I brought him In Friday Everything was going well, UNTIL I got a call on Saturday saying he was ready for pick up and my total was $2,800. we drove down to pick him up, I spoke to April to let her know we were outside ready to pick up my dog. She then said no one called us to let us know he was ready.... I proceeded to tell her a gentlemen called us this morning saying he was ready, she kept saying no. She finally went and asked and she said I was correct, the nurses and doctor were not on the same page. Doctor wanted him to stay till about 6 PM And the nurse that was evaluating him said he was good to go. Oh and by the way my new total was $3,000!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Also she mentioned that my neighbor had an open credit of $4,500 when we had agreed on $2,500.. THEY HAD SOMEBODY ELSES CREDIT CARD UNDER MY FILE!!!!!!! I decided to pick him up because something wasn't right, I told April I would be there in 10 mins.. I went back I called to let them know I was outside Lynette answered. She was VERY RUDE She said no one was aware that I was coming to pick him up. I was infuriated at this point. I brought my baby home. Gave him all of his meds, went back 2 days later to remove his drains, they said everything looked fine, he still had the 4 holes open!!! So today 05/22/2020 My husband took him to get his stitches removed, they told him his wound was infected and they were going to charge us another $1500-$1900 so they can redo the surgery. My husband decided to leave him there meantime he came home and we discussed what we were going to do. We told them not to do anything to him until we came to an agreement. I called to see what was going on, I decided to take him elsewhere, when I picked him up he had no stitches, his wound was literally open like nothing. When I told the lady I was taking him elsewhere she was very rude about it. PLEASE SAVE YOUR MONEY and go else where. I literally took him somewhere else and paid $150. read more

Wow. My vets office wanted to put my appointment out for my 13 and 11 year old dogs. They have been sick for a couple of weeks and we were quite worried. We ask if they could refer us somewhere else to get in sooner. They referred us to the emergency vet hospital in murrietta who expected us to go park in their parking lot between 4-8 hours with the dogs. As I stated they were throwing up, diarrhea, wouldn't eat etc. and they wanted us to wait in a car with dogs that sick for 4-8 hrs. Not going to happen. Called back our vet and they had us call the emergency vet in Temecula. They told us to come right down and examined our 2 dogs for any immediate concerns. They did this at NO charge. What a God send these folks are. Such a caring and friendly staff. I cannot give them enough thank you's. They set our minds at ease made recommendations and both my dogs ate the food the vet recommended and they haven't eaten in a couple of days. Thank you guys so, so much. God bless you all read more

I had to take my 5 year old lab there today, on Easter for a couple sores on his right foot. It ended up being a foxtail that had travelled up his foot. The veterinarian at the clinic was extremely helpful and fixed my dog right up. My own vet wanted to do this crazy $1000 surgery on him because they thought it was a tumor. So I called to bring my dog in. The man on the phone told me that he would give me a wait time to see how long I would be waiting till he was seen. Then he transferred me to a woman who took my name and number and said ok see you soon. I come all the way from hemet to have my dog be seen and they ask if I was called I said no but the woman on the phone said we will see you soon and hung up never said anything about them having to call me to come in. So of course I'm concerned for my pet so I'm frustrated someone else got on the phone to just repeat to me that they have to call and I told her I was not told that's how it works here. I've been to places where they will add us to a wait list so we dont have to wait extra long when we got there. Of course because it's apparently my fault they won't take him in even if I sit and wait for my turn. These are horrible people and if you care about your pet take them else where. Last Thursday my German Shepard ate rat poison . It was 5:50pm my husband called a nearby vet who told him we are closing in 10 minutes so he said, "should I wait until tomorrow?" She replied "NO!" Take her somewhere right away. I googled rat poisoning and it's terrible what it does to animals. It attacks the central nervous system and breaks down myelin sheets that are a coating around our nerves, it causes hind leg paralysis, seizures and ultimately death! OMGawsh now I was freaking out! Now there are two emergency vet clinics this one was closer. The one off of Los Alamos my aunt happens to work at and they are super expensive! She said try this place but if they don't take us in right away to pick up and move on. She told me it wasn't going to be cheap and Roxy Rue would need to be hospitalized, with IV fluids blood work I was freaking out to say the least! When we arrived they were expecting us because we called ahead. The tech came out immediately and asked if they could induce vomiting. I filled out paperwork while they induced vomiting. Then we met with the doctor on staff Dr Pace (Who is a specialist in critical care he did an extra 4 years after regular vet School). He advised us she didn't intake enough to have a detrimental effect. They saw the bright green pieces come up when she vomited and they were going to give her another injection to stop vomiting and she would be perfectly fine. No follow up needed (WHEW). In and out within an hour and paid $204 for the emergency visit. All the staff were friendly helpful and answered all questions. They even called the next day to check on her. read more

