On our most recent visit, my 4-year-old daughter was happily exploring the store and being completely quiet, but she was skipping through the aisles and her jelly shoes were making a little noise. It was 1pm on a Friday afternoon and there was only one other customer in the entire store. An employee named Alicia came over and told us we needed to leave because of her skipping. It wasn't communicated politely or kindly, it was extremely rude and unwelcoming. As we were walking out, Alicia even said, "I don't play that." The irony is that a significant portion of the store is dedicated to children's books, stuffed animals, and a kids' reading area, yet the overall atmosphere has consistently felt very unwelcoming toward children. The selection is also fairly limited and, in my opinion, overpriced. I've given this store several chances because I wanted to support a local bookstore, but after this experience, we won't be returning. Children can be excited, curious, and skip, especially in a children-focused bookstore. There are kind ways to redirect a child, but making a family feel unwelcome and speaking to us that way was completely unnecessary. Really disappointing customer service and an experience we won't forget.

Outside | I love the outside patio! Glam Bohemian vibes all the way, and I loved every minute of it! There are so many plants and I loved the rattan chair! Inside | An eclectic mix of items, jewelry, accessories, even a Buddha, including vintage clothing! I loved all the colorful crystals of all sizes, heights & shapes! The energy was amazing in the store and the way the sun was shining into the crystals was so pretty! I was immediately drawn to the heart-shaped purple & white amethyst, which will be a great addition to the rest of my crystal collection! It feels like a place where many movies might have been filmed here haha. Very old building appeal. The bookstore is one of a kind and a gem for Filipinos or people interested in learning about Filipino culture, history, with different sections of art, poetry, history, photographs of places which I wish I took more time in here. The gentleman Sedrick was so helpful in having to find books I wanted to search specifically autobiographical stories of Filipino Authors. It was a bit limited in that section but there are also hand weaved baskets and can be for sale I heard. The book I happily purchased was not close but the obviously had to pick an art book which was not surprising. Parking out bacj was only 25 cents for 30 mins which gave me a little time to find this bookstore so enchanting and hope it is kept in here or perhaps find a new home to a much wider audience but these days, so much harder to find quality books and Philippine Expression bookstore truly is not a place you find anywhere. Unless someone proves me wrong. Books are not cheap and it's ok. I LOVE the feeling of images and Illustrations of books. Especially good hard bound books. It's a roaming gem that pops up around SoCal with a curated selection of love stories and bookish gifts - think books, stickers, hats, totes, bookmarks, etc!!! I first found Fleuria at The Coffee Bar in El Segundo during their birthday celebration (yes, the same day I visited the book truck and discovered a new favorite coffee shop!). Just seeing the truck/van made my morning between the pastel decorations, the smell of new books, and the promise of great new reads. Browsing through their books, I was impressed with the variety as there are more books than just romance. And, the prices? On par with independent bookstores. After my first visit, I also went with a friend to their book swap event at the Runway in Playa Vista which the owner of Fleuria had shared with me during my visit at The Coffee Bar. This experience was just as delightful! I got to meet fellow bookworms, chat about favorite books, trade books, and discover some titles I hadn't heard of before. The owner is seriously so sweet and genuine, full of warmth and love for the selection of books she curates. The Fleuria isn't just a truck selling books. I can tell the owner works to create a community in the process: A place where book lovers can gather, where books feel personal. Whether you're buying a book, swapping one, or just browsing for inspiration, The Fleuria feels cozy and special. Beautiful spiritual shop with beautiful energy…read more Stumbled upon this beauty while exploring Hermosa on Saturday and wow! You can feel the welcoming energy as soon as you step in. A wonderful selection of tarot cards, crystals, jewelry, decor, gifts, and so much more. So many beautiful pieces to add to your altar. I could have explored and browsed in here all day. A friend of mine found Magickal Herb Oracle cards, which is literally so perfect for her. Love! Also, don't forget to pick your affirmation card for the day!
