However, when I ordered churros, it was a major struggle. The struggle was so real that I finally understood that I was being made fun of when the lady, chuckled at my pronunciation. That was actually uncomfortable and awkward. My daughters wanted this treat and I promised them to it. So we continued but boy do I wish I wouldn't have! My girls ordered churros and reported that they were good. They weren't fresh and had been in a case but they liked them. I ordered elote and had a craving for them. I'm not sure how the restaurant name is Elotes Fanny but the elote isn't the star of the show. The elote was actually not good at all. The corn itself tasted fresh but it literally was just corn in a cup with like a spoonful of cheese slapped on top--no mayo or crema, not butter, not lemon or lime juice, no seasoning...no flavor. Due to the service, dirty/sticky restaurant and taste of food, I definitely won't be back. Instead, I'll continue with my gas station elote and when I want a treat, I'll drive the distance to our favorite spot, Piña Loca. read more

When we saw the place it looked really nice and cool and clean inside. We were excited to try the snacks but when we began to order we asked questions about the items in the menu and the person helping us seemed annoyed. She kept yelling while we ordered" they don't want it any more and the person replied so they don't want it anymore" they said it in a very annoyed and irritated tone. there was no one behind us and we changed our minds twice on the items we ordered but they wouldn't let us finish they would yell the person in the back to start making the order instead of waiting for us to finish so they can make sure they have the correct items we asked for. When we finally received our food we asked for corn in a cup. The corn was extremely mushy like it's been boiled to death it was perfect for babies. There is no cheese in sight, just about a spoon full on top and we got a jumbo size. The churro we also ordered was so dry, Costcos churros are way better which I found hard to believe. We also order a biónico and was told what was inside it just to find out some of the things that were mentioned where not found in the biónico like raisins. Why didn't we stop here before?! Sooo happy with the options available- they have your fix if you want to be healthy or not. The prices seem very reasonable to me, too. They weren't busy when we went (1pm on a Saturday) and the place was very clean with the fruit bins nicely filled with delicious looking fruit slices. The staff was very friendly & allowed me to have whipped cream added to my fruit without an extra charge or even hesitating to consider if that was going to be allowed. I would have understood if it was an extra charge, but it made for a nice first impression. My daughter picked the plate of corn, topped with crushed takis. I don't love takis & have to agree- it was very tasty! I ordered the small fruit bowl, and found it to be a very generous portion for $5. You get to pick any 3 types of fruit for your order, as well. All in all, very satisfied & foresee us making many more trips here, especially over the summer (they also have ice cream & fruit popsicles!). read more

The fruit plates are much pricier than other fruiteras around. I may have spelled that wrong. Sorry. But the fruits do taste fresh. The elote plate with the crushed up hot cheetos are pretty good and priced decent for how much is served. I wasnt a huge fan of the bionico. But I believe that's more on my palate since it was my first time ever trying it. I am disappointed in their juices though. The celery did not taste like celery juice. The prickly pear was the same. They both tasted like water. (90% water and 10% of some kind of (your Choice) juice flavoring) hopefully if I ever visit the location I'd try out the other stuff on menu since the delivery option makes the menu smaller. read more

Never seen an agua de limon that's neon green and have the person behind the counter insist that's what comes out of lemons naturally. Then the agua de fresa taste like leftover fresas con crema, like scraping the bottom of the bowl for that cream that's melted and has strawberry juice mixed in. Then when they replaced my wife's drink, the worker had the audacity to make a snarky comment of "I hope you like the color of this one." I have been so excited to try Elotes Fanny. . . so we finally made it a point to go. There was no where to sit because there were no chairs at the table and the four that were out: two workers were sitting on them until they had to get up to go and help in the back with the orders. Then other costumers sat down. I told my family maybe there shipment of all the other chairs have not came in. A lot of tables but no chairs...hhhhmmm??. We waited a very long time for the order to the point were I went back to the car and left my family waiting. When they got in the car they said let's just stick to our home elote and fruit spot. I said no let's give them a chance they just opened and they need to realize what they need to do different and realize how much people enjoy this kind of food and things. So they all said fine. I even posted as a comment on the Facebook Page to please add more chairs because we'd like to eat there when we order. So today we went again to give this place a second chance, after church, and a long line was good to see and more chairs! (thanks for listening) BUT: I had to repeat my order four times, point and help the guy understand me. Twice in English and twice in Spanish. I told myself relax, he must be exhausted since they have been so busy from the looks of the place - meaning: the trashs were over flowing in both trash cans they have available in the whole entire place! The tables were dirty, the napkins were out there is not one napkin you could get if you needed it. All food products, when you went to look in the windows of the food, were empty or almost out. Which again is a good sign but dirty dirtyness in a food place is not very sanitary. I also looked around and there is not a public restroom either. so not an inviting place for a family to enjoy their order if someone may need the restroom!!!! Go to the store with my wife to order corn in the cup. We order 2 elotes and 1 churro ice cream. We asked the guy if he charged us 2 elotes and a churro ice cream. He confirmed. We get called to pick up the elotes and the girl only gives us one corn in the cup and says they don't have churros. I asked if I can substitute it for a banana split. Owner interrupts rudely and says that is 3$ more! I said you know what that is fine I will Pat the difference. I told her that I still need my elote. She said I will make it for you right away. I waited and waited and get called that my banana split was ready. I asked for my 2nd elote and she said I'm sorry I don't see an order for it. I told her that I ordered it and was told that it would be done. The owner and not one employee ever said that they were sorry about the whole thing and the owner looked at me like I'm trying to pull a fast one on her even after all that I went through and asked where is your receipt. I got so pissed that I wanted to go get the trash can and turn it over on her floor and get the receipt. My mother and I tried this place on March 12 at around 7 or 8pm for the very first time. They seem to have amazing stuff but the customer service could have honestly been better. We were next in line and I couldn't tell whether or not it was our turn to order because the current customer had only slightly moved the other way, we thought they were trying to look at what ice cream to get or something and the cashier was only standing there looking at us awkwardly not saying anything for a good minute or so. It had to take us to ask if they were still ordering and she replied "no". I felt like she could've said something like, "I can help whoever is next" or "are you ready to order sir/ma'am?" She didn't even seem very responsive. We asked if there were to-go menus to look at, for if we may want to come back next time and she only replies with "no", not telling us if there's any other way or menus to look at to see all the good stuff the place might have for us to buy. I would have wanted to know what ice creams they had so I would know what to get next time. They don't seem too welcoming nor nice to say "have good day/night" or anything at all. Now the elote was really tasty, but they did nothing but give us the run around about being able to cater our wedding. So I got the elote plate with crushed Taki. The corn was nothing special and VERY dry, the crushed chips were super stale. Their sauces are also nothing special. I put some Regular sauce in mine and it was also stale. At the time of writing this review we are in a global pandemic and they had a self serve station with all the extra condiments you can put in your elote, well they people grabbing the same spoon to put the condiments in your elote.
