Updated 8.29.26: My roommate chose this place to have his birthday dinner. We made reservations for 3 people at 6p and when we arrived we were greeted and sat immediately. Mike was our server and took out drink order promptly and returned with yummy garlic bread. We ordered 2 appetizers: the cheesy artichoke dip and the oven baked bollas. The dip was thick and creamy and the bread it came with was toasted and had grated Parmesan on it. My roommate loves the bollas and this time was no different. For my entree, I got the Seafood Manicotti, my roommate got his favorite Twice Baked Spaghetti, and his mom created her own pasta: angel hair pasta with marinara and grilled chicken. The Seafood Manicotti was delicious and flavorful. The creamy Alfredo sauce had perfect texture and the herb filling combined with the seafood gave it layers of goodness. My roommate and his mom, both enjoyed their entrees and had enough to take home for a second meal. Tomato Street doesn't sing happy birthday, however they gave my roommate a complimentary Chocolate Lush dessert, which was nice. I got the Creme Brulee and his mom went with the Tiramisu. Mike accidentally brought me Grandma's Bread Pudding but corrected his mistake. So I ended up with 2 desserts and both were excellent. Still one of my favorite places to go when I'm at Hayden Lake every summer. Lots of gluten free options. Service is always friendly and helpful. Still has its quirky vibes. Both this location, and the one in Spokane, are at the top of our family's list for a place to go to celebrate a birthday or special event. Everything they make, from appys to entrees are delicious! When our kids were younger, we would call it "The Nap Place," because none of the kids made it back home to the West Plains without nodding off on the way home. Everybody has their fave meal here, and we generally do not finish them, making for a nice snack later in the day. The folks they hire here are great, too, because with it being a very popular family dining place, you need a lot of patience for little ones. My husband and I have been eating at tomato Street for 25 years. Today's experience was so disappointing. We will never return. The calzones are a quarter of the size they used to be at three times the price. We understand that everything is more expensive now, but to increase pricing and decrease the portions so you're not even full when you leave then being charged extra for the sauce that used to come with it is all very disappointing. The bread used to be so soft and fresh and really yummy and warm this time it was dry and bland. Sad to see one of our favorite all-time places has declined so much. read more

This was my first time at this restaurant and I was very impressed with the food, ambience, and service. We had a small dinner for our grandson Aiden and our son Matthew and the service was excellent. The food was out very quickly. We started the night with a glass of Moscato and J Lohr. Both of these wines were delicious. The Moscato is one of my favorite sweet wines. The J Lohr had an excellent vanilla accent that kept me yearning for more. We ordered the Bolas, and this was my first time trying these breaded meatballs, and they didn't disappoint. The spaghetti is our grandsons favorite, and the egg plant Parmigian was delicious. Update, So in an effort to save on eating out we bought a Costco freezer ( excellent btw) & stock it with frozen meals.... However some days you just need a day off from cooking .... Again our go to TASTY, Reliable, entree is the appetizer ( meatballs wrapped in dough) & GRANDMA'S Lasagna with meat sauce. We asked for extra marinara sauce because it's so good. Suggestion.... Start selling BOTTLED MARINARA SAUCE! It's another revenue stream and it's one of the best marinara sauces I've had. I think they should pair down the menu and concentrate on the items that are excellent. Offer bottled marinara sauce and canned meat sauce... Made a large phone order for pickup for a family dinner at our VRBO. Staff was super friendly and went through the two boxes of food to make sure the order was accurate as it was. Food was great. The pizza, service and ambience is great! However, I remember a few years ago they had tables in the center with umbrellas on them and it made it look real festive. They don't have that anymore and it really changed the looks a lot. Maybe people were bumping into them or something. They still have really good food though. read more

Food- Great food, 2nd time to Tomato Street this time for pizza. We have not found a good pizza yet in town until this visit. The best in town, I took one bite and loved it and knew we had a winner. Tomato Street is hit or Miss. This restaurant definitely needs an update. The floors are disgusting and the booths are in bad shape, which may explain why we were the only customers in the restaurant for a full half hour. I ordered the Tuscan Calzone. Unfortunately, the bottom was burnt and the filling had way more sun dried tomatoes that any of the other items, it was too overwhelming to be good. What the hell happened to this place? I got the minestrone soup today it tasted bad... the noodles weren't cooked the soup taste like bacon and pork n bean soup, thick and way too salty! I was offered a salad I said I'd take it to go.. I get it home and it was a brown of just lettuce, not a tomato, slice of cucumber, carrot or onion... just lettuce and some of that was brown! weve been eating here forever. during covid the quality went down, however it has returned to its previous highs. we ate here last week, and again it was amazing. the fresh baked bread was tasty, the meal was amazing. the price was reasonable. had the dinner menu at lunch time so we could take half home for next day. the hostess passed up an extra wrapped portion of bread for next day. that was a treat . will be coming back again and again read more

We were tourists in Coeur d'Alene Idaho and asked for a recommendation from the local shop owner for a good Italian restaurant. This place fit the bill with reasonable prices, excellent food choice, friendly service and unlimited garlic bread free of charge. The smoked chicken manicotti with about five to six different kinds of cheeses was outstanding and my spaghetti and meatballs was excellent. Our waitress was named Stephanie and she was spectacular. Solid place! Food was good. Management was great. An only rub was an honest mistake from one of the runners accidentally dropped a plate of spaghetti on one of our groups backpack, and short of a few awkward apologies from him, not much was done. Granted, we had a large group of over 30. One of the other things that kept me from giving a 5 star was that our food did not come out all together or even slightly staggered. In fact some of the group finished their food before others even made it to the table. So I am sure you are wondering why than 4 stars with the above issues. Well, the food was good, and the overall service was great. They also put up with 11 crazy 12 yr Olds. And they were also very sweet with my 4-year-old son. I than some how left my card here. They were amazing, got it put it thier safe so when I finally realized it was missing was able to recover it the following day. They put paper down on the table and have crayons for kids to draw or even adults as I drew a little something. The staff are friendly and helpful! Our waitress was new and she did a great job. She checked on us multiple times and made sure that we were doing good. The food was awesome and had so much flavor. I ordered the blackened chicken sandwich and the bread was warm and soft with so much flavor. The chicken was cooked perfectly and it was juicy. I absolutely loved it. The side salad ranch dressing could have been better, but was still a good choice as the chicken sandwich was a heavier option. The portions were huge and you won't leave hungry.
