You are essentially eating at a beautiful lodge overlooking a gorgeous lake that can be glimpses through the trees. One of our favorite spots. The atmosphere and staff are always amazing, as well as the food. There are heaters and blankets but take a jacket too. The GF pizza is delicious. They can also make the wings GF (but their BBQ is not, so I just take my own sauce. Seems like an easy thing to carry, GF BBQ). My understanding is they have one oven they cook very minimal gluten in that all the GF items go into. I'm NCGS and have a few friends even more sensitive than I am and so far we've had no issues. read more

They are very friendly and have lots of outdoor seating and the pizza is fabulous. The pizza is cooked right over an open fireand the waitresses are always engaging beautiful and willing to help all the customers. We have been wanting to ride up to here on our motorcycles. Group of 8. It was the first truly beautiful day out to ride. We set out on the patio. The waitress came immediately to greet us & take our drink orders. Waters were set up in these cool fish jugs. Some ordered the chicken drumsticks which were very large, huge garlic knot bread & then a variety of pizza even the gluten-free was delicious. We are surely coming back. Fun atmosphere here even in the rain! We sat outside even though it was a little cold we didn't feel it due to the available blankets and outdoor heaters. Service was prompt and friendly. Lots of parking and a great family vibe here. Lots of yard game options but it was raining so we did not play. We arrived at 4:13pm, it opened at 4pm and was already packed! Get here early or have time to wait for a table if not. Pizza flavors were weird and awesome! I can't remember the specific names for each pizza we ordered but the one with pastrami was amazing. I would never ever order a pizza with pastrami and sauerkraut and I couldn't get enough of it! The next pizza was honey themed with prosciutto which was also amazing! Far West pizza was a little hot but tasted great! Greek salad had a lot of toppings, small size was best for one person. Wine was a little over priced but I get they make their money on alcohol. Wife planned suprise party here for my birthday. It was completely ruined I.m.o by this place. I will never be back. First off they dont do reservations, Second, my friend who is disabled and was trying to take a breath after managing to make it up the stairway was (in his words) felt rudely approached "as that table was for other people".. He was just taking a break to catch his breath due to missing a leg. Third- wait time to be seated was close to 35 minutes at which there are no signs or proper greeting established at all so your looking for someone just to be having you name on a list. Fourth- we showed up around 6 pm. Food didnt show up til 815pm. If we would have known that we would have just went elsewhere or at least done cake, and presents etc. Fifth- pizza was absolutely burnt (black and crunchy) Sixth- flies everywhere inside the establishment (biting my neck and having to try and swat at them wtf?!?!) Same for another one of my friends who said "the flies are bad here". Seventh- bathroom is designed for 1 person at a time... You gotta wait in line as my son and I had to for 10 minutes (thank god he could hold it!!) As well as the 4 or so people behind us. Men and women. There was an employee who made the comment "we do habe outhouses around back outside" to another gentleman.... I was told sorry 5 times within 10 minutes of leaving... Almost like the employees were used to saying it. Everyone met here at 6pm its now 815 and food just showed up. Pizzas were burnt... I definitly wouldnt pay 19$ for burnt bull...sh.... We were inside the building and flies were everywhere including biting my neck as well as my friends. Son had to use restroom had to wait in line for 10 minutes to use the restroom. Anyways my friends ended up leaving due to the long wait... Never made it to presents or cake /beer etc. I'll never be back!! Wouldnt even recommend this place to an enemy. I don't think it's something to lower a score for but just plan to possibly wait a very long time depending on the day. We had an assortment of pizzas ranging, the Carmelita (caramelized onions), a clam pizza (I didn't care too much for) and a chicken bacon pizza, as well as some chicken wings and garlic knots. I only ate the garlic Knots and Carmelita pizza as Im not a fan of the flavors in the other dishes but what I did have was delicious. Gorgeous location. One of a kind place. I don't think this spot exists anywhere else in the world. Long wait but was great because there's so many spots to sit and play with the kids. Also cornhole and ping pong are out. We got some wine and beer while waiting. When we were seated we did the shishito peppers which I think need a bit more seasoning and flavor. My BLT salad was awesome and a half was good sized and reasonably priced! We got the Allison Wonderland which was amazing!!!! Highly recommend. The Honey, I'm Home was also very good and we had that on gluten free crust and it tasted just like regular crust! Very nice pizza place in Idaho, just north east of Spokane Valley, WA. Nice atmosphere and a nice selection of wood fired pizza. They have a good beer selection. Our waiter was friendly and helpful, and the pizzas were large. Our group ordered several and all were delicious. We ended up taking some home. The parking situation is pretty much a mess. Some time ago we had some family tell us about Embers. Being a guy that loves a good pizza we had to give this place a try. Driving up to the restaurant it feels like you are pulling up to a nice chow hall at camp. This is because it is located next to Hauser Lake and settled in the trees. We came at the perfect time as we were sitting down right at sunset. Once inside we were warmly greeted and quickly seated. We ordered a Papa's Special which took about 10 minutes from order to table. The rectangular pizza looked very good upon arrival and it tasted as good as it looked. The crust was perfectly cooked and the sauce was a perfect blend of tomato and herbs. It was slightly sweet and smooth not overly tangy. The edge of the crust was also basted with butter that had a very slight garlic taste. It was not overpowering and added a perfect extra touch to the pizza. Overall this was one of my favorite pizzas in the Spokane region and will be back to give more varieties a try. One we noticed in particular was the Rueben. Interesting idea. read more

Pizza was okay, but the service was horrible. I have a dairy allergy and when my husband reiterated that I'm not vegan (ordered vegan cheese), but have an anaphylactic allergy. The young college student said very rudely "yeah, she said allergy." Please understand that I have had an allergic reaction at several restaurants that assured me I'd be fine. So we always like to make sure the staff is aware. I like to eat out and have written many reviews, most of them have been positive. I know allergies suck for restaurant staff. Only the BEST pizza ever! I have been with the previous owners and now the new ones. It was the same great pizza, friendly servers and the owner even came to check on us to make sure we were enjoying our meal! The server checked to make sure I enjoyed the taste of my wine which was great! We ordered two pizzas & garlic knots! Incredible! The bathrooms were so clean and have a changing table for babies (score!)! They also have yummy smelling bath and body works soap! They have a handicap access at the top of the stairs which was great for us. This is the place I bring everyone who comes to visit! Great food, great owners, yummy wine and very kid friendly! Oh!
