Love this place. Their beer is always so, so good. You should go for a flight if you've never been. The Space Dust IPA and Loser Pale Ale are some of the best I've had though. Our work team had lunch here last week. The service for our group of 20-ish was great. The drinks were good, as was the hummus appetizer. I had the falafel sandwich which was okay. Long story short, AB Inbev (Budweiser) owns Elysian now, and it's hard justifying supporting a $200 billion international company that uses sketchy tactics to push better beers off of grocery store shelves. Elysian is still producing some good beers, and there are still some great employees there - so on occasion I'll still go there. But why support AB when there are so many better brewpubs and microbreweries in Seattle? read more

This place has one of the best happy hours in the city, $4 or $4.50 for beers with a bunch of mini-meals for $5 on the happy hour menu. Happy hour is 4-6 most days I'm 80% sure. Elysian makes some good beers but it's not my favorite and on beer alone I would give a 4* but the Brewpub is set up so well this place gets a 5*. read more

Arghhh what to review this great brewery after it was purchased by Bud's parent company who then had the nerve to poke fun at craft beer fans during the Super Bowl. So they now own one of Seattle's great local breweries and hate those who like the product. Brilliant. Anyway, that shouldn't impact on visiting the bar should it? Well it does a little. And that's not the bar's fault. The staff are the 'hipsters' that Bud now poke fun at. But, thankfully, they and their bar retain an interesting individuality that separates them from their nasty owners. The beer, is still great. But doesn't it just suck that you're ultimately drinking a Bud product? Not that that's the staff's fault. They're a really nice bunch. Great bar. Great staff. Great CRAFT beer. They seemed to want to rush people to leave, which I understand, I would likely be the same. However at the end of the night, when I was waiting for friends, a female staff member was ridiculously snappy and rude to me as she was closing up. Oh Elysian how I love your beer! And your nachos are also very delicious! We showed up early on a Saturday night and got seated quickly. Had great service. The place started to fill up but I don't think there was much of a wait! I liked how they have way more beers then just their regular ones you see everywhere! Been quite a while since we've been here, but all-around fantastic! As a brewery/restaurant, it is extremely kid- and vegetarian- (and vegan) friendly! Oh, and delicious and well-beer-ed! I had the fish tacos and the serving was quite large. They came with a peanut/tomato/sriracha condiment and were quite tasty. Danielle had a vegetarian (perhaps vegan) BBQ sandwich made with Fieldroast...also quite tasty. Service was prompt, as was the food, surprisingly. The tap list is all their own, with some select bottles from elsewhere (not the best cellar, but some quality selections (Temens, Orval, Ommegang, etc). They were out of three of their standards, and weren't doing flights as a result, but they did have those offerings in bottles and a fairly robust list of their own "guest" taps, all dark, heavy, and delicious. Servers would walk right by us and make eye contact with us knowing that we had no drinks on the table, but simply, they didn't care. All of the servers at one point were by the computer just talking and laughing which was frustrating to see. Also, a table that sat five minutes after us had their drink order taken right away. We were getting ready to get up and leave when a guy FINALLY came to take our order. My steak frites unfortunately came slathered in a not appealing blue cheese sauce which really took away from both the steak and the fries. I loved this place. Relaxed environment and a great place to grab some beers on a chilly afternoon. The service was quick and friendly and allowed me to sample beers before ordering without any problems at all. I LOVED the fact that they had FOUR pumpkin beers on draft. Hello...that's amazing. My boyfriend and I tried all four of them and they were honestly all great. That's hard to do. Kudos to you Elysian! We didn't eat any meals but did share the Poutine which was a nice way to warm up and was the perfect munchy to chase down with a beer. I wanted to like Elysian Brewing but nothing was great, or even good, about my visit. First, the service was rude which would have been okay if the food and beer was tasty -but it wasn't. Some of the menu items didn't come anywhere close to matching the description on the menu. For example, we ordered the chowder and got some kind of vegetable soup full of carrots and bacon. We asked the server and they said their soups keep changing. The bread being served with was too tough to eat. There was too much butter on the kids buttered noodles. Like a half-cup too much. The fries being served were the thinnest, crispiest not in a good way, desiccated things I've seen in a while. The worst part was I just wanted to have a fun time out and it was ruined by the poor service and worse food. The beer was fine, unfortunately unoriginal and uninspiring. read more