The staff who worked early morning on Sunday September 18 were so lovely. Our dear pup was in distress from congestive heart failure and it was obvious the time at come to make the merciful choice. It was 3:30 in the morning when I called them to see if they could take us in, and they were able to. I won't go into details but the staff was kind, empathetic, and very sensitive as we said our goodbyes to our beloved pup. We had all the time we needed, and he passed peacefully and without pain. We are grateful to the staff (I'm so sorry I don't remember your names) for helping us say goodbye with the dignity that our furry family member deserved. read more

DO NOT TAKE YOUR PET HERE. We waited over four hours for our dog to be seen last night, despite being told her case would be seen "almost immediately." She has at least two puncture wounds from a dog fight. After a four hour wait, the vet told us what we already reported: the two puncture wounds. They could not tell us the cost to clean the wounds or to give her stitches, how long it would take, or how much the medication would be. After 5 hours there, I asked for my dog to be released back to me for the lack of care and attention. They charged me $140 in order for my dog to be discharged back to me, threatening that the charge would be sent into collections if I did not pay. This is the last place any pet should be seen-especially in such a traumatizing, vulnerable situation. I paid the charge so we could finally go home at 1am. I am waiting for the owner to call me back and give me a refund. read more

Last night was one of the most difficult times of our lives. Our 14 year old mini schnauzer was in distress. We brought her into Emergency Pet Clinic, and a young lady by the name of Haelee greeted us. She gently took our baby, and assured us she was in the best of hands. While the Vet was assessing our girl, Haelee explained in detail, step by step what was happening. Blood work and why, ultrasound, barium etc... She kept us up to date as things progressed. Gently, she prepared us for the worst. Her words were extremely kind and professional. She gently eased us into what we should expect in the next few days. This could have been completely overwhelming, but Haelee made sure we understood and prepared us. If there ever is a time you need emergency care for you pet, this is the place with compassion. We brought my sweet five pound Chihuahua, Hazel, here Sunday afternoon after she developed a wet cough and labored breathing. The staff triaged her by phone and got her in immediately despite taking all the safety precautions needed for Covid. Hazel was quickly seen and treated by Dr. Matt Owens who stayed in contact with us and updated us on her condition. Hazel initially improved to the point where we thought we could bring her home last night, but sadly she suddenly took a very unexpected turn while in the hospital. I was able to return in time to hold Hazel in my arms as she took her last breaths. The compassion extended to me by this staff and especially Dr. Owens was beyond appreciated. I was told multiple times to take all the time I needed with Hazel. She was lovingly placed in my arms by Dr. Owens... and just as lovingly taken away by Dr. Owens when I was ready. The patience and compassion I was given last night will forever be part of my memories and I am forever grateful to the care we received and the love shown to my sweet Hazel. I know sometimes staff can get jaded... they are busy, they see heartbreak, tears, & death a lot. But they treated us with such compassion and dignity... we knew they cared and that they felt Hazel mattered. Thank you, Dr. Owen and staff of Emergency Pet Clinic of Temecula. read more

I've never been to this emergency vet clinic before. But, on New Years Day, with my vet office closed, this is where I went. Dr Houston and their staff are perfect representation of what emergency care should look like. Our 19 year old cat, named Olivia, had a horrific accident. We've had this girl for 17 years. With the significant injuries she sustained, we knew she'd need to be put to sleep. This staff went well above and beyond. They immediately took her and gave her pain meds. Her pressure was low and she was fading fast. They had her on blow by oxygen and were making her as comfortable as possible. We as a family were able to go right into the back treatment room and see her for our final goodbye. My husband stayed with her right in that treatment room and held her paw as she took her final breath. This girl was our first baby and was the highlight of cats; beyond epic. The staff was phenomenal by allowing us time to see our girl and making her comfortable. From door to treatment was minutes. There was total silence in the waiting room as people could see the grief and pain we were enduring. Thank you to the staff and the people who were waiting for care and treatment of their pets. read more

