Lack of, Customer Service. SO much rushing, due to one employee only, every single time I have been there, including all different hours of the day. More than one person working (very stressful for the employee too) AND this causes many more mistakes as well! The store could also be a lot nicer looking and welcoming (for not a lot of money and/or effort). They made a drink for my daughter and it tasted horrible. We asked within the 15 minutes and the drink was over 75% full for them to remake it. They said they could re-blend it. Which I believe is against health codes to put food that touch somebody's mouth back into a blender. We've had multiple issues here and keep giving him grace, but this will be the last time. read more

Smoothies are good, but if you're in a hurry or somewhat short of time, this is not the place to go as they typically have one employee and for some strange reason you cannot call in an order and pay for it. Seems like the owners would want to capture as much business as they can not sure why you can't pay for an order online or over the phone. Definitely lost the sale. read more

Service is absolutely SLOW! It's not a specific person, but the fact they actually don't staff this place for the volume that they get. It just doesn't make sense. Many times during peak daytime hours you can walk in here and find only ONE person working and a huge line. Again, not a bad service person, just poor management. Went in to this location today to get my usual smoothie. I ordered and said I'd like almond milk instead of nonfat. The worker instructed me that the smoothie wasn't made with any milk which I thought was really weird since all the other locations I go to and on the website it states it's made with almond milk. I later seen on their menu boards they had all the milks crossed out. I don't know if they are trying to cut corners or what but it's definitely not standard. I received my smoothie and took it back to work, I tried it on the way and realized it didn't taste how it normally does when I go to other locations. It tasted watery. I reluctantly went back and hoped I made it within the 15 minute period they have. I got up to the counter and asked to get my drink remade and explained how the emerald city smoothie website has the ingredients and that there was supposed to me milk. She told me "at this location we don't put milk in it" she offered to add almond milk in and reblend it, which I also thing is a health code issue. From working at places like Starbucks that could never do anything like that. I got my drink back and it just tasted like almond milk and not even a smoothie texture since she didn't remake it just added more liquid to an already watery drink. Definitely won't be back to this location. It sucks don't go here! read more

Unfortunately I experienced some of the worst customer service I have ever seen in my life from this establishment. Worse yet that treatment came directly from the store owner. I ordered a drink today that was completely undrinkable. I tried several times to choke it down but just couldn't do it. I even had my wife and daughter tried and they thought the same thing as well. When I politely asked if I could swap the drink out for something different. I was told, "No, you ordered it so too bad." The owner then went on to try and explain to me over several minutes how ingredients are expensive so they cannot make any drinks swap outs. So rather than making a client happy, she chose to explain to me how her P&L would be affected. If you like supporting local establishments that choose to put customer satisfaction at the very bottom of their list this is the spot for you! read more

Sadly I have to say I've given up on trying to buy smoothies here. I'd stopped buying them quite some time ago due to inconsistency but today my husband ordered a smoothie and when he drank it he said it tasted like flavored ice. I brought his smoothie back in and asked to switch it to another drink that he's liked before. Got in the car and tasted it and it again tasted like bitter flavored fruit and ice. Not sure what the issue is as we love these smoothies when we purchase them from Emerald Citys in Tacoma. Seems like employees don't follow the recipes unfortunately. read more

This is the second time I have stopped in around opening time and they were not open at their designated business hours. Each time I waited 5-10 minutes for them to open the doors. Many customers came and went in that small time frame due to the doors not being unlocked. There was no apology, no discount, nothing for making the customer wait. Then on top of it the person working kept taking orders behind me after I paid and instead of giving my my drinks she made me wait until she took the long order from the person behind me and then handed me my smoothies. I highly recommend taking care of the customer in front of you then moving on to the next, especially after the wait for the shop to open. Highly doubt I will be back, especially after this being the second experience of the same thing. read more

Usually I'm very with Emerald City, however the last few times I've been in the smoothie have been less than satisfying. Could it be a new protein or could it be laziness in the prep of of the smoothies. All in all if I buying a smoothie for $7-10 then I want it to taste great. Been sitting here 20 minutes and she's only served two customers, so figured I'd review the Bonney Lake emerald city smoothie while i wait... I've always went to auburn emerald so to see it's taken the girl 10 minutes per drink and she has no ability to make more than one at a time for some reason that escapes me as I'm watching the line behind me grow....so if you're coming by make sure you've got a half hour to wait on what should be a 3 minute drink. ok so I had to edit this post after looking at the others to see why this location is rated so poorly....so multiple people complain that this location is horribly slow and the owner hasn't trained there employees how to be far more efficient with! This place definitely isn't going to make it with slow employees and owners that don't care enough to train there crew when so many complain about the same issue. read more

The smoothies are fine, but some of the employees take forever to make the smoothies. My other complaint is the girl who stands there staring at you as you're paying with a credit card. I can feel her eyes prying at my PIN # every time I have to type it in, and also watching if I'm leaving a tip, and how much it is. While I'm paying you can take that time to make the smoothie, saving everyone some time, and not making me feel like I'm being force banged into leaving a tip, and having my PIN # scouted for. I miss the Emerald Smoothie that I used to live by in Puyallup. Service was always quick and it was always a great experience coming in to get my post workout smoothie. I'd had the same expectation when iovwd to Bonney Lake but have been pretty disappointed thus far. Especially when you are advertising that you're open until 7 m-f and pull up at 6:55 and the doors already locked. I get that it's close to closing BUT that's still plenty of time to serve a customer who's just worked out at the gym and looking forward to having a smoothie. read more

The smoothies are pretty good, my only real complaints is that they literally up-charge you for every little thing! If you want to substitute a flavor or anything like that, its extra! Also you only get a stamp on your punch card when you buy the HUGE 24 ounce... I feel like you should get a punch regardless of which size, thats what most drink places do! read more

So I was feeling inspired one day and decided to hit the gym (cuz I paid for a whole year of membership so I figured I'd get my money's worth by going at least once). I decided to stop by the Bonney Lake's Emerald City Smoothie cuz it's the one place I haven't visited yet. I placed my order (more of this, less of that) and after that drink, I decided, I love this place!!! The staffs are friendly and, most importantly, got my special (some say difficult) order correct. I frequent this place many many times after and it's a great experience every time!!! I went to other emerald city smoothie stores before and this place is my FAV!!! So if you ever find yourself in the Bonney Lake area, stop by this joint and get yourself a SMOOTHIE or just go there and get it! The Bonney Lake location of this chain store is almost as good as the South Hill location. They have a very friendly staff and make amazing smoothies! I stop in every time I'm in town. read more

My smoothie was okay but really lacked flavor. The inside of the store felt dirty and unorganized. They didn't have many products on the shelf. It almost felt like they didn't care or it was going out of business. I will stick with the Emerald City in Auburn. read more

I've gotten several smoothies from here and every time no matter what size of smoothie I get, it is ALL ice after half way through. They ALWAYS put too much ice in. If you want a smoothie go to Sonics just down the road. They have smoothies that aren't ALL ice and are cheaper! read more

Very disappointed with my smoothies and service from here. I always have to order my drinks with extra flavor because they use way too much ice. Even after adding extra flavor which she charged $1 for a pump of syrup, the smoothies always taste watered down.
