This place is special. Everything from apps, drinks, main courses, desserts, and staff, it's 5 stars for sure. Started out with the tuna tartare and fried Brussels sprouts. Both delicious. The Brussels sprouts are served with an amazing black garlic aioli. I had the lamb chops and my girlfriend had the chicken piccata. The dessert special was carrot cake and that did not disappoint. Stumbled upon this cozy restaurant when we were in the area and were delighted with our choice. We took two seats at the bar and shared the Caesar and delicious sausage/spinach pasta. A five star experience on both our visits. First visit was brunch with my husband and I. The food was unmatched. I had the waffles, with Nutella/chocolate and bananas fosters (cooked to perfection), topped with amazing vanilla ice cream. My husband had the ahi tuna on top of avocado and cream cheese toasts. A Devine brunch! Try the blueberry lemonade mimosas - to die for! Proud staff, we got to meet the owner, chef and most of the staff (hello Nikki). Our server was top-notch. Obviously, it's a team who wants this establishment to succeed! Tonight we went there for dinner with our daughter. We arrived very early and the host was very gracious, letting us know that our table was running late (in addition to us being early) and made up for our inconvenience. Our server was on-point, attending to our table when appropriate. The crispy brussel sprouts and the burrata salad we had for starters were soooo delicious!!!! Our daughter highly recommends the Greek Lemon Chicken Soup, which my husband also tried and said it was great. The Caesar salad was grilled to perfection! My steak was cooked as ordered and served with a very nice crispy corn salad. Our only distraction occurred with my husband's dinner. The waitress and chef reacted quickly. There was a bit of miscommunication between the front of the house and the kitchen and it got corrected swiftly, with apologies from our outstanding waitress, the host, the owner and the chef!!! Amazing!!! Okay, so let's talk dessert...Our daughter wanted particulars that was not on the menu and without hesitation, our waitress said that they would oblige. And then we ordered the chocolate tort. Beyond heaven!!!! All-in our experiences have been nothing short of amazing. This is the place for you! Upon walking in, you are immediately greeted with a smile! Once we were brought to our table complimentary bread and water was quickly given to us! Our lovely server Nikki was go easy to talk to and built a fantastic rapport with our table. We ordered some alcoholic drinks and they were amazing! We then decided to order the clam chowder, butter and sage raviolis, and the smoked pork flatbread! I don't know how else to put this... but I wish I could have chef Fabi's food everyday! Fabi came out and introduced herself to our table and spoke with us for a few minutes before heading back into the kitchen. She was very eager to get to know her audience and create relationships with every table inside this restaurant. I honestly don't know what's better than that. Fabi is very caring when it comes to any concerns with food and what a person's preferences might entail. as soon as I told our server, Nikki that I have an allergy to nuts, she immediately went to the kitchen to discuss with Fabi to make sure all of my food was nut free. You could tell the staff was very concerned with the safety of their guests and made everybody feel as if they were priority number one. Anyways, back to the food... Fabis food was so amazing I almost melted in my seat with every bite. Eating her food feels like the epitome of cooking with love. Just from reading about her cooking experience you can tell she cooks with passion. After eating all of that food, Fabi came out to check back in! She truly cared about our opinions and would fix anything that wasn't to our liking. But everything was! I wouldn't change a damn thing! We finished off our evening with a s'mores martini... TO DIE FOR and a chocolate torta that was accompanied by cherry ice cream and caramel truffles! I must add to this message by saying that I also met both of the owners Renee and Donny as well as the general manager Eric. I personally saw them running around and helping out their staff! They were consistently talking with customers and getting to know every single table. Our table was checked on at least 5 times in one night! We were able to have fantastic conversations with this staff and I can't wait to come again! I had an amazing experience here the food aaa so unique and delicious. Not to mention the drinks were just as good! They were very accommodating to my needs due to my food allergies which the server had asked us prior. The managers and owners came up to our table and were so friendly and nice making sure everything was to our liking. My husband and I decided to try a new-to-us