I can't believe it's taken me so long to leave this review, this actually happened quite a few months ago but I wanted to make sure I gave them a 5-star rating for the care we received! My sister and I noticed our cat behaving very strangely one night and quickly realized there was something very wrong. He was in pain, very uncomfortable, and started throwing up. We live in Murrieta and there are a couple locations nearby that had info online that said they were 24-hour emergency Vets but when we drove up we found they were closed. (Still don't understand how the hours and info online were so incorrect...) We quickly looked up the next closest place, which was the Emergency Pet Clinic in Temecula. The reviews were high and their info online said they were open late, so we rushed there as fast as we could and thankfully they were in fact open. When we came in, there were 2 women there that night and they were very helpful and quick to take our cat back to examine him. They were very gentle and caring with the way they handled him and examined him. I wish I could remember their names! They quickly figured out what was wrong, explained the situation and what kind of treatments they would need to do. My sister and I figured it would be a bit pricey since it was an emergency vet, and it was. Being around $2,000 I asked if there was anything that could possibly wait until we could take our cat to our regular Vet (of course if they said the treatments were necessary we would go ahead and let them do whatever they needed to do to help him) and they were very understanding. They let us know which treatments could wait and which were absolutely necessary, which brought the bill down substantially. Still around $1,600 but we REALLY appreciated how willing they were to help us! They told us he needed to stay overnight and filled us in on exactly what was going on and how they were treating him. They also let us know what time they close in the morning (since they are an overnight emergency Vet location only) and what time we could come pick him up so we could then transfer him to our regular Vet. We came back in the morning, our cat was ready to go exactly when they said he would be, and they were still so gentle, sweet, and caring with how they handled him. We really appreciated the amount of care they showed him throughout the entire ordeal and how quickly and efficiently they worked to make him feel more comfortable and at ease. Hopefully we won't ever need to rush our pets to an emergency Vet ever again, but if we do, we will absolutely bring them to Emergency Pet Clinic! read more

It is truly unreal to me that the front office staff still has jobs here. I would give there customer service negative stars if I could. They were so rude and unhelpful for the entirety of our two hour wait in the lobby. The actual vet was nice, but not worth dealing with the other employees. I called the Vet because he swallowed a seed. They said time was of the essence and they have only about 1 Hr window where they can have them throw it up. We got him there and sat in the waiting room for about another 1/2 hr. They had him throw up and a seed came up but did an x-ray and found another that had already moved from his stomach to small intestine. Not sure if that 1/2 we sat there filling out papers agreeing to payment and whatever made a difference. Anyway they suggested we have them surgically remove it as to not cause any internal damage, made it sound really routine. We agreed and the vet called later to say they did not have to cut the intestine and were able to squeeze it up back into his stomach and get it out with a tube. I thought great, less chance of complications and faster recovery. They let us take him home that night but he was not right and seemed really doped up for so many hours after after the surgery. Two days went by where he could barely move and would not eat or drink. I called and they said it was OK that he was note eating and if after two days he would still not eat to bring him back. He did finally eat the evening of 2nd day home but by morning had got sick and could not keep down any food and had become very thirsty and would drink and trow up. He kept drinking bowls of water and throwing them up for about and hour so I called them an said we were bringing him back right away. They said he was very dehydrated and now had sever pancreatitis according to a blood test and they they should keep him. I agreed and called numerous times to check on him. Each person I talked to each time seemed unaware of his situation even thought it was so extreme and concerning. They even commented they were going to feed him again in a few hours although the doctor had said they were doing a 24 hour fast on him and he already had not had food in almost 5 days at this point. This was a 10LB Shih Tzu so that long with no food. I called again to see what they were doing for him but again got no real answers. They only thing they would say is he is not throwing up and they were going to try liquid food to help his appetite and if that did not work they wee going to start to force feeding him. They then further said no news is good new. About 6 am the following morning they call me to say he went into cardiac arrest and they had been doing about 20 minutes of CPR and it was not working. They asked if they should proceed, telling me they charge by the minute. Really like I cared about that. Why take the break to call me and ask about yet more charges. It seemed that was all they cared about was taking payments.I 100% feel they killed my previously happy healthy dog and I wish to god I would have been cheap enough to not pay for the surgery and just let him try to pass the small apricot seed. The result could not have possibly been any worse or heartbreaking for me, my husband and our children who had the dog since they started kindergarten since he was 5 weeks old. The message here is really think twice about what you are doing to your pet and really investigate, even get a second opinion and make sure that one hand knows what the other is doing. It seems there is complete lack of communication over there. read more

