I love me some Grocery Outlet. :) Due to the spaciousness of this location, I would easily round up to 5 starts. Open, clean, stocked items on shelves, good customer service from staff, I mean come on! What a great addition to the City of Fillmore, too. Congrats to them. On this trip, I found an incredible score of Aulani Nu energy drinks (Mimosa) for 99 cents a can. This is a GREAT DEAL! Go get you some! The fruit looked good and fresh, too. Such great deals and I cannot wait to go back and see deals they have next. This was my first visit but will not be my last. Definitely recommend Grocery Outlet in Fillmore. Let's keep it going!

In fact, even before prices skyrocketed at all grocery stores, many of the offerings at GO were quite expensive, not "outlet" prices. I've learned that when something is really expensive, they don't show the price on the shelf. So I don't bother with those items. In addition to bare or sparse shelves, I have found expired products on shelves and in freezers. I can imagine the tariffs are playing a big part in this, but not all. I stop in about every 4-6 months now, to see if they remain downhill. If I do decide to buy a bag of nuts or seltzers, the line is often quite long, and they don't get an employee to the register until a sizeable line has formed. Same for opening a second register. The line has to get very long before they take that major step. GO has a high tolerance for customers waiting to give their money to GO. In that case, I leave my item behind and leave. The employees are nice, they don't appear to be responsible for the bad retailing at this GO.

I love their hot food station & they have some of the best fried chicken in the game if you catch them when they have a fresh batch out. I really only stop here primarily for some chicken. I love their crispy batter and it has really a good flavor and seasoning. The only hit or miss depends on how fresh it is. When I catch them on a good day it's a 10/10. Sometimes though I go too late and the chicken is a little dry. It's a gamble I'm willing to take though because it is that good. Also you can't beat the prices, crazy cheap. I walked out with three pieces of fried chicken for $3.50 I really don't know how you can beat that when one piece of fried chicken at a chain fast food joint is that price. The grocery store itself is small but has a good variety of items. A nice meat counter and on the other side are desserts and pastries. I stay away from that side so I won't be even more tempted but they have some great ready to eat items here. Staff are always nice and friendly. I'm usually able to get in and out of here fairly quickly. It's a quiet town and usually isn't too busy inside when I stop in on a weekday. Happy to have a spot that I can run in and out for a quick bite.

Unfortunately on my most recent visit I noticed a "B" rating on the door. That's very disheartening for a grocery store, especially one in an area where the residents don't have another option.

I've given this location so many chances over the years, but at this point the customer service has become something I genuinely dread dealing with. The level of carelessness lack of communication and lack of respect we experience here is incredibly frustrating. It often feels like no one actually wants to take responsibility for helping you. Instead you get passed from one person to another with each person directing you to someone else rather than actually taking the time to listen and help. What bothers me the most is the overall attitude. We've had so many interactions where it feels like customers are more of an inconvenience than people who are simply trying to get their shopping done. There is very little warmth or willingness to go above and beyond and even basic customer service interactions can feel rushed and dismissive. I understand that grocery stores get busy. I understand that employees have a lot going on. I understand that not every interaction is going to be perfect and we definitely don't expect this. But when the same issues happen over and over again for years it becomes much harder to excuse as just a bad day. I've continued coming here because it's my local Ralphs and I've been shopping here for nearly 15 years but lately I find myself wanting to go somewhere else whenever possible almost anywhere else.. It's disappointing to feel this way about a store that has been part of my routine for so long. At this point this Ralphs has become more of a last resort grocery store for me. I really hope management takes the customer-service experience seriously because there is a huge difference between being busy and making customers feel like they simply don't matter. I'm leaving this review because I hope something changes. After almost 15 years of shopping here I would love to be able to walk into my local Ralphs and feel like my business and my time are actually valued.