restaurant locally last night (a Friday), and chose Elsie's Table. It's a tiny place but when we arrived for our 5:15 reservation (it was either that or after 8 and we were hungry!), the bar was busy with a lively crowd. By the time we left after our meal the whole place was full! Ambience is fresh, clean and modern. Cocktails were delicious and perfectly made. Salmon arrived at the table hot and was absolutely delicious, a generous portion sitting in a modest amount of sweet potato purée (live a restaurant that doesn't use heaps of carbs as an excuse to serve tiny portions of protein) and a generous helping of broccolini. All was ex. Husband had Harvest Ravioli- butternut squash ravioli with scallops in a peas-and-pancetta cream sauce. Delicious, though could have gone lighter on the sauce. Only downside was all 4 pieces of bread served to us were more than a little stale. We will be back! read more

We went here for a birthday dinner recently. There is some parking behind the restaurant, on the street and they also rent spaces at the funeral home next door and it was not an issue on a Friday night. The restaurant is updated and cozy with a smaller dining space. I think a party of five or 6 might be the biggest you'd want to do here. We enjoyed arancini balls, tuna tartare and Elsie's Family Salad for appetizers. I didn't have the arancini because of the bison but heard it was good. The tuna tartare was good but had a lot of extras on it. The salad was fresh and yummy. There was a good wine selection. For dinner we had the salmon, lamb chops, pork chops, eggplant parm, and scallops. It seemed like the stars were the lamb chops and pork chops. The portion for the porch chop was huge and it was very tender. The eggplant parm was also very good. I didn't try the salmon but heard it was good. The scallops and risotto were ok- they lacked a bit of flavor and the risotto was a little undercooked. For dessert we had crème brûlée which was yummy! The staff were very friendly and went out of their way to serve with care. We enjoyed our meal here and I would come again to try more. I love having non-chain restaurants and neighborhood gems to dine at in the suburbs! read more

As we were debating, if we wanted to stay, the host told us our table was ready. When I said I didn't want the table, he barked it was the only table they had for us tonight. TOP SECRET Newest restaurant in town has limited seating, 10-12 tables but it's menu and food is way above average. If word gets out, you'll never get a reservation. Me - French Onion soup was best I've ever had. very light sweet broth and little salt. Bone in pork chop was presented in several slices over an apple/onion stuffing that perfectly complemented the meat. Her - Chicken Lemon soup, 'you must serve this to me any time I'm sick' she says. First time here. It is a very small place and was jam packed when we arrived about 15 min early for 7:30 reservation. We stood at the bar and had a drink. Were seated about 7:45. They were very busy but bar service was great and it was a pleasant experience. Our server greeted us promptly and since we already had drinks, said she would give a few minutes and bread would be right out. Oddly, we had to ask about the specials on the menu, we ordered an appetizer to share of bread and some sort of cheesy spread that was very good. We also orders salads and French onion soups, which came out very fast and we had barely started on the appetizer, but not a problem. Our entered were a pork tenderloin, chicken Marsala, Parmesan Cod and Scallops. All were very good and nice sized. The only sort of miss was the chicken Marsala. Our friend enjoyed it, but did say that had it not been called Marsala, she might not have known that it was actually that.. dessert was some sorbet and gelato to share, very nice. A very nice evening at a new place that we will come back to. Definitely recommend having a reservation as it was super busy. Manager/owner? The food was good but not great. And the ambiance was LOUD LOUD LOUD!!! The room could use a generous helping of sound absorption. I love Elsie's! Their food is incredible and unlike any other place in canton! I came here this morning for breakfast and ordered the steak and eggs Benedict. The spicy hollandaise sauce was the best! Others at my table orders the croque monsieur and the tartiflette. These meals looks delicious and were devoured. Recently opened several months ago, in the old "big D" location across from 7-Eleven. Small restaurant, squeaky, clean, great quality, the owner is always walking around and she is a sweetheart and very personable. They've been rotating bartenders for a while so probably just trying to find a good fit. it gets busy quickly, maybe seats 20 to 30 people? Six friends went to dinner at Elsie's Table last night and wow it was delicious. We had cocktails including a Mediterranean mule