My 13 year old dachshund was having serious respiratory issues and my regular vet was unable to see us on short notice, so I took him to the emergency clinic early on a Tuesday morning. Dr Bryden stabilized him, took x-rays and an ultrasound of his lungs. The news wasn't good. He had advanced metastatic neoplasia (cancer) . The Vet explained what she was seeing, what the options and the likely outcomes of each were. She was very patient, took the time to answer all my questions. It was determined that the prognosis wasn't good and the most humane route was euthnasia. I was able to visit with my dog in a quiet designated room for as long as I wanted and held him through the entire procedure. I opted to take him home for burial. I never felt rushed, the staff was very understanding and repeatedly offered their condolences. The Vet and her support staff made a very difficult situation bearable. I wouldn't hesitate to take another of pets to this clinic. read more

I took my Golden Retriever in on Sunday because her sutures reopened the second time from surgery. Dr. Fang explained my options and I decided on a revision. She had a culture done earlier in the week and we did not know the results however he recommended a different antibiotic. Dr. Houston performed the procedure since she came in when Dr. Fang's shift ended. She informed me when it was done. I picked her up early the next day and took her to my primary vet on Tuesday. The culture came back and the prescribed antibiotics are what she needed. I am very happy with the knowledge and caring of this place. read more

last night the unthinkable happened and my partner and I found ourselves rushing our 8.5 year old BBM to the E-vet after he has a seizure out of nowhere. obviously this was extremely traumatic for myself, my partner and all of our dogs (his littermate saw the seizure happen and had to be quickly removed from the room, when he was let out of the dog room we had already loaded my baby up in the truck). knowing that my city doesnt have a 24 hour E-vet I called ahead to EPIC to inform them that we were about half an hour away and give an overview of what had happened. From the moment we walked into the door the treated my baby as if he were their own family despite the fact that I had him muzzled (not typically a bite risk but after a seizure...sometimes animals can be unpredictable and it is important to me that everyone be comfortable as possible, including my baby who is muzzle trained and did SO well). They immediately took him to the back and began stabilizing him. despite how scary the situation was the staff were wonderful every step of the way and I am so thankful for the love that they gave my boy while he was in their care. Everyone that we met was amazing, very professional and you could tell that they love pets as much as pet parents do. Never once felt judged by anyone there about the fact that he didnt smell freshly bathed as I would have preferred if it were a planned visit or about his nail length that I am getting under control and while no one was rude about his weight they made a point to mention that he is on the larger size and were happy when they learned how much he had already lost since hitting his peak. My baby is home with me now and hasn't had an episode since but the vets sent him home with pain meds after discovering that what had been mild arthritis a year ago was now very severe. I really can't thank the staff enough but I am so grateful for every one of them and I am happy to refer friends and neighbors at any oppertunity. read more

My dog was rammed by my ram (the animal not the truck) in the face on of course a Sunday night. I was thinking about waiting until the vet opened on Monday morning but decided to take him into the emergency vet right away. They took him in right away to triage him. Before they did any procedure they asked my permission first and told me the cost so there were no hidden costs. They gave my dog the best care possible and immediately. The wait was not that long and I had preliminary results within an hour. The doctor answered all of my questions (obviously there were a lot when having to care for a dog with a skull fracture) Within two hours we were discharged with everything we needed for supportive care. On top of that the doctors call to check in on him to see how he is doing. With that being said we couldn't have gotten better care from the doctors. To make things even better, we weren't price gouged because it was an emergency/after hours. read more

Worst place I've ever taken my animal to. My puppy was sick, we brought her in and they gave us a 800 estimate; in the end we paid 2400. They told us to be ready to pick up our puppy between 7-8 Sunday morning. Now that we're here its 830. The blonde Ashley YELLED at me to wait because I was asking to pick up my puppy. And I added that I was concerned because I heard my dog crying, Ashley snapped that it wasn't our dog it was a Yorkshire terrior ( we have a Maltese yorkie) funny thing is; on our paperwork they called our dog a Yorkshire terrior. And after their horrible service and respect they say we can't come back. Hahaha GOOD we'd never come back to this hell hole. read more