and expresso martinis which hit the spot. We started our meal with charred Caesar salad with a light dressing and homemade croutons and shaved parmesan . I have to try this at home. It was a meal in itself and the char brought it to another level. My friend and I split the steak and it was more than enough! It came out on a cutting board with roasted potatoes, vegetable medley and roasted sprouts. Amazing and the steak was cooked to perfection. Others had eggplant parmigiana and the cod - both healthy portions and very good. The restaurant was bustling but the waitress and staff were wonderful. We ended our night with a chocolate torte and creme brûlée both fantastic. The space is new and beautiful inside - the bar is reclaimed church pews and every details was well thought out. It was so busy I was like the bathroom is going to be a mess - nope clean. This restaurant is a really nice addition to Canton and very reasonably priced. We will be back! My husband and I booked dinner on a Tuesday night to celebrate our 30th anniversary. We mentioned it was our anniversary when we booked online. Elsie's Table is a small restaurant tastefully decorated with white woodwork and navy accents. It was surprisingly busy for a Tuesday night so we were offered a high top table in the bar but we refused because we wanted something more intimate. The hostess was accommodating and offered us wine samples while we waited for a table. We didn't have to wait long and were seated shortly after that. We ordered a $99 bottle of Cote du Rhone given that it was a special occasion. Our waitress brought out the bottle and proceeded to open it table side but the cork broke almost at the rim of the bottle yet she proceeded to continue to try to remove it. We refused the bottle as there was no way we were going to drink a corked $99 bottle of wine! Eventually we received a new bottle and it was very good. We ordered the grilled Caesar salad to start and the mussels. We were surprised when both dishes came out at the same time so we opted to eat the mussels first while they were still warm. The mussels were plump and fresh tasting with a beige coloring, with not an angry orange mussel to be found. However we didn't get many for almost $20! The Caesar salad was a disappointment. We asked to split the large portion and the waitress brought us two large heads of romaine on one plate. We had to ask for an extra plate. The salad was so-so, with tiny croutons and a thick white dressing with no anchovy flavor. I tasted sweet and missed the salty back flavor that a Caesar salad ought to have. My husband and I also dislike the idea of having to cut a whole head of romaine in order to eat it. We just don't get that kind of presentation. After those two starters, there was a very long wait to receive our entrees. My husband ordered the sirloin fillet and I ordered the family recipe special, seared sea scallops with risotto, which our waitress recommended. When the food finally did arrive, she put down a lamb chops dish in front of me, so I said this must be someone else's order and handed it back. Our waitress then came back apologizing that she hit the wrong button placing the order as the lamp chops were right above the scallops. I graciously agreed to eat the lamb as I do love lamb, even though it is the most expensive item on the menu. However, my husband's steak was overcooked, more like medium to well which no juices on the plate, despite his having ordered the steak rare to medium rare. At this point we felt the night was ruined. We've all been there, you get your entree and your dining partner has nothing so I shared my lamb chops with my husband, and he opted to take the replacement steak to go as we just wanted to go at that point and skip dessert. So we ended up running across the street to 7-eleven for some Ben & Jerry's to wrap up an overall disappointing night out trying to celebrate our anniversary. Btw, the owner comped the two entrees which was fair. Update on the review: I did not comment much about the main entrees given our experience but they deserve a review. My lamb chops were delicious, tender and perfectly cooked. I would have liked a few more grill marks on the chops however. We enjoyed the sirloin steak that we took home. Given that we ate it a day later, we have to say it was a very good, thick filet, cooked rare, seasoned just right and amazingly priced at $40. The roasted rosemary potatoes were tender and tasty and the side vegetables of broccolini, carrots and squash were done just right. Were it not for the unfortunate mistakes by our waitress and the kitchen, we would have left Elsie's Table feeling very satisfied with our meals and confident about going back. We like to support our local restaurants as historically there's been a dearth of fine dining restaurants in Canton for years and now we have a few good choices. read more
